Over 1,400 persons have so far signed the petition for a legal process against Sathya Sai Baba. These include a long list of former devotees, founder members of the Sathya Sai Organization in many countries and many former office-bearers. In 2001, the Indian Supreme Court’s Sai-devoted judges summarily threw out a petition brought against Sathya Sai Baba for sexual molestation of numerous foreign young men [several having been brought up from childhood to believe he is God Almighty Himself]. However, the official evidence of the petition in the Supreme Court’s archives were illegally removed, but despite this one copy was obtained in advance by the petitioners and verified by affidavit. The prominent Indian lawyer and Senior Attorney of the Supreme Court, Kamini Jaiswal conducted the petition against Sathya Sai Baba, which was rejected by the judges appointed by the Sai devotee Justice Anand. (See further here). This travesty of justice is not atypical of the Supreme Court, as the Indian media have repeatedly reported in numerous incidents. Though Sathya Sai Baba has escaped justice so far through his top level governmental and judicial protection, the pertinent information is available and the international community can easily access the documentation. The Sai petition was the product of the JuST group, then 32 former office-bearers or prominent professionals who were once followers of Sai Baba.
