Sathya Sai Baba preaches – but never really teaches – because his ideas are too vague, over-generalised and often in conflict with fact and proved theory. In common with other sects and cults in other religions, he relies most heavily on countless abstractions which are woven into a traditional dogma to try to make people believe in many things which are sheer superstition, speculation and have no counterpart in real life. This is using the power of the belief in otherworldly realms (the existence of which is unproven and doubtful in the extreme) to try to control people – a most unrealistic way to try to solve the world’s conflict problems (which conflicts no religion so far seems ever to have solved, but which they have often caused and aggravated). Like many universal religious and also political abstractions, these ideas lend themselves to authoritarian agendas to obtain social control and manipulative power and turn out to function as subtle ways as a means of control and manipulation in religious or ‘spiritual’ sects and cults..
TWO KEY RELIGIOUS IDEAS CRITICALLY EXAMINED
Love, love, love… meaning what exactly? The concept of eternal, unconditional love… a dream!
Read what is wrong with the impracticable and delusory idea of ‘love’ as ‘eternal’ in Sathya Sai Baba’s “teachings”
The idea of Unity (as in unity with all beings, God etc.) is highly misleading when used to set up behavioural ideals from which to measure, judge (and denigrate) the unique individual and the diversity of life.
Read what religious ideas of ‘unity’ are misused as constantly preached by Sathya Sai Baba’s in simplistic and unworkable otherworldly ways.
