Nityananda’s pleas rejected by Karnataka High Court.

“The Karnataka High Court has rejected a plea by self-styled godman Nityananda for furnishing him a copy of the charge sheet by the CID in connection with the rape case. The CID has filed a charge sheet on the 27th of November charging Nityananda with rape and unnatural sex and also against four of his associates for abetting the crime.”

Bangalore: The chargesheet filed by the CID against self-styled godman Swami Nityananda and four of his disciples for alleged rape and unnatural sex will come up for hearing in Karnataka High Court on Wednesday.
Nitya Sachidananda, Nitya Sadananda and Ragini were also accused of assisting Nityananda in committing rape and unnatural sex.
According to the chargesheet, a woman devotee had deposed before the CID that she was repeatedly raped by Nityananda at his ashram in Bidadi and other parts of the country.
“From mid June we did get a lot of vital evidences that was after he got bail. First is a victim of rape and she has come to us and have told various instances where she was subjected to rape,” Charan Reddy, DIG, Karnataka CID.
