Dharna and writ threat against Satha Sai Central Trust

Posted by robertpriddy on May 31, 2011

Latest News: As earlier reported, ex-Minister of the Telugu Desam Party, Nagireddy, challenged the secretive and unaccountable Sathya Sai Central Trust to release all details of the illness and death of Sathya Sai Baba. (The original Telugu text was posted at translation is found here). He has continued in the face of their silence, as the Times of India reports (see inset scan). Now the Trust promises details by June 16th. One must ask, why so long? One suspects that the Trust members are conniving on how best to conceal their role, avoid transparency and present a unified front against all those who want openness and accountability.

Ex.minister Nagireddy is apparently a devotee of Sathya Sai Baba, having stated that the Sathya Sai Central Trust members are responsible for the death of Sai Baba. of subjecting him to mental torture and not feeding him properly. He was told by some trust members that during his hospitalization on March 28th, a tearful Baba had begged devotees to save him. He said he would go to court and launch a dharna at Prashanthi if the Trust did not provide him details about Sai Baba’s hospital admission register, case sheet, and details of treatment administered to him. (Wikipedia defines a dharna (Hindi: धरना), as a fast undertaken at the door of an offender, especially a debtor, in India as a means of obtaining compliance with a demand for justice, such as payment of a debt. In India there are designated places for conducting Dharna, and a permission is required for it. Often, those practicing dharna break the permission leading to clashes with law enforcement. Dharna generally refers to fixing one’s mind on an object. It refers to whole-heartedly pledging toward an outcome or to inculcating a directed attitude. Dharna is consciously and diligently holding a point of view with the intent of achieving a goal.)

The failing International Sai Organization, its dilemmas and unpopularity

Posted by robertpriddy on May 30, 2011

The International Sai Organization is evidently struggling even harder than before to try to create some attractions to followers. During the last years, Sathya Sai Baba said nothing new and has been unavailable to all but a limited number of persons around him. The Sai Organization has always struggled to recruit new members, managing only to get a small fraction of supposed followers to join as members (despite production of inflated figures across the board!). Many have left the organization, increasingly after the exposure of Sathya Sai Baba’s widely reported sexual activities in 1999, but dissatisfaction with the running, the rules, the lack of openings for feedback or initiatives other than those the manipulative and largely ineffectual leaders accepted, all of whom were mere puppets for what Sai Baba and his top advisors decided. Now that the Sathya Sai Central Trust is in complete disarray and has been seen by all to be an extremely secretive and suspicious set-up, the organization is not unaffected. All this shows that much of the hot air has leaked from the Sai balloon already. The ‘authorities’ are in difficulties – as the fact that this blog has risen so high on Google searches also shows. There is almost nothing with which they can really interest people, and only the most totally converted ‘lost souls’ are going to read all the boring and un-inventive parrot-like speeches or lectures the organization is preparing for their websites and meetings. After the ignominious death and failure of Sai Baba by any reckoning to reach 96 years of age (as widely published by major newspapers), his credibility in the wider world cannot but sink further from now on.

Most likely, the razzamatazz Disneyland-style Puttaparthi set-up with its garish colours and architecture will remain a major pilgrimage destination for ordinary Indians for the foreseeable future, especially if the showpiece festivities are stepped up as planned. It has been expressly built for that purpose, especially over the last 10 years, with the aid of money from the Andhra Pradesh government to promote tourism and free or cheap rail passes and other State-subsidised transport facilities. The flamboyant Chaitanya Jyoti building and its crude propaganda is a prime exhibit, a delight for simple minds – as is the Sai Baba promotional ‘Spiritual Heritage Museum’. Free handouts of sweets and simple meals – costing little to the super-rich ashram – have also been a large attraction to villagers and poor people wanting a day out, of course.  So we now have, for lower middle class Indians and peasants, a minor Tirupati, or a minor Shirdi. That is the way India still works. Pop religion is thriving there, especially under more modern gurus like Baba Ramdev – who makes no divine claims, except perhaps about the curative powers of Yoga.  Until education levels rise for the “plebs”, it will remain so.

My mailbox regularly receives evidence that there are those who have felt the abuse of faith – also on their bodies – and who know from personal experience that most of the ‘mystery’ that Sathya Sai Baba and his minions have built up around him is a cynical snare, a miasma and a delusion.Just today the mail scanned and shown on the right was forwarded to me:-

Meanwhile, the Sai Organization outside India and countries which have large resident Indian or Tamil populations (Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Fiji, Trinidad etc.) has lost many adherents and will no doubt suffer a withering now that the person of Sai Baba is no more and cannot be visited or bestow supposed blessings. There are many other gurus and self-appointed avatars in or from India which exert more attraction nowadays (egs. the ‘hugging mother’, Ravi Shankar, Bala Sai Baba, Kalki Avatar, Kripalu Maharaj and even sex-exposed Swami Nityananda… to name but a few). Without the person, there is little or no fascination at all for non-Hindus, with the possible exception of more “backward” and less affluent Russians, Poles, Indonesians, etc.

The Sai organization website at is strapped for real news that would attract visitors, but they point out that “The Venezuelan Government has issued a proclamation extolling Swami as a great soul of India, a Mahatma. The Venezuelan statement refers to “ON OCCASION OF THE PHYSICAL DISAPPEARANCE OF THE SPIRITUAL LEADER OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA, SATHYA SAI BABA” The physical “disappearance” indeed, – and under extremely questionable and totally secret circumstances. In any country where the rule of law and human rights counts for much, the illness and death of Sathya Sai Baba would have been investigated thoroughly or else there would have been a public outcry of dimensions! Not so in India, where even his ‘ordinary’ devotees cannot have a say in anything. So much for Indian democracy and law in action!  Among other ‘considerations’ – the Venezuelan declaration also states, CONSIDERING THAT There exist excellent spiritual, cultural, commercial, technological, and diplomatic relations between the people and governments of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of India.” This may seem rather surprising to outsiders, but some top political figures in Venezuela visited Sathya Sai Baba in the past and were ‘captivated’ by him. The declaration is obviously made by a mere handful of those who are in power, and does not represent the opinions of many people there, of course. That there is a strong element of politics in the declaration is likely – even appeasement of all those prominent power-brokers in India who set so much store by Sai Baba and try to promote him to foreign governments and the U.N. (but with extremely limited success).

Hans de Kraker: telling comments on Sai Baba on The Telegraph obituary

Posted by robertpriddy on May 29, 2011

The obituary of Sathya Sai Baba in The Telegraph (London) received a large number of comments. As to be expected, many were from anonymous Sathya Sai Baba followers, criticizing the Telegraph or critics of Sai Baba, often in quite primitive terms.

From The Telegraph – comments on Sai Baba obituary

The same old hackneyed ignorance of devotees about the extent and nature of the testimonial evidence and sworn, witnessed statements or affidavits against Sathya Sai Baba were trundled forth. A most civil but outspoken critic of Sathya Sai Baba who tells how he was subjected to sexual molestation by Sathya Sai Baba answered a critic who said it was easy to sit behind a screen and tarnish someone’s name (though he did exactly that himself). Hans de Kraker, who has long since made public his account of Sathya Sai Baba’s sexual advances, replied… using his photo and first name (as seen on the right here) and his full posting was as follows:-

Hi Moijejoue, it is hard for you to make a claim about my ignorance when you have never met me and can hence only create an opinion based on evidence you have access to.
To this extent I went out of my way to sign an affidavit – legally binding – witnessed by a Justice of Peace. It is also easy to sit behind a computer and judge – dismiss other peoples experiences as invalid or lies.
It was for me a huge challenge and disappointment to be confronted with the sexual requests from Sai Baba. They were a shock. What was even harder was being thrown out at that point – without explanation. I was not someone who had just walked of the road in Prashanti – I had invested my soul, feelings and emotions and money like many others – and do not regret any of this. When this occurred, I was part of management at the ashram and Director of the Western Canteen in Prashanti. I was there because I had accepted the personal invitation of Sai Baba to re-open the Western Canteen which had been closed.
The reason why I am mentioning this is because I was a devotee once, just like you maybe and got to the same point because I shared the same values as you did. I got to this point in the ashram not from one day to the other – this was a journey with a lot of monitoring and vetting from ashram management. Today I still have no issues with the teachings and the books that can be bought in the Prashanti bookstore. The books mastered and edited by Kasturi etc hold valuable information.
My issue is that Sai Baba took advantage for personal gratification and the type of gratification he condemned – and not in a transparent manner. So remember that some of these ex-devotees you are casting judgment on – started following Sai Baba because they share your same values – just not those of the master – who fell prey to his own human flaws – as we all may do from time to time.

Hans de Kraker continued in a second posting:-

A moment of reflection for ex-devotees and devotees alike. The passing of Sai Baba shows both ex-devotees and devotees that Sai Baba was only a human being with strengths and flaws. I had firs hand experiences. He prophesied that he would live till 96 and again – has not met his own claims. He advocated a life without sex – whilst indulging secretly. He did not walk the path he advocated and was not true to his own teachings. There is no bad that comes without good and surely he built hospitals and schools and supplied villages with water. However these goods do not justify the bad – some of them – abuse of position, authority for his personal sexual gratification.

So another failed prophecy – his own – he would turn 96. I bet that most current devotees will come up with an excuse that explains why he still is God Incarnate. I have spoken to doctors with university degrees, even the late Dr Mario Mazzoleni, they all chose to shoot the messenger in an ultimate effort not to accept reality and keep their own ‘dream alive’. Instead of listening to people who were suffering trauma of sexual abuse – they chose to attack them – adding insult to injury.

The attempt on Sai Baba’s live in 1993 was another extreme example of what people are willing to do for their faith – die and kill. I was there in the mandir 1993 – it was a riot and frenzy of violence – the rifle shots and executions were chilling experiences. It is definitely a moment of sadness for both sides of the fence – but probably both for very different reasons. Humanity is coming to terms with itself every day, what faith means and how far you will go. We are tested every day – across the globe. This is just another case of humanity coming to terms with itself.

A Sai Baba devotee, Dr. O. P. Sudrania,  replied at length but it was largely empty of substance. He did, however write to Hans:-
“You are perfectly entitled to your opinions – right or wrong, it is your responsibility but others have their own mind and yardsticks to evaluate you. Onething that amazes me is, “How come so many people from far away lands has been befooled by this young boy from His teens to attract to this Hamlet without some clout”? I have met personally a few of them. Why only two persons (males) have been abused by Him, as you quote, whereas hoards of people have been visiting Him without any change must be another point to verify? That includes females from all over the world of various ages and I have interacted with a good number of them myself.

While I accept your argument of personal experience, I can not satisfy myself on a scores of other reasons that defy my personal acumen or reasoning. I have nothing more to say except that please keep going in your own way till you have satisfied yourself and your mind.”

Dr. Sudrania is so ill-informed as to imagine that there were only two males have been abused by him (i.e. “Him”) – he evidently can’t or won’t read the scores of testimonies that have been on the Internet for a decade already! As it turned out this doctor-in-deep-denial had reams more of comments to write! One can still read it all on The Telegraph if one wishes, but it is full of irrelevancies and the kind of egoistic ‘humility’ that is a hallmark of many Sai followers, so there is nothing in it whatever that can shake the testimony of Hans de Kraker. Nevertheless, Hans replied in his balanced and respectful manner…

There came more cocksure and badly ill-informed challenges by Dr. O.P. Sudrania (especially about whether Hans was present at the 1993 murder scene – but also on the likelihood of a legal challenge being allowed in India, where Premanand’s petitions to several courts were delayed for over a decade and never came before a magistrate! Sudrani’s hypocritical , including the following:-

“You could have filed a legal notice against Baba and I am aware of at least two legal battles against his organisation. No one would have prevented you from doing so in India in stead of involving UN or any other outside agency.
Regarding your allegations on the shooting incidence, I am sure you were not present in the Ashram nor have you tried to verify the cause. The incidence has not been on his life and if so, then what prevented the assassins to kill Him?
They (enough in number to overpower Him) were in the room with Him with the lethal weapons, for a good time enough to kill Him but they “could not or did not”. I am not sure if you have tried to fully enlighten yourself. I assert with all my regards to you.”

Hi Dr Sudrania, I did not file a legal case against Sai Baba as I was a consenting adult. If you are referring to the fact that homosexuality in India is illegal – I believe sexual preference is a personal matter and think it is a right – so would not seek any such claims against him. I was shocked, unprepared and did not appreciate Sai Baba’s advances or requests – but never thought to take legal steps other than libel against other aggressive devotees and SSB organization members.

The reason I joined a submission to the UN with signed affidavits was because the UN were scheduling a conference or part thereof on Education of Human Values and my personal experience and alleged others meant I was now compelled to make my experience available to others so they could be forewarned and draw their own conclusions. I chose a sworn affidavit to substantiate my claim – a legally binding statement. As far as the shooting incident is concerned – I was there in 1993 in the ashram. Not just in the ashram, we had been called to come and assist getting intruders out of the ashram – intruders with the intent to kill Sai Baba. An italian friend, part of the group I travelled to India with from italy, was a karate trainer at Prashanti and Whitefield. He was a black belt third dan and he and I would hold classes. My Italian friend had been appointed personally by Sai Baba. So when the intruders attacked the mandir, some ashram staff approached us. We rushed and ran to the mandir. It was a terrible sight. An inch of blood in the interview room – blood and dead bodies dragged over the floor. There was a rioting crowd of about 500 people with home made arms, knifes etc, ready to lynch the intruders. My Italian friend and I climbed onto the facade of the mandir, hellbent to save Sai Baba. When we got onto the balcony, people were fighting with each other – arguing and it was not clear who was who.

This is where intruders could take advantage of the confusion by mingling with the crowd – as the intruders were deemed to be ex-students/staff – unknown at that point who was who. I decided to charge down a dark spiral staircase – when my Italian friend pulled me back – telling me I was a fool for attempting. And I was of course – but we were ready to protect Sai Baba as others had done moments before – attempting to neutralize the intruders. My friend started wrapping a towel he had found on the balcony around his arm – to protect against knifes but then made the call it was too dangerous to go in the small corridors without light and proper protection. Police started to arrive with rifles and we climbed back down as things were getting seriously out of hand. There were about 1000 people now. Police had their rifles pointed at the exits. The night next captured the chilling sounds of screaming people, arguments for about 15/30 minutes – followed by chilling rifle shots – the intruders had been shot. There were discussions about the process, execution vs trial – circumstances etc It was a terrible experience. So yes – I was there.

I know of 1 dozen of males that were touched by Sai Baba and that received invitations – but know for a fact that it happened to me and know of someone who travelled with our group that had succumbed to Sai Baba’s request. There are others that have signed affidavits with similar claims to mine – but can speak as a matter of fact of my experience. It was a public secret that Sai Baba touched men and on some occasions asked favors. I asked senior hospital staff for advice, a doctor from an Australia hospital, doing Seva in Parthi as well as some other ashram management staff. They were shocked but went on to say that I should remember that he is God. Some even said that someone who had accepted Sai Baba’s request was cured from Cancer. I had no ilness nor Cancer!
Shortly after me sharing my experience with these people, I was called in by the then Secretary, Chirangivi Rao and Mr Chakravarti – was told I had been expelled. I was not allowed to ask why – was only allowed to leave and only come back until I had written permission from the ashram secretary.

Upon my return to Australia I visited Sri Ramanathan – the then president of the SSB Organisation for Australia and Papoea New Guinea. I shared my experience and he stated: “That experience was for you and is your experience – but it is not mine.” He was courteous and philosophical – unlike many others in the organization. His comments did not really give me any comfort – but he was respectful and mindful. It was hard and took years to give it a place. Moments like this revive parts of that past and 5 years in India.
Cheers, Hans

Dr. O.P. Sudrania, who is a retired surgeon and a defender of yoga philosophy and other unscientific Indian traditions, went on an on with the blatant hypocrisy “My loving regards to you” while doing his utmost to cast further doubt and confusion about the facts by all manner of irrelevant means on the integrity of Hans de Kraker. This kind of behaviour is well-known particularly among Sathya Sai followers who are under an obligations to “Speak sweetly and softly” and never to criticize others from their Lord and Master. Hans de Kraker posted a good deal more himself, all of which is well worth study.  (

Dr. Sudrania is a cantankerous and ill-informed defender of the indefensible because he cannot examine his own belief in the alleged ‘miraculous divine nature’ of Sai Baba. He charged critics of Sathya Sai Baba with a ‘malicious campaign’, but since the illicit hoard of wealth and property Sai Baba left in his rooms and the criminal shenanigans of the Sathya Sai Central Trust, he has not been vociferous! It wuill take him some time and effort to rationalize all that! See the following explanation he received (gracelessly) from Hans de Kraker, the Australian who spoke out about sexual molestation by Sai Baba (first in 2000). Dr. Sudrania questioned him relentlessly in a smarmy, false humble, hypocritical manner.  in the interest of truth and protecting those still vulnerable to his abuses:-

Sathya Sai Baba physical death prediction on

Posted by robertpriddy on May 28, 2011

See chakranews: dirty tricks campaign – deleting comments selectively:

Posting on comments falsely posted under the name 'Robert Priddy' and not removed by them. Part of a campaign of web trickery by the webmasters of that website or by person hiding as Arjun, perhaps?

The Hindu website has an article defending the (wholly fallacious) notion that Sathya Sai Baba’s prediction of when he would die is fulfilled. They invited postings and I provided reasonable but critical comments, never using invective (as so many there do). I found a posting which I had not made, masquerading under my name (Robert Priddy). When I pointed this out, chakranews, com soon began to remove my postings… but selectively. They deleted the most important postings with facts and explanations, retaining almost only those which were replies to my attackers. This presented me in a less that true and quite selectively distorted light. Therefore I am posting her scans of some of the postings they removed or disallowed, before blocking me from making any postings at all.

The crux of the issue of Sai Baba’s predicted death:  The argument given was that Sai Baba calculated his age in lunar years (going by one if the several version of the Hindu calendar). I contested this with accurate calculations to show that, even if he HAD reckoned in terms of lunar years, no calculation would fit his predictions. He made two different predictions – that he would live to age 93 and also to age 96. That is in itself enough to awaken severe doubt about his prescience, not to mention his memory of what he had

Criticism of the lunar year adherents was very hotly protested by devotees of Sai Baba – who evidently could not face facts, but rather invest in blind faith in Sai Baba and ignore all ‘worldly facts’. Moreover, their defense mostly took the form of rants against my person. This is the resort of all those who do not have a case – attack the man, not the subject… shoot the messenger etc. The motivations for them to do so are diverse but some are obvious. The fully signed-up believer who has become a known believer in Sai Baba has a strong reluctance to backtrack, because Sai Baba always insisted that EVERYTHING he said or did was infallible. If you doubt one thing, you are no longer ‘one of the blessed’. Those devotees who fondly look forward to the possible liberation of eternal nirvana after death – as Sai Baba promised could be for good devotees – have continued to indoctrinate themselves with all the bells and whistles of Sai Baba’s super-eclectic hodge-podge of Hindu scriptures, philosophies spiced up with Jesus and a small touch of Buddha. They cannot countenance any criticism of him, for their hopes are threatened and their mental-emotional crutches less reliable if so.

The ashram and other ‘authorities’ around Sathya Sai Baba have also other concerns… keep the myth going so as to keep the finances from donors rolling in. The failed prediction which devotees had set in stone and put all their reliance on is not conducive to keeping everyone securely within the fold and even less attractive to potential newcomers. Something drastic had to be done… ergo the ‘lunar year’ theory in various shapes and forms… not one of which stands up to simple arithmetic!

Untrustworthy Chakra website: Some my postings were deleted by the webmaster of AFTER having accepted them earlier are found at removed material and allowed unfair practice. Comments relating to my deleted postings were NOT removed. This is simply illegal web practice and reflects badly on the chakra website. I am also informed by another who posted there in defense of me, that another reasonable comment by him defending my reputation was denied, which shows that chakranews have a strong pro-Sai Baba agenda and support defamation of critics without right of reply. I was sent a screen capture of this:- unfair discrimination of reasonable comments

Prashanthi Nilayam and environs struggle to attract visitors

Posted by robertpriddy on May 27, 2011

IBNLive reports:-
The Sathya Sai Central Trust hope to attract visitors again by installing a ‘mahasamadhi’. The demise of Sri Sathya Sai Baba is an irreparable loss to Puttaparthi, which used to attract a large number of devotees from all parts of the country and abroad when Baba was alive. The volume of business activity in the pilgrim town has come down after the demise of Sathya Sai Baba. The number of foreign devotees visiting Puttaparti has also declined.  The real estate business is the worst affected as the value of land has slumped. The situation is likely to be changed after the construction of Mahasamadhi.
The Central Trust which faced several allegations after the demise of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, is striving to win the faith of devotees by proving that all the charges made against it are baseless.

They would, wouldn’t they! Trouble is, once one had begun to cover-up and deceive, it becomes harder and harder as more and more deceptions and lies are spun to justify the earlier ones… the whole thing has already become a huge network of propaganda, disinformation, secrecy and cover-up of all corruption, embezzlement and other untoward and crimes. This has been documented on a large scale already here, and by Barry Pittard, and many others.

Sathya Sai Baba reckoned in calendar years, not ‘lunar years’

Posted by robertpriddy on May 27, 2011

In attempts to save Sathya Sai Baba’s death prediction from ridicule, the Sathya Sai authorities have been claiming that he reckoned his age in lunar years, not calendar years. However, Sathya Sai Baba certainly reckoned in calendar years, which is evident from the following quotes from his published discourses. One can speak meaningfully of lunar months, as shorter than calendar months… but not strictly meaningfully of a ‘lunar year’ because a year is a measure of the time the earth (with its moon) takes to circle the sun. The year cannot be affected by lunar cycles in any way… but Indian shastris like to operate with ‘lunar years’. These have to be corrected every 6 years by the addition of an extra month (to bring the lunar year into some correspondence with the true solar year. The matter is involved, so ordinary devotees, such as Indian villagers or illiterate persons, easily get confused by the arithmetic and prefer to accept what they wish to believe anyhow.

There are no published discourses anywhere where he used any system of calculation based on ‘lunar’ months or years. (Despite this, some claimed that what he said at his 80’th birthday that he was 90 year of age that day supports their ‘lunar’ theory. It is not verifiable in print anywhere. The following quotes are self-explanatory:-

“I will be in this mortal form for 59 years more and I shall certainly achieve the purpose of this avatar, do not doubt it.” (Discourse 29.09.1960) [1960 + 59 = 2019]

” I shall be in this body for 58 years more, I have assured you of this already.” (Discourse 21.10.1961) [1961 + 58 = 2019]

“As the world goes, at the age of 60, the physique becomes weak and the mind loses its alertness. But I skip along as fresh and active as ever.” (Discourse 23.11.1985) [1985 – 1926 = 59]

” The advent (of this avatar) took place 64 years ago.” (Discourse 23.11.1990) [1990 – 1926 = 64]

“This body is now 67 years.” (Discourse 3.07.1993) [1993 – 1926 = 67]

“The body (of Swami) will enter its 70th year on 23rd.” (Discourse 17.11.1995) [1995 – 1926 = 69]

“I am 73 years. My legs, hands, eyes are in perfect condition.” (Discourse 24.11.1998) [1998 – 1926 = 72]

“Today marks the 75th year of the Advent of this body.” (Discourse 23.11.2000) [2000 – 1926 = 74]

On 25.12.1979, Sathya Sai Baba said of Jesus that “he was born at 3-15 a.m. (early morning) on December 28, 1980 years ago” (Sathya Sai Speaks, Vol.24, p.288)
All the above quotes involve only calendar year reckoning.

As officially reported, Sathya Sai Baba passed away on 24th April 2011. [2011 – 1926 = 85] Note that none of the various fanciful calculations of the number of “lunar years” that have been presented can produce a result that concurs with either of Sai Baba’s two entirely different predictions of when he would die. The concept of a ‘lunar year’ was challenged as invalid by a devotee! Thank goodness there are some clear-headed and honest ones among them. However, some Hindu calendars do operate with the idea of a lunar year, though it is obscure and Sai Baba has never said he spoke in terms of lunar years. Had he done so he should have celebrated his birthdays on entirely different dates. His 85th birthday would then have been somewhere around 94, but he never did that once.

Several analyses proving this are found here:-

Sathya Sai Baba’s lunar age 96

Controversy on Sathya Sai Baba’s suspicious death

A person calling himself Dhanashen (another ever-anonymous Sai Baba poster who attacks me) made a long posting on part of which I include here because it shows the very weak and inconclusive hints he and other supporters of the unworkable lunar year calculation consider definitive proof.

The cited passage simply refers to the use of the standard world calendar rather than ‘the’ Hindu calendar. The Hindu calendar has undergone many changes since its beginnings and there are several versions of it. No version of it allows a calculation that amount to either 92 or 96 years, as has been shown well enough in the above links.

Point 2) is yet most obscurely made. “The Lord of 1000 moons” has been cited by Dhanashen (alone) since the calendar issue arose… but has never been recorded in any media before. Until otherwise proven, I consider it a contrivance to try to confuse people into thinking that Sathya Sai Baba – who never mentions 1000 moons in his published discourses –  was somehow referring to the lunar calendar when he said he would live 59 years more. It simply does not fit however one twists and turns it! One can only conclude that those who continue to claim that SSB lived for 96 years (or 92 years) remain in denial of everything that has been proven that is negative for Sai Baba. They have put all their faith, hopes of divine assistance, even their personal prestige (and who knows what else, money, position, ashram privileges, work, businesses…?) into Sai Baba being not just a God, but the Godhead Incarnate… and now comes the crisis, the ‘last straw’ – he died weeping for help and did not fulfil his predictions of how long he’d live. Not to mention all the other prophesies that have already failed;-

Former Minister accuses Sri Sathya Sai trust members for the death of Sathya Sai Baba

Posted by robertpriddy on May 26, 2011

A former student and non-follower of Sai Baba at the Sathya Sai College has kindly translated the Telugu news item I mentioned yesterday. G. Nagi Reddy of the Telugu Desam Party was a Minister for Andhra Pradesh, elected in1985 and lastly in 1989.

Former minister G Nagi Reddy alleged that trust members are responsible for the death of Puttaparthi Sai Baba. By subjecting him to mental torture, the trust members caused his death he alleged. He said it is the responsibility of trust members to dispel the doubts surrounding Sai Baba’s death. He claimed to have been informed by a few trust members that around the time he was being transferred to the super specialty hospital on March 28th, a tearful Baba had begged devotees to save him.

Mr Nagi Reddy alleged that before admitting Baba to the hospital, trust members subjected him to cruelty by not feeding him properly. He said that under the freedom of information act he had filed a request to the trust to provide him details about Sai Baba’s hospital admission register, case sheet, and details of treatment administered to him. He said that he would go to court if the information was not provided to him.  (The original Telugu text was posted at

The text of an article printed in two on-line news outlets

There is all reason for this allegation, as anyone who followed the news reports that were (and still are) found on this blog – as widely disseminated in the Indian press – will know to be substantial. One has to say that Sathya Sai Baba – whatever his earlier crimes – did not deserve the reported ill-treatment  he received. It is horrible that any person should be denied what all are entitled to when seriously ill or dying. To take an example, the Central Trust was seriously discussing at one stage to bury Sathya Sai Baba alive! Yes, all foreigners – and surely the great majority of Indians too – would be appalled at this, whether it has ever had any precedent in Indian convoluted and mythologized ‘spiritual’ history or not. What they eventually decided is in the greatest doubt as they practice the silence of the grave about all that happened during SB’s confinement, loss of organ functions, loss of consciousness and loss of life. The unaccountable totally non-transparent Trust is surely among the most untrustworthy institutions in India, and that is saying a very great deal!

The demise of Sathya Sai Baba explodes myth of invulnerability According to diverse reports from devotees and more independent sources, Sai Baba became the helpless victim of manipulators on the Sathya Sai Central Trust – and presumably also his chosen minder, his ‘boyfriend’ Sathyajit (who it was widely claimed had virtually drugged him down for months with sleeping pills and stimulants respectively). He had himself chosen the very Trust members who contravened his will when he became incapacitated! The non-indoctrinated world and history would never accept that anyone possessing any measure of common sense and honesty still hold that Sai Baba was the omnipotent and omniscient being he always loudly claimed he was, as in the following documented statements:-

My power is immeasurable; My truth inexplicable, unfathomable” (Sathya Sai Baba Discourse 19-6-1974. p. 227 Sathya Sai Speaks Vol. 12)”There is no one who can change My course or affect My conduct to the slightest extent. I am the Master over all” (Discourse (28 September 1960). Sathya Sai Speaks Vol. I, p. 182)”I know all that happens to all because I am everyone. This current is in every bulb I illumine every consciousness. I am the inner motivator in each one of you” (Speech at Patel Stadium in Bombay – reported in Sathyam, Sivam, Sundaram by N. Kasturi. Part 3. Page 305 US ed.)”Be assured that the Lord has come to save world from calamity” (Sathya Sai Speaks Vol. 2, p. 17 – March 1961)

My Power is eternal, all-pervasive, ever-dominant” (Christmas Day Discourse, Bombay 1970. (US ed. of Sathyam Sivam Sundaram Vol 3 page 136)

Controversy on Sathya Sai Baba’s suspicious death

Posted by robertpriddy on May 25, 2011

Many devotees are in total deniai - grasping for straws - angry too

An Indian news outlet recently posted the following: “Former Minister G Nagi Reddy accused Sri Sathya Sai trust members for the death of Sathya Sai Baba.”  If and when I receive a translation of the Telugu, it will be posted on this blog.
( All the information usually available to the public when a prominent person dies after so much controversy about his long illness with massive weight loss (only 30 kgs. at one stage – suggestive of AIDS),
circumstances surrounding his disconnection his life support, and much else – including the lack of a death certificate and a post mortem – all mean that the matter is not cleared up by any means.

NDTV, a major Indian Broadcasting Company, put this document (left) up on their website the day SB’s death was announced. It elicited the following comment by a trained Indian physician:
Soumitra Mukhopadhyaya NDTV 24-04-2011 “As a doctor I should point out that the cause of death mentioned (cardio-respiratory failure) is medico-legally unacceptable. The cause leading to cardio-respiratory failure needs to be clearly mentioned. The international death certificate does not accept cardio-respiratory failure as a valid cause of death.”

Not producing a death certificate is in strict violation of Andhra Pradesh State regulation, Indian law, and international rule.

Meanwhile, on The Telegraph, comments after their obituary article were many and interesting. Some excerpts appear below for the benefit of those who did not come across them.

Saissb Sai Believe and it will happen! Sai Baba is going to resurrect and you know it! The need for Sai Baba to come back to life in a few days is more than your personal need/non-need for Baba, The entire world will see that as Jesus returning and that can potentially change the world instantly. All the wars and suffering can stop in an instant. So pray selflessly and believe for Sai Baba’s resurrection!

The comments – some rather entertaining, some illumining – made by GLC_1 to SathyaSaiBaba (both of whose identities I unfortunately have no clue) were – despite the sarcastic invective – strongly supportive of my own main contentions:-

GLC_1 — Now the scoundrels in the Ashram Trust are saying he actually did live 96 years based on “lunar months”! Hahaha! No wonder they are all “loonies” – LOL!

Do they really think all Indians are fools and servile retards like them?

Complete nonsense! – 27.3 days is the draconic month for lunar nodes – even jyotishas like me with a rudimentary knowledge of Astronomy and Hindu Astrology laugh at the suggestion of imputing a “year” to it – why should you divide the total number of draconic lunar months by 12, then?

The very idea of dividing (or multiplying) by 12 to get at a year is a solar concept with respect to the earth’s orbit around the sun!

A lunar year is strictly 354.38 days, and always consists of synodic months (29.53 days) – full moon to full moon – it is the same calculation that has been used for thousands of years for Vedic Sacrifices like Darshapoornamaasa and Vajapayi – the lunar nodal month (or draconic) month of 27.2 days is seldom used because of the tilt of the moon’s orbit with respect to the ecliptic which progressively decreases due to precession.

Even with the greatest astronomical latitude (not literally), there is simply NO WAY the so-called “lunar years” (or more accurately, sidereal years) can be greater than 87 or 88, tops. Then they disingenuously claim that what is meant by 96 years is that Sathya Sai’s “birth star” of “Thiruvadurai” transited 96 times during 30,833 days – some scoundrels will also add the 9 months conception period, or approximately 270 extra days to it!

All total hogwash! Even a sidereal year with respect to the earth’s orbit around the fixed stars (or constellations) is 365.25 days. The Thiruvadurai constellation or Aardra Nakshatra (Betelgeuse Orion constellation) appears on average once every 27 days per the Vedic lunar constellation ecliptic, as a part of 27 Vedic lunar asterisms listed in the Yajur Veda Mantra Samhita portion, beginning with Krittika (or Pleiades constellation) . So it appears at least 12-13 times a year – how then can it then only have appeared for a grand total of 96 times in 31160 days? All delusional rants and defensive revisionism!

SathyaSaiBaba —

Alaya rahm, Mark Roche, Robert Priddy, Barry Pittard, Tal Brooke all are saying Truth.
So are all of positive devotees of Baba who consider him GOD, because he is GOD, the whole universe is GOD’s body and you are all GOD. GOD (Sai Baba) is not Positive only or Negative, he is none and both.

GCL_1 — Fine, if that is the nature of your rationalization, then our posts and our EGO is also God by your own definition – all the attacks on Sathya Sai Baba regarding sexual pedophilia are also GOD, and the links and posts I am providing below regarding well documented sexual abuse are also GOD!
Let us do our dharma and duty by God to expose this sham, and you do yours.…

Even with the extreme case of a Draconitic (node to node) lunar year, we arrive at 30,833 days that this pedophile fraudster lived, divided by 346.62, giving us 88.95 years. How the hell then can it be 96 years (forget the fact that Sathya Sai’s school birth records show a completely different birthdate of Oct 4th, 1929!, and the birthplace not in Puttaparthi, but in the adjoining village of Karnatak-Nagepalli!)?

Complete humbug! – no instance of such lunar month “calculation” is found in Vikrama or Shalivahana almanac of such convenient manipulations of dates! Shameless, spineless scoundrels – should all be beaten to within an inch of their hypocritical sham lives! They built a huge “Vedic Temple” for him to live in, and filled it with Vedic priests performing non-stop fire sacrifices to protect their pedophile sexual predator fraudster god from impending harm, and pompously named it “Yajur Mandir” (in an insult to the Vedas and those who actually perform proper Vedic sacrifices) – they also stupidly installed 9 Ganesha statues within to ward off illness, calamity, and the “evil eye” to their teacher – and what good did it do? Ultimately the power of the sacred chants from the Vedas itself killed him after putting him through suffering. As he himself had once said, “How can Light co-exist with Darkness; how can evil co-habit with the divine?” – Prophetic words indeed!

SathyaSaiBaba —

Exactly, you got it perfect! I believe i am being a solution to problems of the world and always been like that. I used to cry when thinking about all the suffering in the world and this is how i complete my part. You are also doing what you think is right, may your faith be with you and bring you success!

GCL_1 — Very well, let me try and put it another way. Unfortunately, it does not quite work the way you mentioned. If all was God, then there would be no need for effort or sadhana – humans would be indifferent by nature to pleasure and pain alike – there would be no conscious and determined pursuit of the Divine. It would all just be a stultifying entropy.

The fact is – we as humans, with all our frailties, DO feel the need and urge to approach, contact, be influenced, inspired, and molded by the Divine – there IS attraction towards the good, the virtuous, the Divinely powerful, the magnanimous, the noble, the compassionate, the restrained, the elevated, the plenary, and the sublime. This was the message of the pedophile and predatory sexual abuser who just died a while back – the message is faultless, but is not consistent with his own deeds and actions. Had he been open about his sexuality instead of hiding like an insect in the dark, no one would have cared.

Instead he willfully chose to enact an elaborate sham and sinful pretense that those around him were only too happy to perpetuate in their fear, obsequiousness, and need to believe. He broke trust – and, the consequences are there for all to see. His own Divinely appointed powers (and understand, I am being generous to consider the possibility he had any to begin with) abandoned him one by one, leaving behind an empty, fake shell, like the fake baubles he secretly began hiding and vibhuti that could no longer be manifested – the subtle body of Sathya Sai was riddled with contradictions and anomalies like Swiss cheese – his aura was completely besieged by the plaintive cries of those he systematically abused without any thought for their feelings – ultimately, the Divine Power in the form of the (higher) sookshma and kaarana shareeras that had attached itself to the Raju body abandoned it – it would have nothing more to do with the sthoola shareera, or to the manas, chit, buddhi, and ahamkara of the Raju body.

The end results are also there for all to see – a pathetic, senile, drooling degenerate cripple hauled to ICU and hooked up onto pacemakers, ventilators, and dialysis equipment like a circus freak – his own sins caught up with him – what a tragic denouement where his own prophecies could not be fulfilled on account of the mala (sin) accumulated in the Raju body – Ishwara spares none. Hans said he had Yoga Vasishta next to him – that is enough proof to me of his sincerity, directness, and spiritual worth. Sight-unseen I can accept his testimony as a Hindu and Indian who knows and has studied the shastras.

Sathya Sai Baba failed prophesy as the ‘great saviour of mankind’

Posted by robertpriddy on May 24, 2011

For years a sick man in a wheelchair, now a corpse.

The Sathya Sai Baba propaganda and misinformation machine continues to make much of a prophesy said to be found “In an ancient Arabic book by name “Mehdi Moud” in which the prophesies made by Prophet Mohammed were recorded many centuries ago, it was mentioned that God Himself would descend on earth in human form…” (quoted from website)

See what the saibaba of india web site states on-line… or read this excerpt:- “His hair will be profuse [etc. etc.. .]” and  ”He will live for 95 years on earth. In the last twenty years of His life time He will be the king of the whole world but at that time (A.D. 2000) only two-thirds of the world will believe Him. Muslims will only recognise Him nine years before His passing away from the world”.
We can all now see that this never came to pass – Sathya Sai Baba died April 24, 2011 aged 84 – either while in a coma or brain-dead after being disconnected from his life support system (by persons unknown, without death certificate etc.). As the world press (outside India) has pointed out, his death came at least 8 years earlier than his prophesy that he would die 59 years after 1961, and his other oft-quoted prophesy that he would die aged 96.

However, the said book is not known or shown to exist anywhere and the translation recognised by the Sai ashram (and quoted in the Chaitanya Jyothi Sai Baba Museum) is a faked translation of Persian prophetic texts as shown there!! Worse yet, the prophesy is ALREADY shown to be false, because Sathya Sai Baba has definitely NOT been recognised as “King of the World” since year 2000 and nobody except a lunatic believes that two-thirds of the world population believed in him from year 2000! The book was allegedly called ‘The Ocean of Light’ as found in a marketplace in the Middle East by the Inranian devotee known as ‘Irani Ma’.

The fake Mohammed prophesy is but one of at least a dozen false or baseless statements constantly propagated by official Sai Baba cadres, and his Sathya Sai Organization and numerous pro-Sai web sites. These include repeated claims of anything from 60 million to 600 million followers and of a regeneration project for 6000 villages in India from 1984, which was a total fiasco and was never realised. But still these falsehoods are repeated by those who should know better. Much more excessive claims are made by Sai Baba himself, of course (see Sai Baba Pronouncements on himself). Utterly ridiculous self-enhancing megalomania surpassing that of any other would-be God Almighty since history began!

In the days ahead, the whole world will be obliged to come to Prashanthi Nilayam (p. 320 Sanathana Sarathi December 1991)

Sathya Sai Baba’s bombast about the “whole world” being “obliged” to visit his ashram in Puttaparthi (i.e. because of himself) is obviously totally invalid. It is only correct to say that some individuals from most countries of the world have visited… and now the visitors from abroad have dropped off most considerably (the reasons being obvious). Besides, the white elephant and largely unusued Sathya Sai Airport cannot accommodate the whole world even were it to stand for 100 years… it has long been up for sale with sweetener inducements like free land for property development, but there were no buyers. Sathya Sai Baba cannot even buck the market, especially since he is dead and gone!  It was built at great expense to the Indian taxpayer in 1990 through the intervention of a Government official (Civil Aviation Secretary) and long-term Sai devotee, Mr. M.K. Kaw, was unused for years – then very little used (for visiting devotees). No SB is dead it is unsaleable.

Since UNESCO made their statement of withdrawal from association with Sai Baba and his ‘educational conference’ in and its reasons public, no United Nations organization has had anything to do with him, despite major and signally unsuccessful efforts by his representatives in the Indian government and among mega-rich and/or influential supporters in the USA (eg. Dr. Michael Goldstein, Dr. William Harvey etc.)

David Wolff on – groundless blather

Posted by robertpriddy on May 23, 2011

On, David Wolff, one of the American ‘true believers’ who had contact with Leela Press, Jack Scher (deceased) and Judy Warner has attacked me as a person (NOT my documented arguments and evidence, of course). I have been attacked by David Wolff before, and I have responded too (see here).

David Wolff, the vituperative empty-head

Clearly my reply to him has had a long-lasting smarting effect in that all David Wolff can produce now is invective which has no substance whatever. I have made no misstatements about Sai Baba, and Wolff couldn’t point to a single one. I am extremely wary of the semantics of my every sentence and have found very few errors – all of which I have corrected immediately when discovered. No one can prove that I have told a single untruth in any of my writings criticizing Sathya Sai Baba – and I challenge anyone to take legal action if they dare! I have a far more complete idea of Sathya Sai Baba than Wolff can realise, because he has long been programatically disallowed from thinking anything critical – anything that would reflect badly on ‘Swami’. He is a bad follower of Sai Baba’s teaching (“Always speak sweetly and softly” and “Never criticize others. Only criticize yourself” which is all rubbish teaching anyhow). Here one can sample his soul (see scan):-

Accusing me of obsessive-compulsive disorder and underlying paranoia is laughable to all those who know me. I have since student days had many and varied psychologist and psychiatrist friends as I have been involved in the debate about schizophrenia and other disorders in the early 1960s and thereafter. David Wolff shows his mental incompetence by making this scurrilous claim, which he could never support in the face of my medical factsheet. Wolff tells me I am an atheist for he thinks he knows myself better that I or my many friends. I am not exactly atheist in the full sense, I am a non-theist and a philosopher, so I never draw final conclusions on main metaphysical matters, however unlikely a proposition (like God is) may be.

Wolff would so like to take the high moral ground, but he remains grovelling in spite and attempts at character assassination. He give no documentation of any of his statements, which I do in very many case when I criticize Sathya Sai Baba. I am simply showing the hidden side – the bad side – of Sathya Sai Baba – often from his own words, confusions proven lies and widely reported negative actions (which no devote is allowed to think about, let alone mention!) As to Wolff’s blather about me “having no idea” who Sai Baba is… read my pro-Sai book, ‘Source of the Dream’. After 18 years devoted service, having come there, experienced and gotten deeply immersed, I emerged from the delusions as he proved to be sadly wanting in more and more ways… and a suspected criminal to boot!

It is not I who was ‘attention-seeking’ but Sathya Sai Baba, not I who am malevolent but Sai Baba (and those of his followers who attack me without sense or reason). I would have liked NOT to have felt the burden of having to tell what I, one of the very few, learned despite all I hoped and believed before. Many write to me for advice, succour, information, and other forms of help. Many more applaud what I and others are doing to bring out the truth no followers want to know! I receive a great deal of support for defending the weak and defenseless… also from those who are unable to get any kind of justice in India for the sexual abuses they have, I am convinced, suffered at the hands of Sai Baba. None of these would ever speak to a person like David Wolff… he comes across as intent on being nasty, as if his opinions could affect my happiness in the least. I present his vicious desires that I should die soon and his other brainless comments so that people may know what kind of people we are dealing with in the Sathya Sai Organization nowadays.

I have determination to not let Sathya Sai Baba get away unremarked, and I have succeeded beyond what I thought possible. (Churchill said re the truth “Never, never, never give up! – and my supporters agree and hope I shall continue until I am 100 years old, whether calendar or lunar! Nearly all respected news media have taken notice of our work – (that excludes most in India which are bought out by Sai Baba and his gang of politicians). Newspapers like The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The New Statesman and other such prestigious outlets (not forgetting the BBC on all fronts) have pointed out the likelihood of the sex allegations being true and the murder involvement of Sai Baba too, for they remark that Sai Baba had powerful political backers who could protect him from any legal proceeding (as they did in 2002 when Hari Sampath put his petition with many affidavits before the Supreme Court!

One can see how popular my blog is from the statistics around Sai Baba’s death – topping with 52,383 visitors in one single day alone, ca. 800,000 visitors so far. As to ‘plenty of negative feedback’ that Wolff says I get, he is referring to the anonymous attackers on Of course, plenty of Sai devotees are very keen on giving anonymous negative feedback in  general… they do not even practise what their Sai Baba preached!

Because of his spleen and hate, I then wrote a corrective e-mail to Mr. Wolff as follows:-

> —– Original Message —–
> From:
> Sent: 5/23/2011 3:47:26 PM
> Subject: be careful

Hello David Wolff,
I have now seen your postings on You ought to be ashamed… an adult writing such invective and drivel. Never mind, it all add grist to the mill, which will not stop. Your cheap jibe (Sai Baba-inspired?) with the death wish for me … well, you may die well before me, I have a family of 90 year olds behind me.
Now all can read my replies to you. and the same at
The more you post, the more your reasoning will get devastated… never fear, you just have not got the nous to express anything truly sensible as far as you have shown to date.

He told me by direct reply: “Fuck you, Bobby. Go to your room” (I have the entire e-mail source to prove it – with its massive pseudo-legal clauses and threats against disclosure, so he evidently didn’t want anyone to know what he really is like…). I have never been known as ‘Bobby’ for a start, so that strange try at familiarity fell flat. The ‘Go to your room’ bit is interesting, I can only think it is what his parents said to him a lot. And this businessman at High Point; North Carolina man calls himself a Sai devotee, well – there you go!

It is indicative of the low level of insight and intelligence of many of the posters on who cannot confront my reasoning but simply call me names and spread hateful lies about me (a junkie!) After my posting the above, David Wolff went beserk and posted several further vituperative attacks against me and repetitive inarticulate drivel which can be seen here
The pro-Hindu website has shown itself to use ‘dirty tricks’ against critics – it has posted statements allegedly by me under my name which I never wrote! Further, it posted a number of my comments, then removed them without warning, comment or reason. They also removed a comment by another person supportive of me which they had previously moderated and posted. That is ‘dirty tricks’ and shows the malpractice of at chakranews, com and that it is not advisable for serious persons to post there.

The following comments came to this site, as follows:-

A timely letter from Glen Meloy to Dr. Michael Goldstein

Posted by robertpriddy on May 23, 2011

Dr. Michael Goldstein bullies BBC reporter CLICK ON IMAGE TO READ MORE

Though it was a decade ago, the issue is still just as alive as ever… the total failure of a medical doctor to apply duty of care and mandatory reporting, and an aggressive and very nasty attack on the BBC presenter Tanya Datta in the film ‘The Secret Swami’ which he did not know was being recorded!  It showed his true face, just as Glen Meloy pointed out to him in this excellent letter! See Goldstein’s threatening rant here  Michael Goldstein in total denial about the sex allegations – and very nasty too!(1.50 MB) According to Indian newspapers, Goldstein is a Director of the Sathya Sai Central Trust. This must be the first non-Indian to get his place at the trough.

Dear Former Devotees and Supporters of Truth and Goodness,

I have just received a copy of the covering letter from a former devotee that was sent to all Sai Baba Centers in Zone I countries, ( includes USA, Israel, Canada, Southern Europe and the West Indies) by the Zone I Chairman and Central Coordinator, Dr. Michael G. Goldstein, M.D.
It was sent on his letterhead along with a copy of the Christmas Attack Discourse given by Sathya Sai Baba on December 25, 2000..

Michael G. Goldstein, M.D. 3070 Roycove Drive Covina, California 91724 U.S.A.

My comments to Dr. Goldstein follow his cover letter below –
Glen Meloy…

January 1, 2001
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Sai Baba Centers of
Zone I Countries,

Sai Ram to all of you! Enclosed you will find the Divine Discourse that Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba gave to the world in Whitefield this past Christmas. In His Divine Discourse He has resolved doubts, assuaged fear, provided reassurance, and, most importantly, imparted selfless love to everyone. As always, in His Divine Caring and Compassion for all of us, He knows what we need and when we need it. Then, when the time is right, with Love of the Divine Mother and Father of mankind, He gives us what we need. The time is right! I trust that all of us will study well this Divine Discourse and reaffirm our commitment to the spiritual path.

Center Presidents are requested to read Swami’s Discourse at your next center meeting and make copies available to all devotees.
With Love to all of my brothers and sisters,
Michael G. Goldstein, M.D.

Dear Dr. Goldstein,

As long as I can remember, you have been noted for your rather non-loving and unkind disposition with your so called brothers and sisters.

Your caustic and sometimes arrogant put down attitude was well known to most devotees and your Regional Officers and Coordinators, but the Devotees still tried to respect you because sai baba had somehow decreed that you were in charge.
Elsie Cowan and Jack Hislop and many others could not explain your unfriendly disposition and you were often compared to the other jackals and hyenas of baba’s ashram staff in India that are well known for their barking and angry non-loving attitudes, especially to Westerners.

Oh you put on a posture that everything was just sweet smelling roses, but the foul odor of your rotten personal conduct in the presence of your fellow officers and devotees often smelled of impatience and a complete lack of love. You and Indulal Shah were both intensely disliked by Elsie Cowan and there was many a morning in the book center when both of you were the topic of discussion as to how to create peace and harmony especially in the Southern California Region. At Elsie’s request, I tried to discuss it with you but you brushed me aside and told me to stay out of it.

Oh yes, I witnessed the same bad behavior with your brother Indulal Shah when he mercilessly bad-mouthed and lectured an Indian Devotee from Canada who was requesting his help to
release medical supplies from the customs port at Madras that his center had donated for the Super Specialty Hospital. I barely restrained myself from crying out and asking Indulal…”Where is the Love?”

And more recently, you refused to acknowledge or open a letter that had been written to you by the founder of the Eugene, Oregon Center and signed by over a hundred former devotees from all over the world concerning the serious criminal molestation allegations that you and the other so-called leaders have been covering up for many years. When all of us heard about your pious pronouncements to one of your former Regional Officers and a Father, whose son had been molested over 25 times, it just boggles the mind how you, a medical doctor, could be so callous and cruel to suggest to the Father that maybe his son was delusional.

You told him that ssb had told you baba was “pure” and that you were sticking with baba – all that after baba had for the first time publicly in front of thousands in the 1999 Christmas Discourse shot you with his “Golden Ego Arrows” stating what a good man you were and what a great devotee you were. (Do you remember your previous “Golden Arrow” comments at the Regional meeting in Southern California with Bob Bozzani??) And then you flew back to the US and hurled those insults to that devastated family.

Dr. Goldstein, you know very well if those molestations would have occurred here in the USA, you and your fellow conspirator officers would be in jail for failure to report. How you can sleep at nights and defend what most of us now believe to be the worst and most dangerous pedophile molester in the entire world is beyond belief. You once referred to the grief that the entire world felt at the death of Mother Teresa and Princess Diana and said Swami teaches us that there is darkness so that we may appreciate the light and love that they brought into the world.

Why don’t you apply that same thinking to the innocent boys and young men who brought their love to the one person they had been taught to believe from the time they were born was the very highest, only to discover that he is a fraud god who sexually rapes and molests them while claiming to be the God of Gods and Lord of the Universe. Oh Dr. Goldstein, how many lambs have been led to the slaughter because you and your fellow officers have NEVER WARNED THE MEMBERSHIP so that Mothers and Fathers could decide for themselves whether or not they wanted to put their children in harm’s way by going to India and praying for those coveted interviews behind the curtain and door of shame with sai baba. There will be a day of reckoning, Dr. Goldstein…….. and you and your swami will have to account to every devotee and their families and friends who have been physically, mentally, financially and spiritually raped. You once wrote that Love and Goodness Rule the Day…………I would like to add the word Truth to that.

When this fraud god calls all of us former devotees, Judases, in his unloving Christmas Message, your message above states……..As always, in His Divine Caring and Compassion for all of us, He knows what we need and when we need it.

Dr. Goldstein, we all know that sai baba has until recently frowned on the Internet, but even he has now apparently realized that he needs it to continue to spread his propaganda as evidenced by his new official site at

I have downloaded the official translation of his discourse, which some of the former devotees now refer to as discourse and offer you my comments. Please see below.

Isn’t this a lovely title? As we will see, baba accuses all of us former devotees as being a thousand ‘Judases’. Such a non- loving thought from a so called divine creator.

Sathya Sai Baba did have properties, but not ‘proper ties’

Posted by robertpriddy on May 22, 2011

“Swami said that nothing could happen to His Body and all these so-called ailments were only accidents. Swami then indicated to devotees that He had agreed to come down from the balcony due to the Love expressed by His students. Swami said that such noble boys were His only Property and He too loved them equally. Swami also said that the Gown that He had adorned was offered to Him lovingly by His Students. Swami explained the ease of use of the same and expressed His Joy at their loving care for Swami. He said that one could not find such service elsewhere.” Easweramma Day : Sai Showers in Trayee Brindavan Part II –
Posted by exbaba admin on Friday, May 07, contributed by saikramesh: (from entire major pro-Sai site since removed)

Sathya Sai Baba himself showed here yet again what he has always denied, that he accept goods from others! But that is glaringly obvious anyhow by all the riches he freely disposed over, not least the palace-like apartments he was ever getting built on donated funds for himself. The latest palaces were very costly twin buildings opposite his earlier-built twin apartments at the end of the Poornachandra Hall. However, he does not live in either of the two very costly museums he had built at Prashanthi Nilayam in his own honour for his self-advertisment.

Sai Baba has warned in discourses, “Properties are not proper ties“. So what about “His only Property”, the boys? Are they proper ties? Was he a slave-owner to speak of them as his ‘properties’. Well, we have already been told plenty in many testimonies about the kind of ‘service’ he got from boys and young men in the interview room, not to list all those who have slept in his bedroom, with ex-student Sathyajit as his last trusted boyfriend.

See? Having always claimed that he is the Lord himself, he speaks to his devotees like an Indian zamindar, prime exploiter of bonded labourers:-

“… every one of you is living off the property of God, for does not all this belong to Him? And what do you do in return for all the benefits you derive from the property of the Lord? You cannot eat it and sit quiet. You must at least give some physical labour in return; he who does not work but eats is a cheat.” Sathya Sai Speaks Vol.1, p.220f.
ALSO: The property of Sai is only all his students Sathya Sai Speaks Vol. 15, p. 179

This from one of the biggest (covert) property owners in India! (He said he did not own anything, but that was but a mere formality to confuse and avert criticism of his massive extravagance, despite his granting the use of other donations for social improvements. For example, he alone could use or dispose of about 10 luxury apartments built from devotees’ donations). It is known from close servitors and close ex-devotees that most ARE luxurious inside. I saw inside Muddenahalli Sai temple apartments myself (and met the architect), and he hardly ever even used them.

It is convenient for him that – as the self-proclaimed One God, “Deity of deities” who lays claim to own the entire created Universe, lock stock and barrel! Cosseted, protected by armed guards and undercover agents, and having strolled about for constant adulation for decades, he did nothing remotely resembling what most people (and he too) know to be real work himself – that is the hard work of physical labour!
He told people he did everything for himself, even sweep his room out. This was simply not true. Here is some strong evidence documented back in 1973:-

But he most certainly eats well enough, but has not prepared or cooked for many decades. A former devotee friend of mine, Mr. V. Ramu, a vigilance officer of the Indian Administrative Service (author of the hagiographic book ‘Waiting for Baba’), who attended a luncheon given for Sai Baba in Bangalore in 1996 at the house of Central Trust member, Mr. Prasad, told me that Sai ate well. I was surprised and wondered if I had heard correctly. He assured me, “Swami ate heartily of all the many dishes provided, served to him by Mr. Prasad’s son.”
This is not a thing you will hear from others who never say anything that could cast the slightest doubt on ‘Swami’ as having been anything but a perfect renunciate, which was simply not true, neither as to food, pomp, acceptance of worship, outward show galore or his sexual satisfaction.

Dr. G. Venkataraman – top propagandist for Sai Baba

Posted by robertpriddy on May 21, 2011

Dr. G. Venkataraman writes in Part 4 of his 7-part series entitled “In Quest of Infinity” on his Radio Sai website “You know, when I think about it all, I am simply wonder struck. On one side of it is God who has created the Universe in which all these wonderful things happen. On the other side, there He is in human form in Parthi, going about as if He is not aware of any of the mysteries in the Universe” See here

This man is deeply involved in the Sathya Sai Central Trust and other bodies. Seeing he believes so totally that Sai Baba is the Creator of the Universe, he cannot but view himself as a person of extremely great consequence with a role of unprecedented importance for a ‘mere human’. Sai Baba gave him the role of a teacher and spiritual adviser, subsequently made him head of propaganda (Radio Sai and the official SSB website).Venkataraman is also Vice-president of the Prashanthi Council (which decides on all Sai-related matters apart from finances) and a Trustee of the Sathya Sai Central Trust. Yet as the chief propagator of God’s will and a person privileged more than even Saint Peter or Paul supposedly were he would feel he is in an invulnerable position! Yet more importantly, most people would agree, the backing of the Prime Minister, President and other Indian luminaries for Sathya Sai Baba put him virtually beyond the law, as it certainly did Sathya Sai Baba. But the law of life and death caught up with Sai Baba in April this year. Venkataraman is smart enough to appear as humble as he can, devotees cite ‘good luck’, meanwhile he writes pompous tracts (some plagiarized) as if he could explain away almost everything from the standpoint of the ‘divine wisdom’ he parrots). Yet he is not at all invulnerable to the criticism of those who have examined him, his fanatical beliefs and his doings closely and rationally. Such scrutiny shows him to be a major cover-up agent – another kind of left-hand man for Sai Baba.

When I met Venkataraman on two occasions together with V.K. Narasimhan, he lacked normal animation. I now know he grieved for a very long time over having lost his son (Sai Baba did not save him!) and been emotionally manipulated by Sai Baba with supposedly ‘divine’ reassurances, condolences and privileges. That he has achieved awards and praise from Indian bodies proud of the nuclear achievements made him an important figure for Sai Baba’s own reputation among some Indian scientists and elites.  He also tells what everyone knows anyhow, how scientists made the atomic bomb and states, “Overnight, scientists lost their innocence and became putty in the hands of those who had money to throw.” Well, G. Venkataraman is one of those very persons, for – like his more accomplished former colleague Dr. Bhagavantam – he worked for the Indian government on developing atomics which backed up India’s nuclear capacity! Now he is preaching against this… and he is one of the guilty!

The programmatic denial of widely known and testified sexual abuses: This is one of Venkataraman’s Achilles heels. Many Sai students were named by a former student who told how they – including himself – were sexually abused by Sathya Sai Baba.  Prof. G. Venkataraman denies that there is any substance in these accusations (which doubtless he had to, or else be thrown into the outer darkness). He has reported that he has spoken to some of them, who said they did not know their names were on the list. To a man who denies totally that Sai Baba is anything but the Creator of the Universe and is totally pure, what else would they say? At least one student has informed us that Venkataraman knows of the paedophile activities reported of his guru-god Sathya Sai Baba, so all student victims would certainly know that he would be a very dangerous person to confide in! However, one can see for oneself how many youth have come forward in public here. Further, as a trusted activists on the exposé work concerning Sathya Sai Baba and all his cover-up connections, numerous young men have contacted me and/or Barry Pittard in strict confidence stating that they were sexually abused by Sathya Sai Baba. (see example) Their accounts are often most revealing of details of his methods, and each has its unique stamp of authenticity. We have checked their identities in most instances, yet some are so worried about repercussions for themselves or members of their families (some of whom live in Prashanthi Nilayam or Puttaparthi) that they naturally were unwilling to give confirmable details about themselves. Knowing that four ex-students were murdered in cold-blood in Sai Baba’s apartment in 1993, this is probably a most wise precaution. Other reports – by Dr. Naresh Bhatia – a self-confessed sexual partner of Sathya Sai Baba – many, many boys have been misused by Sai Baba. Further, a former student has posted a list over 150 students through he collected from those who claimed to know they were abused by Sai Baba, and only a very tiny handful have (for whatever reasons) contested their names being on the list.

The convoluted misunderstandings and philosophical innocence of Sathya Sai Baba’s chief ‘scientific apologist’:
A retired physicist whose work went towards producing India’s nuclear devices, G. Venkataraman has tried to done the mantle of philosopher. He shows he lacks even elementary linguistic or philosophical analytical training and is ignorant of almost the entire comparative and critical world research efforts into the predominant global philosophies and theologies. His religious learning is narrow, being strongly and uncritically Hinduist. His agenda is definitely unscientific, for it is religious moralizing, as is clear from his words here: “Swami puts it all neatly and crisply. He says we must first have Love for God followed by a fear of sin. If these two are present, then Morality in Society would automatically follow.”

Venkataraman’s view of evolution is a particularly bankrupt version of ‘creationism’ and ‘intelligent design’. He claims that the scientific theory of evolution is wholly correct, but that Sai Baba (i.e. God the Creator) created the entire evolutionary process! By the same measure, one could say that – if there were a scientific proof that God did not exist, it would be God who put the proof into man’s mind! God cannot have existed before God was created, but who, how, when did that happen. The only answer people like Venkararaman usually give is that God was uncreated, exists eternally. This is just a play with words, for something never created can never have come into existence. It is like saying ‘time exists’ when time is merely a relativistically determined way of measuring, not an entity that can be objectively measured! This is the bewitchment of intelligence by language… a Wittgensteinian lesson that every philosopher worth his salt knows.

G. Venkataraman – Chief propagandist for ‘God’ G. Venkataraman is keen to imprint on his readers that, in studying anything about science, they are observing “The Glory of God”. This is, of course, an assumption and is not even a testable hypothesis, being a vague (undefined and indefinite) conception which is entirely non-operational.

Apologist for Sathya Sai Baba The only top Sai official who has ever even mentioned the many allegations against Sai Baba – and then only after a period of six years or more had gone by – is Dr. G. Venkataraman. He has shown his true colours, however, in having written a document full of cover-up and false statements

The most gullible physicist alive? Dr. G. Venkataraman writes in Part 4 of his 7-part series entitled “In Quest of Infinity” on his Radio Sai website “You know, when I think about it all, I am simply wonder struck. On one side of it is God who has created the Universe in which all these wonderful things happen.

Dr Venkataraman, a victim of emotional blackmail? One of the many former devotees with whom I correspond privately has commented to me that “Dr.G. Venkataraman lost all his scruples.” Also that he “had a harrowing experience when he lost his son and that is the main reason he is with Sathya Sai Baba who kind of gave him emotional support

G. Venkataraman’s out-dated and fallacious ideas

Indian Nuclear Scientist Now Sai Baba’s Global Radio Chief These days Sai Baba’s chief international propagandist (via Sai Global Harmony and WorldSpace International Satellite Radio Service) and deputy head of the immensely wealthy and influential world Sathya Sai Organization, Dr G. Venkataraman, was a top Indian nuclear scientist.

Sathya Sai Baba succession problem

Posted by robertpriddy on May 19, 2011

News: Earlier reports that the Sathya Sai Central Trust had decided to share the sub-chairmanship of the Trust on a rotating basis (The Chairman still being Sathya Sai Baba) have apparently not eased the doubts of many followers and no doubt many others whose livelihoods are one way or another involved in the outcome. See?The predominant feature of the Sathya Sai Central Trust remains its extreme secrecy and total unaccountability, besides the deluded – indeed preposterous – claim of one of its main players, ex-High Chief Justice P.N. Bhagwati, that Sathya Sai Baba has acted through himself to make his every single decision since he became a devotee, This farce continues, with Sathya Sai Baba continuing as the Chairman despite being dead and unresurrected despite all claims and wishful thinking. Live mint (see right) continues as follows:-

The passing of the mantle in institutions built around the charisma of one man or woman is never an easy process, as evidenced by the trials that beset the organization that used to be presided over by Osho (also known as Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh). At Puttaparthy, the initial two contenders were said to be the popular Satyajit, Baba’s caregiver and personal assistant, and R.J. Rathnakar, Baba’s nephew. Since only a trust member can be appointed chairman, Satyajit first needed to be inducted into the council in order to qualify. But any move in that direction was squelched by V. Srinivasan, a key trustee of the All India Sai Organizations, when he said: “We have no intentions to include him in the trust” as Satyajit was only a student of the Sathya Sai University chosen to become Baba’s caregiver, and “that is all his position is”.

Other names have since been mentioned: Chetana Raju, granddaughter of Baba’s older sister who runs the women’s welfare trust; P.N. Bhagwati (Bhagawati), the 90-year-old former chief justice of India. Rathnakar, a trust member and nephew of Baba confined to a wheelchair, stays in the running. The latest word is that one, or maybe even two of them, will be chosen at a trust meeting likely next week. Srinivasan refused to give anything away, asking: “Why do you people believe in speculation?”

Sudhir Kakar, psychoanalyst and author, who has written about the hold godmen have over Indians, explains what the passing of the guru means. “Once the godman (or woman) is gone, the magic is gone. Except for old timers, new visitors come to these ashrams just like another pilgrimage place,”he said. “It is a place where you were once in contact with divinity, but the spirit is gone.” Most organizations diminish after the guru goes, except for those with a strong institutional structure in place. Even so, “the best that they can hope for is that they can keep the memory and legacy of their guru secure”, Kakar said. Long-standing devotees say the organization is unimportant when the guru is alive, then becomes crucial once the guru dies. “Such organizations served only a perfunctory purpose while the guru lives,”said Rajat Narain, former IAS officer and additional general secretary of Shree Shree Anandamayee Sangha, headquartered in Haridwar. “They performed formal duties of clearing payments and things like that.”

To the believer, whatever will be, will be. “We are not worried,”said a Sri Sathya Sai Baba devotee who works in the ashram at Puttaparthy. “Whatever happens is the will of Sathya Sai Baba. If he wishes the ashram should prosper, it will. If he doesn’t, it won’t. And that’s the end of that.” (

Sathya Sai Organization’s creeping sickness within

Posted by robertpriddy on May 18, 2011

In 2010 the situation for Sathya Sai people in Russia was highlighted by the usual crises about imitators of Sathya Sai Baba and the problems with breakers of the Organization’s stringent censorship rules. That there are only 100 members (70% probably inactive!) in the huge city of Moscow tells its own story… and this was well before Sathya Sai Baba was known to have fallen seriously ill, been kept going with drugs before his internal organs collapsed and he took to his deathbed!

There are many signs that the initiated can read that a somewhat parallel kind of internal collapse is going on to some extent in Sai Centres all around the world, especially since Sai Baba’s ignominious death in an unconscious state by disconnection from his life support years before he predicted! None dare to air their grievances in public for those who leave the organization have all reason to expect harassment and those who remain fear exclusion from membership and all meetings… plus all the (insubstantial) promises of possible liberation, a better life after ‘rebirth’ and suchlike pipe dreams. Now that the Indian hotshots rule the roost, things can only get worse – especially for foreign devotees – and the non-transparency, authoritarian top-down treatment of members and unaccountability on donated money can only be expected to worsen

News about the Sathya Sai Organization Centre, Moscow

An annual members meeting took place recently on a  Sunday in Moscow Sai centre. One person who attended it posted some news on the Russian Sai Baba forum.

 (1) There are about 100 registered members of Moscow Sai Centre. Many of them have not attended the centre activities for a long time. That is why it is going to be a re-registration process to define active members. It is expected that about 30% will prove to be real members after all.

(2) Those office bearers who went to St Petersburg to see a false guru claiming Sai Baba speaks through him etc.,  in July despite an official warning in Sanathanana Sarathi in the May 2002 issue and repeated later in the same journal and in an  internal Sathya Sai Organization letter. They  lost their offices and Sai teachers and teacher instructors have been banned from teaching.

 (3) Ravi Shankar Polisetty (a former doctor in Sai general hospital in Puttaparthi who graduated from some medical institute in Belorussia) who is living in Moscow now is forbidden to deliver public speeches in the  Moscow Sai centre as he is not a member of the Organisation. He has had to stop his lectures on the Ramayana despite the fact that he is a very famous devotee. A special permission has been requested for him but still there has been no reply from the authorities.

 (4) The fire ritual (Arathi) has been completely stopped in the centre though it is very popular.

This news caused a lively discussion on the Russian Sai Baba forum. Many people expressed their disappointment in the SSO. The SSO Coordinator for Russia and Eastern Europe, Steen Piculell (read about him here!) attended the latest all-Russia Satsang. Piculell’s  attention was drawn to the fact that 4 persons have been chairpersons in Moscow Sai Centre since the time of its inception and none had attended the centre since. Steen answered that the Russian National coordinator had told him it was because of their personal problems. Of course, he knew well that the reason was in each case the discovery of the truth about Sathya Sai Baba! Steen  is a totally indoctrinated follower who lies freely in order to cover over all untoward events!

In view of this infinitiesimal branch of the cult in Moscow, it is strange indeed that the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to India, Mr. Alexander M. Kadakin, wrote a letter of condolence (only in English, no Russian version posted!) allegedly on behalf of “thousands of Russians” – but more likely posted because he liked Sai Baba and could misuse his position to support him, as is almost always the case in India and Russia.
