Sai Baba promised vast miracle soon

It is remarkable how Sathya Sai devotees and Organization leaders and members carefully avoid repeating two of his predictions of an incredible miracle of mythological proportions within his lifetime (apart from a few utterly gullible followers on the lunatic fringe) and another impossible feat which he has promised he will perform. These are yet two more far too embarrassing facts about him for his supporters to have to defend, one must assume? Sathya Sai Baba is now around 82 (minus 3 years, according to official records), so there can’t be long to wait to see! Here is the text published in Sathya Sai Speaks (new ed. Vol. 3, p. 92):-
“Let me tell you one more thing: Nothing can impede or halt the work of this Avathaara… Formerly when the Govardhanagiri (mountain) was raised aloft by a little boy, the gopis and gopalas realised that Krishna was the Lord. Now, it is not one Govardhanagiri, a whole range will be lifted, you will see!”
|When dharma declines or rather, when those who have a duty to regulate their lives according to dharma lose faith in it, then, its restoration cannot be taken up by all and sundry… The Lord has come again on this Mission. He has collected the engineers and contractors and the labour for this purpose. He is not set on the task.”Let me tell you one more thing: Nothing can impede or halt the work of this Avathaara… Formerly when the Govardhanagiri (mountain) was raised aloft by a little boy, the gopis and gopalas realised that Krishna was the Lord. Now, it is not one Govardhanagiri , a whole range will be lifted, you will see!” (Sathya Sai Speaks Vol. 3, p. 92 – new edition)|
The world will doubtless also gasp and faint to see him flying bodily through the sky without an aeroplane
“I will have to forego the car and even the aeroplane when I move from place to place, for the crowds pressing around them will be too huge; I will have to move across the sky; yes, that too will happen, believe Me.” (Sathya Sai Speaks Vol. II, p. 92)
So will you take him at his word and believe him? NOT advisable, risky indeed in almost any circumstance! But, if it were not just bluff, then the world will doubtless gasp and faint to see him flying bodily through the sky without an aeroplane. Perhaps the image shown below gives some very rough idea of how he might appear?
How soon is ‘very soon’? How will divine power differ from any other power?
According to David Jevons of the Ramala Centre, Glastonbury, writing in 2000, Sai Baba “has recently said that we will very soon witness this divine power manifesting in the world. I quote from a recent discourse: ‘Many events are going to take place very soon. Many mega projects are going to come up. The time is not far off when people will see me at different places at the same time. I may be travelling in a car, but at the same time I shall be giving darshan at Sai Kulwant hall and at the same time I shall be speaking at the Hillview Stadium.’” (http://www.ramalacentre.com/newsletter09_00_01.htm)
The main event as regards Sathya Sai Baba that has occured since 2000 is that his reputation in the eyes of the world has gone irretrievably down the drain. Interestingly, his reputation is aggravated further by the virulent fanaticism of those in total denial who defend him by obviously untruthful and ridiculous attempts at character assassination of all critics of Sai Baba.
