‘The Guardian’ on Sathya Sai Baba’s life and demise
Posted by robertpriddy on January 9, 2012
The following account is probably close to what will become the average assessment of Sathya Sai Baba in future, excluding the still considerable, but shrinking, cultist following.
There is nothing that followers can do to counteract the criticism of their dead God, they cannot litigate for fear of the many adverse facts and sworn testimonies. Nonetheless, they have threatened to sue on several occasions,
against the BBC for broadcasting ‘The Secret Swami’ , against the Canadian Broadcasting, in Australia (against Barry Pittard), from India (against ex-baba.com), and in Denmark against the National Broadcaster,
but none have ever stepped up to the plate!
Nor can they get the ‘divine help’ they expect or hope for to change the situation. Do they not ever wonder why? I think so!
