Sathya Sai Baba: India to lead a unified world soon

Why does Sathya Sai Baba continue making such rash and unfulfillable prophecies about ‘Bharat’ (i.e. India)? Who in the world will believe that the above predictions will come true? Only the blindest and least informed true believing devotees who are dependent on him and their faith in him despite all fact, reason and knowledge.

We see how Sai Baba is cocooned from what the world knows as reality within the cult that totally surrounds him… a social fortress as much as a physical one. Not one of his followers  can inform him of any fact that might contradict him in the slightest way. He does not even have a ‘court jester’ who can enable him to see that he is an ’emperor with no clothes’. Since he began to proclaim himself the Creator of the Universe and to embody everything in the line of divinity one can imagine, he lost more and more of any grip on reality, and things have clearly only got worse. Absorbed in his imaginary world of love and bliss, he is riding the tiger of deception to the complete destruction of his credibility on anything, for he cannot dismount it. Not without most of his devotees leaving him. To see at what a huge remove from reality he lives, I shall detail some of his other preposterously misguided statements in his Convocation discourse in later blogs.

Meanwhile, not again the tremendous gaffe which was immediately edited out of web pages and sound recordings by all his propaganda merchants  – except the one about no bombs or fears in India some days before the Mumbai horrors (see Sathya Sai bomb claim demolishes his credibility. We can thank the otherwise systematic disinformation website saibabaofindia.com for overlooking and so displaying this astonishingly rash statement of his.

What can one make of the following superficial empty talk?

“While several countries of the world have faced calamities of various kinds, Bharat has remained stable. It is a country richly endowed with a variety of wealth”

That India is stable and has not faced calamities is not even a half-truth. One need only mention Partition (cause of vast and horrendous killings of millions), Kashmir, over which 3 wars with Pakistan were fought. Now there is a stand-off founded in misinformation and enmity (hardly a stable state of affairs with nuclear options at hand on both sides). Another recent destabilising calamity was the tsunami which ruined countless lives, plus the many bomb and terror attacks, the major religious killing sprees which continue to destabilise normal relations, and now the economic meltdown currently underway. Add to this the world-famous level of political corruption and strife.

As to being a richly endowed country, it is richly endowed with over 800 million near paupers and countless sufferings virtually unimaginable in any Western European country… a truly unjust society where the rich and poor are as far apart as anywhere in the world.

This is the country which Sathya Sai Baba claims is the engine which will pull the entire world back to a superstitious anti-scholarly, anti-scientific state and a universal puritan morality – all by 2031 or so! And everyone will call then themselves Indians (i.e. Bharatiyas imbued with godliness)?
