I tell of the first I heard of the Sathya Sai Baba sexual abuse allegations by his students and later many others due to the defection of the close Sai devotee concert pianist and friend of the British Royal Family, David Bailey. I did not look at the allegations for a long period, but finally felt I had to as there was such a furore. I remained on the fence for many weeks while I contacted all manner of source, both defenders of Sai Baba and his accusers.
After two months, the verdict was that Sai Baba absolutely definitely was not innocent. I had already excused Sai Baba of involvement in the infamous 1993 executions of four intruder devotees in his rooms, but this changed my viewpoint and I began to research the murders too.

David Bailey’s own investigations were wide-ranging, such as discovering that Sai Baba gave fake objects SB supposedly ‘materialised’ – such as cheap paiste jewellry claimed by SB to be genuine diamonds. I tell how I got my ‘greed diamond’ assayed and found to be a very cheap synthetic sapphire.
