More Sathya Sai Organization propaganda on village regeneration

Posted by robertpriddy on October 21, 2011

Among recent events reported by SSB official news were the Grama Seva 2011 Project (28.09 – 5.10) See http://www.srisathyasai.org.in/Pages/Announcements/CTPressRelease03aOct2011.html http://www.srisathyasai.org.in/Pages/Announcements/CTPressRelease03aOct2011.html and Avatar Decalaration Day (20.10) http://www.saibabaofindia.com/20th-october-Avatar-Declaration-Day-Sri-Sathya-Sai-Baba.htm http://www.saibabaofindia.com/20th-october-Avatar-Declaration-Day-Sri-Sathya-Sai-Baba.htm.  These two events taken together lead to a question about the meaning of the Grama Seva Project.

As it was reported the Grama Seva as a project started in 2000, the most unfavourable year for Sathya Sai Baba’s reputation (‘The Findings’ by David Bailey and the failure of the so-called UNESCO conference due to their having withdrawn on account of the sex abuse allegations through direct reference to several of the accusers). In 2011 the Project covered 145 villages with about 350 000 houses in the areas around Puttaparthi, Bukkapatnam and Kottacheruvu (http://saiprema.wordpress.com/2011/09/21/prashanti-news-grama-seva-to-start-from-the-28th-sept-2011-christmas 2011/ http://saiprema.wordpress.com/2011/09/21/prashanti-news-grama-seva-to-start-from-the-28th-sept-2011-christmas-2011/). Volunteers distributed hundreds of thousands packs with rice, sweets and clothes. Of course the villagers were happy. But what is the deeper meaning of this service? What is a perspective for the villagers? 300 grams of rice and a dhoti once a year will not change radically their situation. Even if it has been done for 10 years. Apparently, there is even a special Trust for this project http://sathyasaigramasevatrust.org/inception.html” http://sathyasaigramasevatrust.org/inception.html. However, the latest reported activities are from 2006!

Many years ago it was claimed by Indulal Shah – backed up by the Sathya Sai Organization – that a project to regenerate 6000 Indian villages was underway. V.K. Narasimhan (one of the very few frequently outspoken persons very close to Sai Baba and in the know) informed me privately that the project petered out quickly after a large number of ‘delegates’ had been to the ashram for a few days of free lunches – it was in fact what Narasimhan called “a washout”, which ceased within the first year of its inception in 1985. This village project is still trumpeted as a divine success in Sai Organisation literature, information brochures and on web pages.  Details of this project can be read here

Shirdi Sai much more popular than Sathya Sai – statistics

Posted by robertpriddy on August 27, 2011

An interesting statistic was just sent to me. By comparing the search trends in the biggest Russian search engine (Yandex) for the searches for various spiritual icons or gurus, we see the relative unimportance of Sathya Sai Baba in Russia – far from what one would expect with a person who is claimed to have anything from 30 million to 600 million followers worldwide!

The data for a comparison between those searching for Shirdi Sai Baba and, alternatively, Sathya Sai Baba clearly show their divergence in popularity (this was on Google). Shirdi Sai is far more popular that Sathya Sai. (The increase in searches for Sathya Sai Baba earlier this year simply indicates interest in the death).

These data can be checked by using  http://www.google.com/insights/search/?hl=en-GB#q=sathya%20sai%20baba%2Cshirdi%20sai%20baba&date=1%2F2011%2012m&cmpt=q

More evidence piles up on male sex abuse by Sathya Sai Baba and teachers etc.

Posted by robertpriddy on August 18, 2011

My anonymous source, an ex-student who has written informing me of diverse events and names (some suppressed) at the Sathya Sai Colleges and ashrams, sent the following almost one year ago. It was yet another confirmation of the masses of independent testimony we who are involved in the exposé of Sathya Sai Baba have received in one way or another and have checked for authenticity as far as possible.
On 2 Sep 2010, at 01:22, t.t. wrote:

Hello Mr Priddy,

Thankfully, the Sai saga is now on it’s last legs with a wheel chair bound SB literally not having a leg to stand on. It is bad to speak ill of those who are suffering but in the case of SB, he is paying for his sins by suffering daily humiliation in a wheel chair with thousands as witness. Too often, sinners just leave the world abruptly enjoying comforts till the last second. SB is suffering right here on earth as he should. Of course, delusional SB devotees will argue that SB has taken up the suffering of some devotee and is going through physical pain on purpose to teach the world a lesson. In Hindu philosophy, they say that a devotee’s intense devotion can make up for the deficiencies in a Guru. That is 100% true for SB. He is blessed to have such faithful devotees and not the other way around.

I could write a book about the goings on in SB’s educational institutions but the following is a summarized recollection of my stay in SB’s educational institution.

Many of the students know the ugly truth. I was a student for only for several years but many have studied there for 15-18 years, starting from kindergarten. It is impossible for them to not know. By the time they complete their education, almost 100% of the students would have heard tales of SB’s abuse and fakery. There are some who continue to believe in SB deluding themselves that it is all Swami’s leela to test their devotion and that they must never abandon their faith. One thing the Sai cult is very good at is in brainwashing. It is all a big scam. Students in the institution fake devotion so that they can get free education and benefits. 3/4th of the students come from the lower middle class and they do whatever it takes to gain what they want. I was at Whitefield when the murders happened. Even then, I continued to have a positive outlook towards SB. I am not from a devotee family so I had never believed him to be God but I used to respect him for the social work activities he was doing.
Around the same time, a good friend and class mate of mine had become a “form boy”. Initially things seemed to be going well. He got a gold colored citizen watch, ring, etc from SB. But his behavior changed and he seemed unhappy. It was puzzling for the rest of us, because being close to SB is what everyone aspires for. And then he revealed that SB had abused him. He had grown up in a devotee family and this betrayal was even more painful for him. It was a shocking discovery for me.

There was another boy in the hostel who was very devoted and most sincere in doing seva activities. He was called for an interview and while he lifted up his head after doing paadanamaskar, SB shoved his organ into this boy’s mouth. When the boy went and complained about this to the warden, the warden scolded him saying “what nonsense are you talking”. So, the warden, the lecturers (many of them ex students themselves) everybody knew but pretended devotion! It is a disgusting, repulsive set up.

As for his miracles, I have never seen him do any materialization in a convincing fashion. Transferring objects – whether it’s a vibhuti ball, a ring or a chain from the left hand to the right and faking a materialization is his usual modus operandi. However, as you have said, he may be capable of hypnosis, transportation of objects through will power, etc. I suspect in his early days he may have practiced sorcery or some such dark art to influence and win over devotees. I myself never attended an interview but sat close to his seat in Trayee Brindavan many times when he held an audience with the students in the evenings. He distracts people’s attention when he switches objects from left hand to the right. Other students who have been to the interview room have reported seeing Vibhuti pellets, rings etc under the cushion. The so called oil materialization is done by crushing a vitamin oil capsule. With a couple of boys he did the genital switch trick, which lends credence to the rumor that he is a hermaphrodite.

“Form boys” don’t wear underwear when they go out for darshan. SB chides them if they sign off their letters to him as “your son”. He tells them to address themselves as “your wife” instead. It is common among “form boys” to joke among themselves whether they had a “one way” or “two way” when one of them returns from the interview room. Besides rings, watches and goodies like imported candy and such, SB gives the “form boys” money. The annual Kodai Kanal summer trips are the worst in terms of amount of abuse as there is no college to attend and the boys stay with him in the same building all day all night. There was this boy who was most sincere in his devotion who was picked by SB at the last minute to travel to Kodai Kanal for summer vacation. Prior to that, he had never been a “form boy” and SB had picked him unexpectedly. A while later, it was reported that SB was very pissed off with him and nearly kicked him out! The real reason is that the boy refused SB’s advances and therefore angered him greatly. There were several other such boys who discovered his true colors on the Kodai Kanal trips but tricked themselves into believing that SB is testing them through a leela!

The atmosphere in the hostel is terrible. From outside the building looks nice with it’s wedding cake design but life on the inside is anything but nice. The education in the college is free but there is a fee for boarding and food in the hostel. Students sleep on the floor, 14-16 in each room. The food is nice during the summer course when there are VIP guests and such but during regular times, it used to taste terrible and lack in nutrition. A boy once collapsed while giving a speech in the college. The doctor who looked at him advised him to eat lot of green leaves such as spinach to get iron. But in the hostel they never served green leaves! They used to serve substandard rice and daal which was again supplied at a subsidized cost by some devotee or the other. When I was new, I had an Oliver Twist movement where I asked for an extra portion and was refused! And if anyone showed up late for breakfast, lunch or dinner, the lecturer in charge of the dining room would close the door on them! Imagine denying food to growing boys in the name of discipline!

Most of the lecturers are ex students. They live in the hostel as well. They are a bunch of frustrated individuals who desire to leave the movement but are trapped without an exit once they are in. They take out their frustrations on the students, behaving very rudely towards them. One lecturer had a very short fuse. When students don’t wake up early in the day for morning prayer, he is known to kick them and say “wake up you bastard”. He once threw a boy’s guitar out of the window from the third floor in anger.

There was another lecturer who once lost his temper and slapped a boy repeatedly (like 25-30 times) in front of the whole class! There were several lecturers known to be abusers and boys in the know used to keep a safe distance from them. One time a boy was attacked by one such lecturer so he went and complained to the warden. The warden told him there is nothing he can do about it! The irony is that through all this suffering, many pray to SB to help them, thinking that he is some kind of savior!

Looking back, I am glad I escaped from that den of lies and deception without much damage. It also helped that I discovered the truth towards the end of my stay there. The last few months I avoided Darshan as much as possible, minimizing any chances of me ending up as another victim!

Over the years as I have read your blog and various other expose blogs, I have understood how SB’s fraud occurs on a global scale. Thanks for making so much information available to the world.

Sai Baba’s minion former Chief Justice Bhagwati showed total disrespect for justice

Posted by robertpriddy on May 1, 2011

full text of arrticle from Times of India entitled ‘Sai Baba, my god, dictated my every single judgment’ http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/home/sunday-toi/all-that-matters/Sai-Baba-my-god-dictated-my-every-single-judgment/articleshow/8130906.cms

In one of the most noteworthy interviews yet given in connection with Sathya Sai Baba, former High Chief Justice P.N. Bhagwati – to the Times of India – makes clear he is certainly not a man of justice or anything like upright and honest and is not even his own man, as the title of the Times article makes fully clear:-
‘Sai Baba, my god, dictated my every single judgment’. This seems to mean Sai Baba made him signed the infamous letter signed by Bhagwati along with PM  A.P. Vajpayee attacking (unnamed) vested interests who were accusing Sai Baba ‘recklessly’. It was itself reckless, being based entirely on belief and without any preceeding investigation whatever (see the facts here).

The comments so far show that Bhagwati has no supporters, no doubt because of the gigantic contravention of justice he displays and his mendacious replies about the murders, about which he most definitely knew full well.

As a director on the Board of the Sathya Sai Central Trust he should have a round figure as to the trust’s assets… but he claims ignorance.  Worse than fishy.

Hari Sampath, (Technology and Management Consultant) the original petitioner to the Supreme Court against Sathya Sai Baba – whose petition was advanced by the famous lawyer Kamini Jaiswal but which was rejected out of hand and the evidence destroyed (but for one vital copy!) – has posted the following questions to Bhagwati. No doubt there will be no answer received:-

Mr Bhagwati, I have some questions for you, although from your interview I have already got all answers. I had given a formal complaint to the CBI against Sai Baba in March 2001, and moved the Supreme court of India through a Public Interest litigation under article 32 of the constitution ( hope you remember this PIL law as you were the one who initiated it). From your responses it is very clear you have no respect for the law or the constitution, and you clearly state that any man/woman “revered” by millions as divine should not be investigated for any crime. Have you heard of the legal maxim “Justitia non novit patrem nec matrem; solum verrtatem spectat justitia. (Justice knows neither father nor mother; justice looks to the truth alone.), or for that matter “audi alteram partem” ( hear the other side), which are the basic pillars of natural justice ? If you have a case before you with even eyewitnesses who say Sai Baba raped a young boy , and if your judgment is ” what is the point of investigation, as I think he is god”…I think you must be locked up in a lunatic asylum. When the whole world is aware of the fact 6 murders took place in Sai Baba’s bedroom in June 1993, you- a Sai Baba trust member, who had extensive confabulations with the then home minister SB Chavan to close the case, now claim ” I was in Delhi and am not aware of it, I don’t know” , you must either be delusional or a fraudster. Shame on you Bhagwati, its a national disgrace that you were Chief Justice.

This surely deserved the replies it got:-

Proud to know people like Hari Sampath stood up against powerful criminals and ashamed to know that country produced CJI like Mr. Bhagwati. I agree that in the public interest, Mr. Bhagwati should be locked up in a lunatic asylum.

Sam Rai (India) replies to Hari Sampath

All the teachers at the Sathya Sai School and University in Puttaparthy and Whitefield are ex-students who were appointed by Sathya Sai Baba himself! Each of them was at one time a Form boy. Form boy is a term used in his school and University for boys who were sexually abused by Baba! Because they were sexually abused at a very young age most of them have become Gays! And these Gay teachers are now continuing to sexually abuse younger students, and this culture is continuing there!

P.N. Bhagwati shows signs of having ‘lost his marbles’ now that he has no Lord and Master to tell him what to do (he imagined), as he claims Sai Baba did in every detail, as many devotees often claim was his mystical way of communicating! His tearful talk shows he is emotionally unstable and his statements show he is mentally unstable too. Worst of all, India has had to live under his corruption and all that of Sathya Sai Baba too. It leaves behind an Augean stable that will take decades to clean up, if then!

Ladies Day – Sathya Sai Baba vs. Women’s Day and true female emancipation

Posted by robertpriddy on March 8, 2011

Sathya Sai Baba imagines that he has importance for the improvement of the status of women, not least because back in the 1990s he instituted a ‘Ladies’ Day’ at his ashram on November 19th. This year the woman President of India, Shrimata Prathiba Devisingh Patil attended this Ladies’ Day at Prashanthi Nilayam, worshipped Sai Baba and gave an address to the crowds about women. It was wholly evident from this address – along with many of Sathya Sai Baba’s statements about women and their role in life and society, that the values they support are very largely opposed to those of International Women’s Day, the 8th of March (see Wikipedia).

“Today, we are gathered at Puttaparthy to begin the 85th Birthday celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.I pay my regards and I wish him the very best on this occasion. His progressive views on the role of women are inspiring.” (see http://www.ssso.net/091110/191110.html)

Progressive views? Surely, about the last word one can associate with Sai Baba’s views – especially on women – is ‘progressive’? That the first female President of India finds them so speaks volumes about the lack of real female emancipation – even intellectually – in India. He regards the woman first and foremost to be a home maker, a mother and a chaste second-string to her husband. (
“Today is 19th November (1999). It is celebrated as Ladies’ Day to remind you of the importance of the mother.” (Sai Baba, Sanathana Sarathi, 12/99. p. 365)
Neither Sai Baba nor President Patil express anything supportive of the most central modern feminist ideals – equality of women with men throughout society, not least in the workplace as regards equal opportunities, rights and – not least – equal payment for equal work. The Sathya Sai Baba ‘teaching’ on women is 90% traditional Indian fare, that is – in a country where women are exploited to extreme degrees in the home and workplace, who have traditionally been excluded from nearly all male occupations, who can be seen to be treated by most men as subservient, second-rate citizens! What may seem progressive in India on this issue is regarded in most modern societies are truly backward-looking. In talking about women and the role and ideals they should adhere to, Sai Baba continually harps back to the mystical past of Rama’s rule and example of Savitri – a women whose intense prayers brought her dead husband back as a blessing from the death deity! Remarkably, Sathya Sai Baba claimed on November 19, 2010, just before his 85th birthday that that Ladies’ Day as instituted by him would be of major importance in forwarding women’s rights through future generations! Considered on the background of the world struggle for genuine female emancipation from their traditional roles and social suppression as represented by the suffragettes in Britain and now expanding throughout the world, Sai Baba’s claim reminds of his many other delusions of grandeur. His Ladies’s Day was first announced in 1995, but International Women’s Day already has its centenary this year, 2011!

If the following is progressive, I would like to know in what sense and to whom it applies (i.e. surely not fully grown Indian men?) … “You should conduct yourself according to the wishes of your mother. Do not disobey her.” (Sai Baba – Sanathana Sarathi 12/99, p. 365).

On one Ladies Day, Sai Baba said:As today is a sacred day dedicated to women, they should change themselves and help to change the men and the children. They should develop the qualities of sympathy, compassion; love and sacrifice. Study the lives of our great women, who were models of patience, fortitude, compassion and sacrifice. I desire that you should take up the reins of leadership and bring peace and prosperity to the nation by leading ideal lives.” (Sathya Sai Speaks Vol 28, Chapter 32 ‘When Women Are Honoured’)
Comment: The values listed  – patience, fortitude, compassion, and sacrifice – are noteworthy because surely they the very qualities which have made women endure without revolt the vast injustices of patriarchal and male chauvinist societies throughout history.

India's President, Pratibha Patil, worshipping Sathya Sai Baba

Lacking democracy and ‘rights’ for women

Sai Baba does not allow women in central positions in any of his institutions except those exclusive to women. Not one is represented on his Sathya Sai Central Trust or Prashanthi Council.   He avoids women on most occasions, a frequently observed and reported fact even by some keen devotees. Women in the ashrams who work (not the moneyed women visitors with jewels and costly silk saris) are employed mostly only in traditional women’s jobs in India – washerwomen, sweepers, orderlies, nurses. A few are doctors at his hospitals. Women are in general not provided with the same facilities as men at ashram events, such as chairs at conferences, nor are they allotted places on his much-envied veranda. At his walkabout ‘darsans’, Sai Baba very often simply strides past the women’s side and lavishes his attention on men and boys. All in all, Sai Baba must all be very confusing to women devotees! Not least, at Sai events in the ashrams they have to sit at the back and on the ground, while men are always to the fore. But there is one day of the year – Ladies Day – introduced in the 1990s, when women get the prominent place! Numerous students have reported that he is a strong misogynist, and this reputation has dogged him for decades.

Here are some of Sai Baba’s views about what is essential to women:-

“How To Celebrate Ladies’ Day? The Ladies’ Day should not be observed only by making speeches or holding Bhajans. They should endeavour to help the poor and the destitute. Helpless women who have no means of livelihood should be taught some occupations like tailoring to enable them to earn an income. Slum dwellers should be helped to keep their huts clean. The environment also should be cleaned to help the children grow in a pure atmosphere. Proper housekeeping should also be taught to those people. Disease is caused mainly by unhygienic surroundings. Moreover, air, water, mind, everything is polluted. Pollution is causing several new types of diseases” ( Baba, SS. 6/96, p. 160)

Bhagavan then delivered His discourse, in the course of which. He extolled the role of mother as the moulder of the family and the first teacher for children. In the evening, there was a cultural programme entitled ‘Naari Shakti’ (The power of women), which highlighted the glory of Indian womanhood as revealed in the story of Savitri, who brought back her husband from the Lord of death. ” (Editor Sanathana Sarathi 12/96. pp. 328 & 329)

“Women should realise that, irrespective of their education or position, their foremost obligation is to protect the home. For lakhs of students and children who go to school, the mother is the first teacher. From the moment of birth, for every one the mother is the preceptor. If such a teacher leaves her home to teach other children, who will teach her children? For Indian (Bharatiya) women, the first duty is to reform the home and run it along ideal lines! The home and the family is the basic social institution everywhere in the world. When the home improves, the whole world will be better.” Sai Baba at Prashanthi Nilayam on Ladies day – 19/10/1996. (Sanathana Sarathi, Dec. 1996, p. 334)

This is interesting thinking indeed, for each woman must teach only her own children, so “who will teach”. The answer to that is that there is no lack of male teachers, nor of women who are unmarried or whose children have grown up. These women could teach. The faulty assumption Sathya Sai Baba implies he has made in the above, however, is that it is due to the negligence of the home by women that the whole world has become as it is… and we know how Sai Baba sees the world through extremely jaundiced eyes as a place where unrighteousness rules and almost everything is wrong. He puts the burden of the home and the family on women, and the burden of the world on them, just as men have done throughout most of history! His belief is wholly untenable, of course, a prejudice of bygone ages.

Sathya Sai Baba has however bemoaned the fact that women are empowered to work outside the home and earn. Again, he harps back to the past he wants to revive:-

“Rama told Bharata that he should not permit women to take part in affairs of state. Women have their estimable role in household affairs, but they should be kept out of state politics. “Don`t employ women as ministers. The reason is: a nation’s honour is based upon its women. It is only when women maintain their respect and honour that the nation will be respected. It is not proper for women to cheapen themselves by roaming in public places.” and…

“How does the situation in the country today compare with Rama’s conception of an ideal government? The state of things today is 100% contrary to the ideas and ideals of Rama. How, then, can Rama Rajya be established here? If we desire to establish Rama Rajya there should be harmony in thought, word and deed… “ etc. . (Sanathana Sarathi, May 1995, p. 118).

Sai Baba seems to dither back and forth between the tradition he knows from Indian village life and the more modern approach many of his middle-class Indian ladies now hold. Women must in effect do two jobs if need be:- “A lady must look after the home first and then work outside, if necessary… she can study to get degrees, enter politics or do any other work but she should not neglect the home, which is the very foundation of her life.” (Sanathana Sarathi, Dec. 1997, p. 327-8).

No need to stick to the same opinion at all, so Sai Baba changes tack to:- “…in the modern world, it is necessary for the women to share the burden of maintaining the family with their husbands and so the women should also pursue studies as much as possible and take up suitable jobs to share the burden of the family. It will smack of selfishness if the males prevent them from going to work for which they have acquired the requisite qualifications. Women can control the whole world for themselves by virtue of their inherent qualities of love and spirit of sacrifice. (Sai Baba in a discourse, 19/4/1999 at Kodaikanal. Sanathana Sarathi, July 1998, p. 172)

So now we see that Rama – whose view on women is praised inordinately by Sai Baba – must have been seriously wrong, after all:- It will not be out of place to mention here that women who have wielded power in Bharat or other countries have proved themselves to be exceptionally able and successful. There have been many kings of Britain but no one ruled the country so well as Queen Victoria. Her rule was marked by righteousness, prosperity and efficiency. There was no discontent during her reign. In more recent times, Indira Gandhi ran the Government with courage and consummate skill. She was prepared for any sacrifice in the interests of her country.(see Sanathana Sarathi, Nov.-Dec.1995, p. 293). Yes, but nor can more than a very few women ever be seen in leadership positions in India.

In a turnaround from his “women’s place is in the home” talk, he suddenly pronounced: “Women too are doing all jobs equal to men. In fact, women do work more sincerely with dedication. Svami questioned the Director of the Indian Telephone Industries when he came to see Svami, about the percentage of women employed in the industry. He said 99% of the employees were women and added that women do better work than men. They do not stop or step out till the allotted work is completed. They have the work culture better than men. It is nowhere stated in any sacred text that women should only cook and not do work like men.” (Sai Echoes from Kodai Hills, 1998, p. 48-9). Here, Sai Baba sees it as exemplary that cheap women’s labour is exploited in the most boring and repetitive work of telephone exchanges (as they were earlier). These women must work long hours, then be home makers supreme etc. etc. This is much closer to the exploitation of women than respecting and honouring them.

Sai Baba devotees condone Kashmir violence?

Posted by robertpriddy on December 18, 2010

WikiLeaks: India ‘systematically torturing civilians in Kashmir’ writes The Daily Telegraph’:-

US diplomats were given evidence suggesting India was systematically torturing civilians in Kashmir, according to leaked cables. By Nick Allen, Los Angeles 12:17AM GMT 17 Dec 2010

Reportedly, in 2005 the International Committee of the Red Cross briefed US officials in Delhi that electrocution, physical beatings, sexual interference and other methods were being employed against hundreds of detainees by Indian security forces. The report to US authorities was detailed (691 of 1296 ICRC interviewed claimed they were tortured) and the ICRC asserted that that India “condones torture” and “routine killing” of civilians simply “connected to or believed to have information about the insurgency.”

The methods included being suspended from the ceiling (381 cases) and 304 cases were described as “sexual.” All of 294 victims described having their legs crushed by guards putting a bar across their thighs and sitting on it, and 181 said their legs had been pulled apart into the splits. US officials reported that “terrorism investigations and court cases tend to rely upon confessions, many of which are obtained under duress if not beatings, threats, or in some cases torture.”

PM Manmohan Singh is a worshipper of Sathya Sai Baba, who speaks of peace and non-violence. Yet neither the self-proclaimed omnipotent ‘avatar’ nor his devotees can or will say or do anything for the people of Kashmir. This is how actions look in the face of weasel words. Sarhya Sai Baba has had as followers most former Indian Prime Ministers, all the Presidents and countless Government and State Ministers, all of whom have been aware that Sai Baba has constantly claimed that he will regenerate Indian values and its people, and this only as a prelude to saving humanity! The results so far totally belie the claims and false predictions of this supposedly reborn Vishnu, Rama and Krishna… It is obvious that Sai Baba can never have any such influence since he is retrograde and atavistic and even wants a return to a mythical India of ancient times… Bharat social structure as it once was under Rama. We must all be very relieved that Sai Baba is an impostor as regards all that! Yet India’s leading figures STILL worship the feet of this stone-faced invalid as God Almighty. What future hope there is for a corrupt and tortured nation led by such people one cannot imagine.

Murders in Sathya Sai Baba’s ‘Abode of Supreme Peace’ – 3

Posted by robertpriddy on October 21, 2010

Graphic scenes of the murders in Sathya Sai baba's bedroom-1So that people involved with Sathya Sai Baba issues might not forget the horrendous murders in his bedroom in 1993 and their cover-up by the Government of India, the graphic evidence is circulated once again. These unsolved and covered-up murders – where Sathya Sai Baba was present but was never even questioned by police – will haunt Indian authorities for decades to come, and very rightly so. No form of redress – let alone anything approaching justice – was ever allowed for any of the bereaved – or for those affected by Sathya Sai Baba’s staff purges of ashramites whose lives had been dedicated to service under the figurehead of Sathya Sai Baba. Factual analysis of these photos by Basava Premanand:-

Pic. 12 to 15 are the photographs of Suresh Shatharam Prabhu, one of the four alleged assailants.
What the FIR states about the shooting dead the four assailants is that at about 11:30pm four assailants armed with daggers suddenly opened doors (of Baba’s bed room) pounced on police, attacked and caused injuries to three with a view to kill. As police could not over power them, in self defense, 5 police opened fire killing all the four assailants in the mandir. According to post mortem report all the four assailants were shot dead point blank at less than 6 inches distance. If the assailants had rushed out of the room, they ought to have been shot outside and not inside. The position of their bodies prove that all were shot inside the rooms and not from outside.

Pic. 12 shows Suresh Shantharam Prabhu with his head on the door step. In the 13th photograph taken from his back, his legs are in the middle of the room and there is a pink coloured bath towel on his right side. At his back on the left is a fallen teapoy. In the 12th and 13th photographs the position of the legs of the teapoy is different. Moreover if the teapoy was really mere it would not have been possible to open the door. If the assailant had come out of the door to stab the police, he would not have been shot inside the center of the room, from the back. There is not a drop of blood on the floor when he had been shot at less than 6″ distance at the back of the right chest.

The position of the body in Pic. 12 and 13 shows that he was shot from behind from the room. When the four alleged assailants were shot dead at less than 6″ distance, what was the necessity of 5 police shooting them is not known. Moreover the bullets which have pierced them have not been checked as to from which rifles they were shot. In the photographs 12,13 and 14, the body is lying in face down position, while in photograph 15 the body is on tl1e back with face up. It is also not possible to identify the room and as per the CB-CID remand report it is the bed room of Radhakrishna. On the far end of the room a bed sheet has fallen down half on the ground. The wound on the back of right chest is visible but it is dry. As the bullet did not come out of the body, there cannot be blood in the front side of the chest. But photograph 15 shows blood on the right and left of the shirt in the front and also on the sleeves. In photograph 12,13 and 14 the eyes are shut while in photograph 15 eyes are open. Some one has raised the shirt and so his chest and part of the stomach is seen. His right hand is in a different position in photograph 15 from that in photographs 12,13 and 14. There is a drop of blood on the floor near the doorsteps and two knives. If Suresh Shantharam Prabhu after being shot in the middle of the room fell down dead the knives cannot fall outside. The position of the two knives looks as if some one had placed them there. The two hands under his body proves that he had not thrown the knives away. More over, no gloves is seen in the room or outside. So the fingerprints on the knives ought to have been checked by the police. There is some blood on his pants near the right leg.

Murders in Sai Baba's bedroom- corpses and shambles afterwards
Pic.l6,17,18,l9 are of Sai Ram a student of Baba’s University. The warden has not explained how he came out of the hostel at night when it is claimed that the hostel rules are very strict. The snake bed points out that he is in Sai Baba’s bedroom. His legs are inside the door and so he was shot inside the bedroom. He has been shot at the left side of the neck from a distance less than 6″. If he was running out of the room and stab the police it would not have been possible to shoot him at the left side of the neck. His leg and body position proves that he was inside the room facing the bed.

When his palms are under his body it would not have been possible for him to remove the gloves from his hand and throw it behind his head. There is no blood on the gloves also. The blood on the planks of the door proves that he was shot from inside with the door closed. Splashes of blood are there around him up to the hips and a pool of blood in front of his face. A neat white folded cloth is also splashed with blood which would not have come from the neck injury. There is a box and a small knife near his knee joint, also a blue bag, under his left foot there is a white cloth.
In Photograph 17 there is a rope above his head in the corner of the room. The eyes are closed in photograph l6,17, 1 8, while in photograph 19 it is wide open. Someone has raised his shirt and his stomach part is seen with his left hand on it. His mouth is open and everything looks unnatural.

In all the photographs the jeans and shirt are clean without blood stains. In usual course the blood would have sprouted out immediately he was shot on the neck and drenched his dress. It is also not possible to identify the room in photograph 19.

Victims of police execution on orders of Sathya Sai Baba's menPic.20,21,22 and 23 are of Jagannatham. His body is lying on his right side with legs towards the door and head towards the cot and the face towards the wall. There is a watch on his left hand and his left palm is near his face. He has been shot on his right palm, on the left side of the axilla piercing the left side of the chest and another shot on the right side of the 2nd sutor costal area lacerated up to the right mammary area. Here also he has been shot from inside the room and not from outside the door. There is an object near his right palm. The floor is clean and though blood is seen on the sleeves of the right hand in pic.20, the blood is not visible in pic.2l and 22. Pic.23 is with face up. There are blotches of blood on the right side of the chest but his hand position differs from the other photographs. While in photographs 20 and 21 his left hand touches his nose, photograph 22 shows his left hand away from the nose.
Pic.24 is of Suresh Kumar with Baba. He was very near to Baba and had collected lots of mementos from him. So also other assailants. Pic.25,26,27,28 are the murder scene of Suresh Kumar in Sai Baba’s bed room.

In pic.25 and 27 you can see his feet in the space of a wooden almirah. This very clearly proves that he had not dashed out of Baba’s bed room to stab the police and really he was shot while hiding behind the almirah. He was shot in the left eye and the brain was lacerated, the 2nd shot was on the right thigh and the 3rd shot in the lateral side of the left wrist. All shots were from less than 6″ distance. There is a blood pool around him down the waist and not beyond the thigh. Though the 2nd shot was on the right thigh there is no blood on the right side of the pants. Both the hands are with blood but the blood had not splashed around after the fall. The two knifes are clean at the handle and the one near to him, the blade has blood stains. There are two gloves near him one as if dipped in blood and the other spotless. When he would have died immediately he was shot in the eye there would not have been any time to remove the gloves after having been shot on the left wrist. There is also a part of white cloth touching the red ‘gloves without any blood on it. His shirt and pants are almost spotless. In photographs 25,26,27 he has fallen on his left side. The photograph 28 shows him fallen on his back and the hands are not in the same position as in other 3 photographs 25,26,27.

These murder photographs seem to have been taken alter the bodies are moved from the place of murder and suit the built up story in the FIR by the Circle Inspector of police Gangadhar Reddy, at the direction of H.J.Dora who had rushed to Puttaparthi on the 6th night itself from Hyderabad.

Murders in ‘The Abode of Supreme Peace’ [Prashanthi Nilayam] -2

Posted by robertpriddy on October 19, 2010

The aftermath of executions: Sai Baba's sofa, knives of the murdered followers, potassium cyanide bottle etc.

The aftermath of executions: Sai Baba's sofa, knives of the murdered followers, potassium cyanide bottle etc.

Should the utterly despicable cold-blooded executions of the four devotees in Sathya Sai Baba’s apartment be forgotten because of the despicable cover-up by the Government of India, the graphic description needs is being circulated once again.- After having intruded into the Prashanthi Nilayam temple and survived a knife battle in which two of the Baba´s servitors were killed – four devotees were trapped in the apartment and, hours later, were mowed down in a rain of bullets by police. If there is any justice or concern for what is right in this world, this unsolved major murder case will continue increasingly to haunt Indian authorities and the probity of its rulers in the last two decades for many long years to come.

No form of justice or redress of any kind was allowed for any of the bereaved or those affected by Sathya Sai Baba’s staff purges of ashramites whose lives had been dedicated to service under the figurehead of Sathya Sai Baba. Due to Sathya Sai Baba’s power over his top Indian government followers, it is unsafe for anyone within India to speak out or make a public record of what they know about this. Therefore, some foreign ex-followers are filling that gap assiduously! Here is the continuing account of what the damning photo evidence indicates, as made by former world-famous India Sceptic, Basava Premanand:-

The top left picture is the interview room of Sai Baba next to his bed room where Sai Baba meets the members of his trust and other functionaries [[Note: as of 1993]]: There are two wooden poles, one stained with blood, a pillow with blood stain, a wall clock, a table lamp and other articles on the sofa. But no blood on the sofa. The very fact that these materials are on the sofa set proves some one had placed them on the sofa. This proves that there were others in Sai Baba residence. On the left side of the sofa near the teapoy there is rope and a stick. In front of the sofa on the left side is a hose and a T-shaped metal instrument. On the right side in front of the sofa, part of a red and blue box or book is seen. The teapoy on the left side of the sofa is full with materials – flask, idol of Ramakrishna. etc.,

Pic.6 shows seven knives one as long as 4 feet. lt is not known how these could be hidden in their body by the four alleged assailants when blood stains are seen especially on the 4 foot  sword and the metal instrument. They were not found near the bodies of the four assailants.
As per the interview given by Retired Jus. Balakrishna Erady, Supreme Court, the 4 alleged assailants being the watchmen of the residence for the night had carried their bedding and the knives etc. might have been hidden in the bedding. But their bedding is not found inside the residence as per the observations of the mandal executive magistrate:

Pic.8 is of the 2 bottles containing potassium cyanide and ether and the rest are the defused bomb parts with wire etc. The police have not explained how alter a thorough search of the premises on 7th, they discovered the bombs on 8.6.1993. Also because of the visit of president’s family and home minister the whole complex would have been searched by the intelligence department as per the protocol. When the bombs were not found then, it proves beyond doubt that the bombs were planted after the murders to make the murder case strong.

Murders in The Abode of Supreme Peace temple – 1

Posted by robertpriddy on October 15, 2010

In case anyone might forget these horrendous murders and their cover-up by the Government of India, the graphic description needs to be circulated once again. This murder case will haunt Indian authorities for decades to come, and very rightly so. It is not even one of the most serious miscarriages of justice, because no form of justice was allowed for any of the bereaved or those affected by Sathya Sai Baba’s staff purges of ashramites whose lives had been dedicated to service under the figurehead of Sathya Sai Baba.

'The door and curtains of shame' -Sathya Sai baba interview room door (blue) and temple door. The Prashanthi Nilayam temple (mandir) is the massive building where the 3 domes are covered with gold – the residence of Satya Sai Baba with a plinth area of 35’x90’ with a first floor of the same dimension. The ground floor from left up to 75 feet length is used as a prayer hall and the end rooms on the right is used by Sai Baba for personal interviews with a staircase leading to the first floor which is occupied by the godman, his personal aide Radha Krishna and other body guards including the trust member Col.Joga Rao. Tehelka Com November 29,2000 article states that the Sathya Sai Baba is ringed with two concentric circles of Israel-trained and armed security personnel, close-circuit television, wireless communications with Uzis slung on their shoulders.

When actual murders were carried out and Sai Baba got the case closed, this alone proves he is not one practising Sathya Dharma, Shanthi and Prema. Note  the entrance to the interview room on the ground floor where selected devotees wait.

We see photos of the interview room where the four Sai Baba aides are alleged to have been stabbed by the four alleged assailants out of which two died. The blue door leads to the staircase leading to the first floor. Strangely the wooden throne used by Sai Baba while giving interviews is missing in the room. There is a pool of blood in the centre of the room on the left side which is alleged to have gushed out of the stab injuries of the four aides.

There is a stick in the middle of the blood pool and a metal rod at the end of the blood pool facing the blue door. How these happened to be in the room is not investigated.

According to the FIR it is alleged that the four assailants entered into Baba’s ground floor room on pretext of handing over a telegram to Baba and the four aides objected them and that said assailants attacked and stabbed them with daggers indiscriminately. It doesn’t look like 8 persons (four aides and four assailants) were fighting and being stabbed When someone attacks, one does not stand still but try to evade the attack and escape. So the stabbing would not have happened at a particular place. If four had fallen down after being stabbed indiscriminately there would have been their foot marks and body marks in the blood pool. The splashed blood would have been in different places in the room. There are rope pieces strewn around the spattered blood. The police have not investigated who were tied with ropes – the alleged aides or the alleged assailants.

If someone had tied the alleged aides with ropes, the question of the assailants stabbing them does not arise. And if the alleged assailants were tied with ropes murdered and shifted to Sai Baba’s and Radhakrishna’s bed rooms, the question of the jumping on police to kill them do not arise. Therefore the police drama of firing 31 rounds of bullets was a farce. These rope pieces prove that the aides were not tied by the alleged assailants nor were they stabbed by them.

Moreover the feet of the 4 assailants would have been drenched with blood if they had stabbed the aides went to upstairs to do away Swamy as stated in the FIR there would have been foot prints of blood leading to the stairs but the floor after the blood pool leading to the door is clean without a speck of blood.

Bottom right is the staircase with doors open (the photograph seems to have been made up out of two exposures). While there are no footprints in blood on the floor after the door, surprisingly blood is seen sprinkled on the steps and 3 streamlets of blood flowing up to the floor on the doorsteps. This is unnatural and the police have not explained how the blood suddenly appeared on the doorsteps and the stairs. They also do not look like the footprints of blood of the four assailants. So if it was true that the four assailants had indiscriminately stabbed the four aides, their foot prints in blood would have been seen surely on the floor and the stairs or where ever they walked. Also when the door to the stairs is seen closed, it is strange that the blood has splashed on the stairs.

Vishal Arora Indian journalist exposes Sathya Sai Baba

Posted by robertpriddy on September 20, 2010

‘The Caravan’ Magazine on Sathya Sai Baba by independent investigative journalist Vishal Arora states:-

Sathya Sai Baba bedroom murders summarized by Vishal Arora, independent Indian journalist

As Arora found out, there is a most powerful and widely extended cadre of Sathya Sai Baba worshippers in power in India, most of whom having been outspoken as worshipping devotees for many years. Prestige, favours, money and, above all, the fear or ridicule for having been so thoroughly taken in by a widely accused pedophile and accomplice to murder of his own devotees is a powerful factor in their continued fear (and blocking) of investigations of any kind into Sathya Sai Baba. Vishal Arora writes:-
There is no lack of powerful, high-profile people cutting across political parties and spheres, professing their faith in Sai Baba.
Justice PN Bhagwati, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India in 1985 and 1986, calls him “divinity incarnate” in Baba is God in Human Form: Experiences of Divinity of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. In the same book, Shivraj Vishwanath Patil, currently Governor of Punjab and former Union Home Minister, says, “He is the knowledge; He is the wisdom personified.” Shankarrao Bhavrao Chavan, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra for two terms and former Union Home and Finance Minister, says he has “no hesitation in saying, whatever position and status I have is purely because of Bhagwan’s blessings.”
And further:-
Famous Indian laywer Kamini Jaiswal spoke to Vishal Arora about the blank refusal of the Supreme Court Petition against Sathya Sai Baba.

Supreme Court of India cover-up: petition ad Sathya Sai Baba rejected

Posted by robertpriddy on August 13, 2010

Evidence and documentary proof of failed petition to the Supreme Court of India. The attempt to prosecute Sathya Sai Baba a decade ago was rejected in a most corrupt manner by a Sai Baba worshipping judiciary:-

Reply-To: harisampath@visto.com
Dear All,

In what has been described by all observers as a “shocking” decision, the Supreme court refused to even hear the petition yesterday.
The Judge who heard it last week in the preliminary , Justice Agarwal (who said “these things have been going on for decades” ) was scheduled to be hearing the petition. In the last minute, he was suddenly transferred to another case by the Chief justice Anand, a Sai Baba folower, who appointed his right hand man, a corrupt judge called Lahoti to hear the case.

As soon as Kamini Jaiswal and Prashant Kumar started opening the case, this judge started posing all sorts of absolutely stupid questions, with NO LEGAL BASIS.

Here is what happened as recounted to me by Prashant Kumar.

************************************************

Kamini Jaiswal : May I proceed with the case introduction ?

Judge Lahoti : Wait….there is a problem with the affidavit of the petitioner, I want it clarified.

Kamini : There is absolutely nothing wrong, the affidavit is perfectly fine.

Judge Lahoti : Why is the affidavit dated April 5th 2001 and you are coming up only now with the petition , in May ?

Kamini : The affidavit was signed by the petitioner and had to be mailed, along with his petition. The petition had to be mailed to him first so that he could sign it.

Judge Lahoti : How can that take more than a month ? This is an old affidavit , then.

Kamini : If you notice the address of the petitioner, he is in the United States, and mail takes a few days to reach there and then back here to India. We filed the petition more than 10 days back, citing reasons for urgent mention, and according to the court order, the case was posted for today. That is why we are here now.

Judge Lahoti : Well…it seems that the petitioner is in USA,it is my mistake. Anyway there are other reasons I want to clarify this petition. Why are you approaching the Supreme court ? We don’t want to hear this petition, please go to the High court in Andhra Pradesh.

Kamini : The reasons are clearly mentioned in the petition, and we are filing the petition under Article 32 of the constitution, which gives us the right to come to the Supreme court.

Judge Patnaik (second judge) : Why was the petition not filed in the Andhra High court under Article 226 ? Go to the High court.

Kamini : That is what I am coming to, Article 32 and Article 226, both grant the same rights in the Supreme court and High court respectively…..either option can be pursued. If I may proceed with my argument, I will explain why…

Judge Lahoti : No… go to the High court…

Kamini : Can I at least have a hearing ?

Judge Patnaik : ok.. go on…

(Kamini begins her arguments, and starts detailing all the media reports about Sai Baba, the statements of sexual molestation, etc….. when she reaches the point about UNESCO…. she is interrupted)

Judge Patnaik : This court doesn’t want to hear this petition, go to the Andhra High court.

Kamini : But I have not even come to the point explaining why we choose to file under Article 32 in Supreme court…

Judge Lahoti : You can do the same under Article 226 in Andhra Court…

Kamini : But that exactly is what I was going to say, about why I cannot do that there, can I please continue ?

Judge Patnaik : Why are you here, why don’t you go to Andhra ?

Kamini : It is clearly stated in the petition, and I am coming to that…

Judge Lahoti : what grounds ?

Kamini : The respondent Sai Baba has a 60,000 million rupee empire in Andhra Pradesh, with total control over the entire state government… how can we go there ? There are also lot of other political influences …

Judge Patnaik : No, we are not going to allow this petition here, go to the Andhra High court..

Kamini : But if this was the issue, we could have been informed 10 days back, we were asked to come today…

Judge Patnaik : We are going to dismiss the petition.

Kamini : On what grounds ?

Judge Lahoti : We do not have to cite any reason for dismissing it..

Kamini : Can you at least give a ruling “with liberty to go to Andhra High court” ?

Judge Patnaik : No I am not going to do that.

Kamini : But that is what you were saying all along , if you want us to go to the Andhra High court, and if that is the reason you are not hearing this petition, can you please put it in writing ? We can then take it to the Andhra High court .

Judge Patnaik : No , I just asked you why you are here, and said that you should be in the Andhra High court. I am not going to include that in the ruling.

Kamini : Can we at least withdraw the petition from this court, and approach the Andhra High court ?

Judge Lahoti : you could approach the Andhra High court if you want to, but we are going to call this petition “dismissed”, and not allow you to withdraw it.

Judge Patnaik : Petition dismissed, no reasons are given by this court. That is the ruling .

*************************************

As we can clearly see, this “hearing” was rigged and blatantly violating all legal norms.

The whole proceeding took less than 10 min… with the judges constantly interrupting Kamini Jaiswal…. and repeatedly raising irrelevant questions, without giving her a chance to explain the legal reasons why she was representing in the supreme court.

That judge Lahoti is notorious as a “Chief justice Anand’s hit man”, who had been cleverly appointed at the last minute, replacing Justice Barucha and Justice Agarwal, who heard it last week.

It is very very obvious why they were so eager to “dismiss” the petition, without a complete hearing, and also not give a ruling that we could approach Andhra High court, although they stated it orally.

They want us to go to Andhra High court, and everybody knows what will happen there. There will not even be a formality of a hearing in Andhra.

Scan proving the Supreme Court's rejection of a petition against Sathya Sai Baba

The scan that proves definitively that Sathya Sai Baba was protected by the Supreme Court of India and could not be tried, let alone convicted.

Comment:
Worse yet, shortly after their rejection of the Petition lodged by Hari Sampath, the Supreme Court of India deleted all public documentation of it having been made. The British Ambassador to India attempted to get confirmation of the rejection by the Supreme Court but there was no record of it! Nonetheless, a copy of the formal rejection paper was preserved and a scan of that attested document is here:-

At that time, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh had once been none less than the private driver for Sathya Sai Baba ! One can imagine the chances of a petition to the AP High Court. In a mail from Basava Premanand to the Danish film director Øjvind Kyrø, who produced the Danish National TV Documentary ‘Seduced’ (by Sai Baba), he stated:

—– Original Message —– From: <geedeemedi@vsnl.net>

Subject: re
“Regarding murders in 6.6.1993 I went up to the Supreme Court and though the apex court ordered the police to take action against the accused as per the investigation by CB-CID the case was closed by the Andhra Government. Now that the government is changed and the present Chief Minister and Governor of Andhra Pradesh are fans of mine. We have put in a petition to get it opened and the Governor has agreed to meet me.”

However, despite sustained efforts to re-open the case, Premanand’s petition was totally disregarded right up until his death last year. This shows the pull that Sathya Sai Baba and his minions had in the corridors of power in India, especially the top of the Indian Government (which they still have).

Police chiefs in India can escape justice

Posted by robertpriddy on June 29, 2010

Indian public outraged at police invulnerability The case of S.P.S. Rathore – a police chief who brutally raped a 14-year old girl and escaped justice, whereupon she killed herself – was nearly buried by the media and government. However, the gradually awakening wider Indian public rose in anger and have made this a landmark case in bringing some accountability to police chiefs in India. This cover-up is but one of hundreds of similar reported cases of unpunished police killings and massive brutality in the past decade, among the most serious of which is the continuing Indian government’s cover-up of the police executions of four students of Sathya Sai Baba in his bedroom in 1993. The cover-up for this constantly self-proclaimed God Incarnate and world saviour is to protect the reputation of India’s five Prime Ministers, four Presidents, the judiciary and many top people in India others who had already worshipped this widely accused pedophile, sex abuser and proven ignoramus plus murder accomplice for decades before he was exposed.

What Rathore said and the government backed Dinker Vashisht Posted: Tue Dec 22 2009, 06:04 hrs Chandigarh: “Despite being replete with loopholes and improbabilities, S P S Rathore’s version of the “facts” in the Ruchika molestation case found strong backing in the corridors of power.” (Indian Express 22/12/2009)
Comment: Yet the “facts” were false and the authorities did not car to examine them!

In THE HINDU January 4, 2010  S. Viswanathan wrote: “What significantly differentiates the S.P.S. Rathore case from comparable atrocities of the past is the progressive and healthy shift it has caused in the attitude of the mainstream news media and people, particularly those drawn from the middle classes, to sex-related crimes against women and children. Unlike in the past, this activist concern goes beyond sympathy for the victims. It extends to more substantive and wide-ranging aspects such as the legal rights of the affected, the relevant laws, the law’s delays, the forms of judicial procedure, the adequacy of the sentence awarded to the perpetrators of the crime, and the compensation decreed to the victims or their families.

All this is reflected in the scores of letters from readers that can be read in newspapers, which published on December 22, 2009 a small report on the court verdict that sentenced Rathore to six months imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 1,000 for sexually molesting a 14-year-old girl at Panchkula in Haryana, 19 years ago. “At long last, justice, too little and too late, has seemingly been done to the girl, who was growing into a promising tennis player, when she chose to end her life,” a newspaper quoted a neighbour of the girl’s family as saying. (The sexual assault on the minor took place in 1990 and she committed suicide three years later, unable to bear the harassment and torture her father and brother had to suffer at the instance of the police official, abusing all the power at his command. All that the father and son did was to take the issue to court. The investigation and the proceedings in different courts prolonged the agony of the family for nearly two decades.)

In the weeks following the news report on the verdict thousands of articles, analyses, and pictures in print and online were generated by it. TV channels have vied with one another to take the message to even larger sections of people across the country.

The indifference and failure of Haryana Chief Ministers to get the culprit punished within a reasonable period have been widely deplored. S. Viswanathan”

“Comment from Neha, Amritsar: India is a unique country in many respects, its just ice system being one of them. One wonders the wisdom of our criminal laws that let many Rathores go scot free while numerous innocent people are languishing in jails for the want of a fair trial. So many people have not yet been formally convicted in spite of spending considerable period in confinement disproportionate to what their offence may have warranted. The Rathore case amply demonstrates the importance of freeing judiciary from money and muscle power.”

The Indian police system is known to be one of the least accountable in any democratic nation, and it is hardly surprising considering the following facts:-

Sathya Sai Baba dared not sue ‘Sunday People’ newspaper

Posted by robertpriddy on June 17, 2010

Since the exposure of Sathya Sai Baba took off in 2000, all British newspapers – as well as the BBC – have taken a united stand against Sathya Sai Baba, not least because of the common knowledge that he and his minions tried hard to ensnare Prince Charles, despite the god-guru having denounced them in a private interview (see here).

Had Sathya Sai Baba been innocent of the many allegations against him, it would have been easy for him or his organization to sue the forthright report in the UK newspaper, Sunday People, on grounds of libel, which is a simpler process in UK than in most other Western democracies. Of course, no litigation of any kind has ever been initiated against any of the world-wide reports of his activities, though threats have been made now and again (which proved empty). Seeing the enormous funds he rules over, the public can only draw the conclusion that he and his followers know well that he would lose any such court case. There are numerous sworn testimonies on sexual abuse in safe keeping in the event of any such attempt to attack his critics, who have kept the revelations about him and his countless deceptions alive on the Internet for the past decade. Sathya Sai Baba is protected by the Indian Government and judiciary against any lawsuit in India, since – an amazing fact in itself – the past several Presidents and Prime Ministers of India have been his feet-worshipping devotees!
Here is the Sunday People article:-

UK newspaper Sunday People on Sathya Sai Baba
Paedophile Guru in bid to snare Charles Sunday People U.K. – March 12, 2001

MI6 are probing bizarre sect’s link with the Royals

A PERVERT guru who believes he can sexually abuse young boys because he is GOD has tried to lure Prince Charles into his sinister religious sect. He has enlisted some of the Prince’s closest associates in his move – and the future King has admitted he has considered meeting the swami. Yet we can reveal the FBI and police forces round the world and even a senior UN organisation are already investigating millionaire mystic Sai Baba over scores of alleged sex and other crimes. Now MI6 are probing his bizarre movement’s links with Buckingham Palace.

Pot-bellied

For, the Sunday People can reveal, he planned to increase his worldwide influence by converting Charles into one of his millions of followers. The tiny pot-bellied holy man – who wears orange frocks and sports a 70s-style Afro hairdo – enlisted the help of one of the prince’s most-trusted advisors. He hoped that architect Professor Keith Critchlow would be able to persuade Charles to visit his temple, or “ashram”, in southern India.

Amazingly, we have obtained a copy of a letter which Charles wrote to another of Baba’s high-powered disciples within royal circles. In it, he says: “Keith (Critchlow) has often told me about Sai Baba and the effect he has had on many people and it is wonderful to know of the difference he has made to your life. “Perhaps I will be able to meet him one day when the time is right.”

The letter is signed: “Yours most sincerely, Charles.”

At the time, the prince was unaware that Sai Baba was being investigated for sex crimes. Nor did he know that there were also allegations of fraud and widespread financial corruption. UNESCO has also withdrawn support for a conference they were going to co-organise with Sai Baba. And the Foreign Office is now warning British travellers to India to be wary of the group. A senior legal figure linked to Sai Baba’s victims discovered the guru’s plan to target the prince and alerted M16. Sai Baba, the son of a humble peasant farmer, has a massive worldwide following, including at least 40,000 supporters in the UK.

Millions of families with children flock to his luxurious temple, near Bangalore in southern India, to pay homage. But to gain respectability for his movement, Sai Baba has deliberately set out to target showbiz stars, leading politicians, and royals as VIP supporters. Among them is 70-year-old Animal Hospital presenter and children’s favourite Rolf Harris. He claimed the guru’s teachings had transformed his life and played his famous didgeridoo on a fund-raising CD of mystic chants. Another disciple is British blues singer Dana Gillespie. But Sai Baba’s biggest dream was to ensnare a member of the British Royal Family.

Concert pianist David Bailey, who got involved with the movement during the early 90s, told how he and Prof Critchlow held several meetings in India with the guru. And one time Critchlow asked him: “Isn’t it time for me to bring Prince Charles out to see you?”

Bailey said: “The organisation loved to get celebrities in the fold. They were invited to Baba’s birthday parties.   “At the time I was completely besotted and like other devotees thought I’d win brownie points by recruiting influential people.”

Brainwashing

Bailey even tried to “hook” Prince Andrew and Fergie before their marriage broke up. He said: “I had been asked to organise an evening of music at their home and, to put it bluntly, planned to start brainwashing them. “But the evening was cancelled at the last minute.” Fergie did later pay Sai Baba a private visit in 1997 on the recommendation of a stress counsellor following her marriage break-up. The guru likes to amaze followers by passing off cheap conjuring tricks as “miracles” and producing watches and jewellery out of thin air. And he astonished Fergie by making the bangle appear apparently from nowhere.

Bailey finally turned his back on the sect after learning the disgusting truth about Sai Baba’s sexual perversions. He has spent the last two years exposing the bogus holy man, who likes to rub oil into boys’ genitals claiming it helps release their sexual tension. Bailey, who once worked as a music teacher at the Indian temple, explained: “To my horror, I found out he was a homosexual paedophile.” Now every attempt is being made to ensure Sai Baba is kept away from Charles and other royals.

Swami Nithyananda scandal – jail, no bail

Posted by robertpriddy on April 23, 2010

Swami Nityananda is seen on a video caressing an Indian actres on a bed etc.s accused of sexual

Swami Nityananda, trying to cover up the sex video evidence, contradicting himself time and again

Having fled the arm of the law to the Himalayas, Nithyananda has been caught and removed into custody in Bangalore, awaiting trial (along with several of his associates). He is charged under section 295 (a) – deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious belief. See here. Important documents have and large sums of money have reportedly been seized.

Swami Nithyananda’s break of trust with his estimated 2 million ‘followers’ is very serious. He is another bogus ‘godman’ among the many in India, and that he has been jailed without bail is itself a positive step in that it shows that Indian civil society is not entirely without power to punish false gurus and protect the gullible from investing their energies and money is him and all the otherworldly promises on which he can never deliver.  Many Indians have spoken out against gurus to an unprecedented extent as a result of the Nithyananda scandal.

However, at the same time it, Nithyananda’s influence – though the numbers claimed are doubtless vastly inflated – are as nothing besides the megalomaniac claims of Sathya Sai Baba. If anyone deserved to come under legal scrutiny it is  Sathya Sai Baba, whose involvement in cold-blooded murder of four devotees was covered-up by the Indian Government (CBI investigation quashed totally through former Indian Home Minister S.B. Chavan and Prime Minister Narasimha Rao). Then there is the infamy of Sathya Sai Baba’s known sexual molestation (i.e. genital oiling of young men in private on their private parts, accepted as ‘spiritual healing’ by many of his officials) and further the mass of worldwide allegations of his outright perverse sexual abuses that often follow on genital ‘anointing’. (See interview on this to the BBC Khushwant Singh: genital oiling, lingams, followers etc.)

Such comments are the following brief sample occur on diverse Indian discussion boards, blogs etc:

Hi everybody,
I just wondering whether the people who is going behind Saibaba have stopped going to his places after the Nidyanantha scandal! But unfortunately, NO!
It happenned after Premananda Swami, it’s happenning after Nidyanantha swami, and will go on………. like this until every individual get experienced themself. If they allow cameras inside the Saibaba’s places then you can have plenty of videos like this one.
GOD has no intention to come through or on a human to give his messages. If GOD is there then he is everywhere, you can just talk to him, pray him, admire him, thank him and ask him. GOD is not going to give you pleasure because you paid donation to Nidyanantha.
People, please THINK AGAIN!

Swami ‘Paramahamsa’ Nityananda scandal

Posted by robertpriddy on March 28, 2010

Swami Nithyananda is seen on a video caressing an Indian actress on a bed etc.s accused of sexual

Swami Nityananda, caught trying to cover up the sex video evidence all can see.

Swami Paramahamsa Nithyananda – alias Rajasekaran, a native of Tiruvannamalai was caught on video in compromising situations with Tamil  actress Ranjitha and another woman. Serious complaints to the police were lodged by various persons, including Kannada actor Praveen and his ‘second-in-command; Lenin. Since then he has withdrawn into indeterminate spiritual seclusion’ and his main ashram has ceased to function. This case pales by comparison with those of Pope Benedict or Sathya Sai Baba, but it has awakened more Indian media suspicion of Indian gurus than any comparable event. So much so that a film ‘God and Sex’ on Nityananda’s life is to be made by director Ram Gopal Varma.

Zeenews.com reported (23-3-2010): “Tamil Nadu police who had registered cases under various sections, including rape, against Nityananda, transferred them to the police in Ramanagar, as the Ashram falls under it.” The Times of India reported that: “There will be no stay on investigation. Let me go through those papers,” the judge observed when the counsel for the petitioner pleaded for interim order of stay on the proceedings apprehending arrest following the filing of the FIR.”

Kamini Jaiswal, a senior Supreme Court lawyer , who has fought a case against Sathya Sai Baba (see here), blames blind followers for such incidents. “It is shocking to see that well educated people are followers of such godmen,” she said. (Source CNN-IBN)

Swami Nithyananda is notable for the degree of pathetic denial and self-contradictory ‘explanations’, for example:-

“Swamiji has said that the video is a morphed one and blames one of his inmates Premananda alias Lenin Karuppan, for the morphing of his face with the idea of defaming him. It is said that Swamiji tried to stop the airing of the video footage but a civil court did not grant any stay.” (Source)

“Yes, I am in the video. And I am not running away from the law. I was in a trance when the video was shot. Give me a chance to explain myself” Swami said. (Source)

Then about the video he told that they are only the experiments with Tamil actress Ranjita.(Source)
