Faked information about the Duke of Edinburgh Award

The Guardian newspaper exposed the fraudulent claims of the official Sathya Sai Baba site that the Duke of Edinburgh had made an award to Sathya Sai Baba, showing that it was simply a standard award to a boy who wrote the name Sathya Sai Baba on his application. Thousands of youth have received this award. Mr. Westgarth, representing the Duke [see http://www.saibaba-x.org.uk/15/Sai-tehelka-2000.htm
http://www.saibaba-x.org.uk/15/Guardian&Paul_Lewis.html] said that ‘the event had been misrepresented’ and Palace authorities informed our representative in London that the official Sai website had been forced to take down their promotion of this, which they also did. Later however, in the evident desperation to continue to deceive followers about the already over-publicised award to Sai Baba, they sneaked the false information back onto their website under cover of an unobtrusive archive of former postings! So Sathya Sai Baba cannot even claim indirect recognition of any sort by the Duke of Edinburgh, and our contact to the Palace have assured us that this will never occur in any way in future either.
