The entire Sathya Sai Baba organization in one giant cult, and I was once one of the cult followers, 1981-2000. Most of the devotees of SSB are honest and honorable people--but I exclude the national and international leaders, because they know the truth of Sai Baba. They know that he molests teen boys, they know he is a rapacious homosexual, they know he fakes the manifetations of trinkets and vibhuti--and they know him to be a windbag who is often totally lacking in mundane knowledge that any graduate student would know. Yet these so-called leaders support SSB and they believe him to be God Almighty here on Earth. Cults are known by their leaders and total loyalty to the cult leader. This one fits all the categories and characteristics of an international one, subtle in its applications of beliefs and keeping the overwhelming majority of the membership from knowing the truth about their counterfeit leader.
