Discredited fantasist Isaac Tigrett in India again

Posted by robertpriddy on October 29, 2014

tigrettagainIsaac Tigrett is a very curious self-contradictory mix of hard rock worldliness and so-called ‘spirituality’ of his Hindu guru-avatar.  He started beef burger joints, promoting them with the borrowed strictly vegetarian Sai Baba’s slogan ‘Love All, Serve All’, a cynical Western style commercialism (also disregarding the Hindu sanctity of cows). Here we see he is still in India, on a visit to Gurgaon near New Delhi, still promoting Hard Rock with its beef burgers, despite having sold out both morally and literally.

He tried his utmost to promote himself as Sai Baba’s spiritual mouthpiece after April 2011, claiming Sai Baba had entrusted him with the furtherance of the guru’s project to save the world. In slick and costly videos he presented plans for a huge super ‘spiritual ashram centre’ in the jungle of Coorg (South India) which he claimed he had worked on constantly with Sai Baba before all his vital organs conked out and he was disconnected from life support. The ashram was designed like a super eco-Auroville, promoting all manner of alternative spiritual and other healing prospects on a background of his various lunatic fringe theories (i.e. faked crystal skulls to save the world from doom, mystic descended master and what not…)

Having donated nearly $40 million for Sai Baba’s first hospital, Tigrett received much praise from Sai Baba (but not from any of the jealous minions of Prashanthi), upon the laurels of which Tigrett has rested ever since. However, there has been no mention of free or even cheap accommodation at his proposed ‘Mystic Inn of the Seventh Ray’, nor voluntary service or facilities for the poor of India because the entire project reeks of unmentioned commercial speculation, which always was Tigrett’s speciality.  However, no one knows anything about this Coorg project and it is rather apparent that Tigrett has had to forget about it due to lack of support, not only from the shakers and movers on the Sai Baba gravy train but from any of the rapidly dwindling foreign followers of Sai Baba who remain.  Curious indeed.

Sathya Sai (i.e. ‘master of truth’) buried facts and his secret acts

Posted by robertpriddy on October 15, 2014

Sathya Sai Baba held that facts have no significance beside the higher, divine truth, and so can safely be ignored, which he and his minions did when the facts were even slightly damning. The old doctrine of most religions, that ‘The Truth’ is ineffable and beyond all human knowledge – is itself a parody of all reasonable philosophical and radical ideas of truth. They all believe, in one way or another, that their imagined Truth (i.e. only indirectly available while alive) can only be realised by unification with God , at best after death, until when one must rely on what little God has (they suppose) revealed in the ancient scriptures of religions, or through saints, angels or other intermediaries. This is also where priests, swamis, bishops, evangelists and all those who live by – or profit from – religion get their feet in the figurative door.

Sai Baba cut out all those middlemen and proclaimed himself to be God the Creator (documented here) and everything that entails! He could thereby hide behind the mystery of Divinity and at the same time enforce the cover up of all facts negative to him and his activities in his ashrams.  His Sathya Sai Organization banned absolutely all non-positive thoughts and ideas concerning Sai Baba or anything connected to his fiefdom and institutions. Time and again, it appeared that, where Sai Baba was involved, no major incident at his ashrams or colleges and hospitals – or anything about his clandestine Central Trust – could be accessed except by determined investigation, careful digging and correlating information critically from as many reliable sources as possible. All those still connected in any way with Sai Baba developed a kind of brainwashing of a physically non-violent and hence very effective sort, particularly since the great majority of followers were in later years were at such a distance from Sai Baba and were kept suitably uninformed on purpose. The very effective cult of tight wraps on information about Sai Baba, about what he did when not visible at darshan, about his many failed minor and major plans, and the constant flow of indoctrination and misinformation, all misled all devotees into believing that things were just fine! The Sai Organization was made to distort actual matters and present half-truths, incomplete information and heavily slanted presentations as well as outright false propaganda.  They copy their swami’s avoidance behaviour, perpetuating the flow of indoctrination and misinformation. It is mostly also self-induced doctrine and self-sustained self-deception by those who are in denial about Sai Baba’s gigantic deceptions and wrongdoings as found documented through this blog site.

The converse of all this is growing disaffection among those who feel most suppressed by it, while the ‘outside world’ that happens to observe it independently of the required rigid assumptions, finding its questions unanswered.

All the diminishing clan whose prestige and hopes are still invested in Sai Baba, most even believe that his prophesies will be fulfilled, ignoring the fact that most of his prophesies referred to his own lifetime and have failed dismally.

One small example; a reborn Vivekananda would run his ashram after his death. The Sri Lankan, Nalin Sedera, was pointed out as this reincarnation in the 1980s by Sai Baba, but he soon rejected the claim and, of course, has nothing whatever to do with the current Prashanthi Nilayam. Devotees put their faith in that mockery of intelligence that their prematurely deceased ‘Godhead’ will be reborn as Prema Sai. A smart move by the self-appointed ‘poorna avatar‘ to ensure that no one living could claim to be his successor! Despite that, there are already claimants, and the future will almost certainly see any number of Prema Sai impostors… there are fortunes to be made.

Vishumenon – a most percipient writer on Indian matters

Posted by robertpriddy on October 12, 2014

If you wish to read a truly intelligent and also humorous perspective by a mature Indian commentator whose heart, wit and insight are all in the right place, then you will find it on Vishumenon’s blog.  Here is my review of some of his excellent writings:-

Firstly, I particularly enjoyed –  laughing a lot – at his account of a meeting at Hong Kong airport with a rather oriental eye-bulging chap who was determined to convert him into a relationship with the ‘ living God ‘ (who was coming as predicted in the Bible). With gentle but biting satire, too subtle for the fanatic to grasp, no doubt, Vishumenon drove his inquisitor round in comical circles. Highly recommended both for secular and seriocomical reasons! See How Supreme Court foiled my relationship with the Living God.

What first drew me to Vishumenon’s blogs was his blog about Sathya Sai Baba, Justice Bhagwati and Justice H.R. Khanna. I recommend reading it (click on the image of the right to go to the source). He rightly questions Bhagwati’s incredible admissions about following Sai Baba’s will in everything he did, including as former High Chief Justice… as communicated to him both verbally and through ‘paranormal guidance’. Not least, of course, the petition against Sathya Sai Baba by Hari Sampath was quashed by his judges and the subsequent destruction of the evidence that the Supreme Court session even existed would have been Sai Baba’s will!

As a political commentator, Vishumenon is spot on. His latest blog bemoans the fact that the new Nobel Peace prize laureate Palam Kalyanasundaram, though his huge self-sacrifices were known in India for decades, is still virtually ignored by  Indian politicians and power people (i.e. all those who still do almost nothing about child exploitation or strive to remove all the countless other horrendous ills in India). He received recognition from the Government of India as the best librarian in India ! Meanwhile, the United Nations named him One of the Most Outstanding People of the 20th century.

Vishumenon is no friend of Hindu Nationalists who want to establish Hindu Rashtra in India, to which Narendra Modi’s government is not unfavourable, judging by his past actions and present associations. Also Justice Anil R. Dave of the Supreme Court whose recipe for solving all India’s problems emerged when he said ” is Had I been the dictator of India, I would have introduced Gita and Mahabharata in Class I. That is the way you learn how to live life. I am sorry if somebody says I am secular or I am not secular.” So much for religious equality in India! As if the otherworldliness of the Mahabharata is relevant to solving the endless calamities of India today! (Besides which, Modi is no Krishna). One might as well try to solve the utterly complex and terrible Middle Eastern problems with the Bible!

COMMENT: Eileenweed said October 13,  “How Supreme Court foiled my relationship with the Living God.” Haha, thank you, a delightful read with several out-loud chuckles! It is like the airport Hare-Krishnas in reverse. Oh, if both parties would only get the irony!

Sai Baba failed mega-claims – a selection

Posted by robertpriddy on October 8, 2014

Self-proclaimed Avatar and ‘Saviour of mankind’ claims defeated by events

The quotes of Sathya Sai Baba’s words below demonstrate his immoderately exorbitant claims about himself, his ‘divine glory’ and power, his prophesies of what he would certainly achieve and the utter transformation of the world he would bring about, often even ‘in a few days’. These claims are only a part of his all-encompassing self-praise and unprecedented assertions about his avataric qualities and mission. The obvious fact that they were never fulfilled as claimed or predicted speaks volumes about the abuse of faith and fraudulence upon which he and his collusive cronies lived.

Swami Nityananda ‘propositions’ famous actress Nayantara

Posted by robertpriddy on October 7, 2014

nayantara The narcissistic sex guru has no shame whatsoever! Shamed and failed gurus (and their organisations) desperately clutching at straws to retain their fame and adoration. Good that this snub became public,  bravo for the actress for leaking it to the press, more should do that. Perhaps he told her he was impotent too, but was still willing to teach her perverse tantric sex for which he became known when the declaration he made candidates sign agreeing to his rules of confidentiality about it were leaked over a year ago!

How many other famous people has Nityananda tried to enrol is anyone’s guess. It is known that Sathya Sai Baba’s closest female devotee, former industry Minister Geetha Reddy,  procured invitations to hundreds often to visit Sai Baba and help fill out his empty darsan areas. No doubt many VIPs have still been invited to sb events after he died, though few appear to have heeded the call. When he was flying via Puttaparthi airport without intending to visit Sai Baba’s tomb, The President  of India, Pranab Mukerjee, was evidently importuned upon to call in at Prashanthi, which he did (probably fearing reactions from the Sai devotees in Government etc. if he did not). Sai Baba VIP officials try so hard to convince that Puttaparthi is still thriving.

Positive breakthrough in India: women priestesses

Posted by robertpriddy on October 6, 2014

Dalit-priestesses Breaking barriers: Two Dalit widow priestesses perform pooja at Kudroli! In a move to put an end to the practice of caste and gender inequality in temples. two Dalit widows are appointed priests at a temple in south-west India, in a rare move for a country where caste prejudice is still rife. This took place in Mangalore, Karnataka State, at Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara temple, which has witnessed the onset of several new traditions.
Dalits, once known as ‘untouchables’ and ‘Harijans’, and still very widely discriminated against with extreme prejudice in most of India, are a so-called ‘scheduled caste’. That women, which gender suffers huge inequalities in India, take on what is traditionally an entirely male preserve is also progressive. Further, widows were until recently universally treated by most of Indian society as virtual non-persons who had to drag out their lives in penurious and hopeless conditions.

While India already has far too many priests, gurus, countless wandering sadhus and ‘holy men and women’ – it is at least positive that this position is no longer the total preserve of males or higher castes.

India’s whole caste system should be abolished   According to a survey made some time ago by the International Movement Against All Forms of Discrimination and Racism (IMADR), in India, on an average two dalits are assaulted every hour, three dalit women are raped every day, two dalits are murdered and two dalit houses burnt down everyday.

Sathya Sai Baba fully defended India’s unjust caste system  THE CASTE SYSTEM OF INDIA – SATHYA SAI BABA, GANDHI, AMBEDKAR One of Sathya Sai Baba’s most bandied aphorisms stated: “There’s one caste, the caste of humanity“. That is fine, but why therefore does he support the Indian caste system?

Swami Nityananda continues to evade justice by trickery

Posted by robertpriddy on October 2, 2014

This is how modern-day ‘godmen’ act, they do anything possible to escape answering to their actions. Reminds me very much of Sathya Sai Baba and all he did behind the scenes to escape justice completely! The word ‘godmen’ has become loaded with suspicion when Indian media use it… savvy people usually just read ‘charlatan’. This obvious criminal, ‘Swami’ Nityananda, writhing snakelike to try to evade justice, but he only makes his dishonesty the more transparent all the time.

Nityananda complete disingenuousness has already been widely exposed by the media in numerous instances, as seen through recent years until the present here: (at
