It is well known that the petition to the Supreme Court by Hari Sampath in 2001, forwarded by the famous lawyer Kamini Jaiswal, was summarily dismissed by corrupt Sai Baba devotee judges (which is documented, despite the Supreme Court having destroyed its record of the proceedings!). Further, Basava Premanand tried to bring Sathya Sai Baba to justice for the murders in his apartment of June, 1993, without being able to penetrate the legal smokescreens and cover-ups (see here and also here) Also, according to a verdict given in 1999 by the Supreme Court of India (SC), Sathya Sai Baba should have been arrested long before that judgement. This was reported then in The Hindu as follows:-
The Hindu: SC upholds order against ‘godman’:
By T. Padmanabha Rao NEW DELHI, JULY 16.
The Supreme Court has upheld a Nellore Magistrate’s order which took cognizance’ of an alleged offence of ‘cheating’ against a `godman’ (appellant) and issued warrant of arrest against him after the police filed the ‘report’ on completion of the ‘reinvestigation of the case’ – which was earlier ordered by the Magistrate.
