First and foremost, at least in law, Shri Sathya Sai Central Trust is a trust like any other – governed by the same rules, regulations, laws and by-laws of the land as any other Trust. There is no reason in law why the logic, rationale and reason that govern other Trusts – on why they should not receive unaccounted donations in cash or kind from anyone and everyone; why they should not accept such donations without the givers’ PAN; why they are accorded tax-exempt status for receiving monies; why the use of the gifts received by them are governed under various dos and don’ts and a horde of other checks and balances governing their receipt and use of donations – should not apply to the Sathya Sai Trust.
