Moreno dares not show his face. Why?

Ever since shortly after he first appeared as a pro-Sai obfuscator (and saboteur of the International Sai petition with bogus and untruthful submissions and comments) in 2004, Gerald Joe Moreno has tried to hide his face and cover his tracks on the Internet. He posted his website via an Indian third party web service to make locating his server undiscoverable to non-technical Internet users. This was nonetheless traced to U.S. server lunarpages.com, where libelous websites by him are still hosted.

From the start Moreno posted a photo of my son Kai and me, which is my copyright. When asked to remove it he refused point blank with absurd excuses (see http://www.saisathyasai.com/baba/emails-kai-priddy.html) and soon set about viciously attacking my son (who is totally uninvolved with any Sai criticism) in web pages trawling every possible association he could trace, though my son had no part in the things he managed to find remotely related, such as through a band in which he used to perform decades ago. Moreno uses photos of me and my son without permission despite our requests of removal. Yet he tries his utmost to get the one available image of himself removed!

When his photo was posted on the web by the scholar he has attacked vitriolically – Kevin Shepherd – he complained in an e-mail and said he would contact Shepherd’s server to remove it. He did not succeed. Recently, after Moreno continued his graphic attacks on me, such as by manipulating my image in cartoon fashion – a penchant of his and not the kind of thing any or defender of ‘spirituality’ or decent ‘researcher’ would ever do – which he fatuously claims to be (he is just an Internet trawler). Therefore I considered it meet to post his photo so that people – not least Sai Baba devotees – could see with whom they may be dealing. I did so on wordpress.com, knowing that it is possible to get wordpress to remove copyright materials (for which they have a singular honour, since Google has not complied with many proven requests). Since I received an infringement notification from wordpress.com that some blogs of Moreno on wordpress had been removed at my request, I fully expected Moreno to complain against me in tit-for-tat fashion as usual, and he did! Mark of wordpress.com mailed (18 March 2009) to warn me that the person in the image I used several times had complained and asked for its removal! So far I have not complied… Moreno claimed that he had been asked to remove the blogs in question, and that had done so himself (not admitting any wrong doing, of course), but the infringement notice made very clear he had NO OPTION.
