Sathya Sai Baba on the Moon

Posted by robertpriddy on November 23, 2007

It would indeed be a world event of huge magnitude if everyone around the world could see the face of Sathya Sai Baba on the moon. But only his devotees – and then the most gullible of them – claimed he ever really was visible there. There is a feature on the moon which has the general shape of the Afro-frizz of Sai Baba. Only through zeal and wishing to see more than is visible, can followers regard it as him… others can read into it all manner of other persons with Afro hairstyles (Jimmy Hendrix is a popular one). The man in the moon has many faces – a regular ‘vishvarupa’ phenomenon? (i.e. all divine forms in one)

So before you worshippers get excited about the famous overclouded “darshan of Sathya Sai Baba on the face of the moon” and look for photos from other times and place, first send such photos to NASA for proper confirmation that Sathya Sai Baba DOES figure on the moon …if  you don’t want to look like a literal lunatic. Better to become world famous for discovering the unprecedented astronomical phenomenon, eh? Remember, the moon is under constant observation by hundreds of telescopes and thousands of serious supporting amateur astronomers. Be sure that your photo will most certainly be given the closest of attention. All this would have amused the famous Rorschach considerably.

However, it later transpired that Sai Baba was applauded by hundreds of devotees who were gathered to view this amazing phenomenon of his appearing on the face of the moon (date unknown), if the video on YouTube is what it claims to be!! SEE THE SAI BABA MOON VIDEO HERE!

Only problem is that, in this case it was not SATHYA Sai Baba who they were applauding, but the entirely different looking SHIRDI Sai Baba (who left the body early last century) !

One has to wonder… is are these highly elusive lunar appearances of the nature of a competition between opposed religious camps of followers? Or are they simply delusions which are related to mental derangement through indoctrinated beliefs, and thus closer to lunacy even than lunar worship? Devotees of both Sai Babas see what they want to see with all manner of unbelievable ‘miracles’ that hearsay claims their gurus have performed.

There’s plenty more where the above came from! One has to marvel and have a good laugh! See…

Sai Moon Man
http://www.masala-skeptic.com/2007/12/moonstruck.html This is a comment by someone with a common sense and a sense of humour! And it has links to two videos of the supposed “moon darshan”:The first one is very ‘jumpty’ and there are clearly clouds passing and changing the appearance of the moon. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3bf23_saibaba-on-the-moon-27102007The second one claims to be “an analysis” when it is simply subjective ink-blot imaginings: – http://www.dailymotion.com/tamgofree/video/x3bnp9_swami-on-the-moon-analyse_news

outlines

I have already shown how quite other faces can just as well be seen – Jimi Hendrix, a serial killer called Tookie Williams, and another face… Now there are other things the eager beaver can see:-  maps of parts of Asia, even India there. Admittedly, this is more interesting than green cheese. People believe anything, see anything hear anything… all according to what they want to see, hear, believe. As if it made any difference other than to fool some poor souls into thinking that Sathya Sai Baba is able actually to influence the moon’s appearance!> And to think that India’s ex-President Kalam, Prime Minister Manoman Singh , India’s President Pratibha Patil and a whole list of other top Indian Government ministers, judges and still believe in a person who makes such pointless and bogus claims as he did over this according to his closest servitor, Anil Kumar, in a public announcement! Remember the propaganda, Sathya Sai Baba claims outright to be the Creator of the Universe – nothing less than that! It is both laughable and tragic (for India’s reputation).

Attempts at damage-limiting denial
Someone wrote a comment to me saying that Sai Baba never said he would appear on the moon. The same was asserted by Gerald Joe Moreno on one of his thousands of web pages attacking critics of SB and who is famously in total denial about every sensitive fact about Sathya Sai Baba. These are typical symptoms of near-pathological denial or, at best, the regurgitation of disinformation. It is an attempt to explain away the undeniable facts of the matter so as to retain faith in this deceiving guru and self-declared incarnation of all Divine entities rolled into one!

What does Sathya Sai Baba say about it now?

Nothing!! Nowhere can one discover that he has denied it or mentioned it at all. As all who have been close to him know, he only lets people know what he wants them to believe. He answers only those questions he wishes, and ignored most questions. His officials are remarkably silent about the entire issue. Even were they to make an announcement, one could be almost certain it will be a deception. They are notorious for twisting the facts about him (particularly when he repeatedly has broken his hip, his arm, lost an eye etc. some claiming he is in full vigour and perfect health (though anyone can discover how decrepit and senile he is, besides not being able to speak clearly and so not hold any more boring discourses). With the former huge sums of donated money falling off, every effort is made by the ashram and the Sathya Sai Organization (through internal circulars) to keep devotees in the dark.

Back to the Moon

Strange indeed that so many devotees claim to have seen this (here)? Even the semi-official saibabaofindia.com websiteclaims this. Strange that he went to the airport where Anil Kumar told everyone to go for the moon darshan (according to numerous news reports shortly thereafter such as Sai-affiliated Sify.com here) and strange he got stuck in his car in the crown of 20,000 for a long time until he had to go back. Strange that the sky was clouded over too?

Sathya Sai Baba made it up as he went along

Hillcoat on Rita Bruce - Russian forum

Sathya Sai Baba heralded in “The Golden Age” of mankind and jumped the gun several times. (see The Golden Age (Sathya Yuga)  or here, or  here.) He supposed himself to be the precursor of such an age, and – as often documented – it will begin by his reforming India completely first, then the rest of the world. Sai Baba has told people on occasion that a great shift in human consciousness will come – he did so before the millennium (but nothing happened, not even the millennium bug – thereafter Twin Towers and the war on terror began).

Rumours circulated by Sathya Sai Baba at regular intervals of big changes coming (sometimes disasterous ones!) kept devotees in suspense and/or hope for the future, and still does with those in deep denial of his crimes. Remaining devotees are  incapable of looking back across all the failed predictions and direct lies Sai Baba perpetrated over the decades. For example, the New Zealand devotees, Poppy and Arthur Hillcoat, visited Cherepovets Russia in May, 2005. Poppy said she saw Rita and Robert Bruce just before leaving for Russia, and – as reported on the Russian Forum (screen capture above) – was told by them (LITERAL TRANSLATION):

“Yes, exactly they are. At the conference Rita and Robert conducted a one-day workshop of ‘parenting school’ and a workshop on ‘family and marriage’.
I do not remember exact titles. And it was Rita Bruce whom Swami told about practically instant transformation of people’s consciousness after his 80th anniversary.”

(The infamous ‘Hislop letters’ on sexual abuses of young men by Sai Baba were sent to US Sai-VIPs including Robert and Rita Bruce! Both are in total denial of all the facts they have encountered but ignored so as to “keep their faith”) continues to mislead people around the world by repeating truly absurd claims made to her by Sai Baba in the privacy of the interview room.

Sathya Sai Baba had the stick by the wrong end

It is most likely true, as Herbert Marcuse has said, that “A prerequisite of social transformation is the emergence of a new consciousness” But this did not happen as predicted after the 80th Birthday (of course), nor after his death in 2011. It can only be a gradual process along with diverse social changes, proper economic planning to lift people from poverty, sickness, ignorance and not least also superstitious beliefs and spiritual guru-dependencies. It will surely require very much increased national and also personal ‘green awareness’ and action on the very pressing issues of ecology, over-exploitation of natural resources, pollution of the earth, air and water and climate change (global warming).
Maneka Gandhi,Vandana Shiva, Arundati Roy still remain far too peripheral to Indian policy-making. Sathya Sai Baba’s contribution to raising awareness of ecological issues is minimal and mostly ill-informed – claiming that the inner workings of Divinity are where it all happens – as already noted on this blogsite.

Magnetic farce – Sai Baba stuck to the ground?

Posted by robertpriddy on August 24, 2007

man’s magnet radiation

This magnetism “does not come from anywhere outside” but then it is in temples? Sathya Sai Baba made one of his most hilariously absurd claims when he said that Mother Earth was so attracted to his magnetic feet that he could not lift them. [In fact, he had a serious hip problem which he was trying to cover up, until it collapsed entirely]. His magnetism, he said, was so strong his hands stuck to everything! He claims that the golden egg-shaped ‘lingam’ he pretends to materialize in his stomach and which he makes a great show of painfully vomiting forth on the Night of Shiva (‘Shivarathri’ – usually in February) resulted from all the gold in his body ‘churning and churning’. He attributed this to his hugely increased magnetic power (though gold does not magnetise, though he evidently believes it does). Later he tried to extract himself from the laughing stocks into which he had locked himself.

“Worldly magnets attract only iron filings whereas the Divine magnetic power attracts the entire world. (prolonged applause)” (Sanathana Sarathi , April ’03., p.122)

He is still very confused about what is physical and what is divine magnetism. But at Mahashivarathri 2002 he said that magnetic power is ONLY in Divinity (clearly meaning himself, the one whose feet and hands are all stuck up) and then, a year later (16/3/2003) that magnetic power is in everyone and, as seen above, even in flowers and fruit). In earlier discourses, such as on Mahashivarathri, March 13, 2002, for example, he said:

“Since the last two days, in order for this Linga to be formed, My whole body became magnetic.” Also “Even the rivers flow, clinging to the earth, due to the magnetism of the earth. Even the wind blows due to magnetic power. Magnetism is pervading everywhere. All the flowers and fruits that they offer are full of magnetism. So, this magnetic power, which is all-pervading, is shining in that temple. When so many thousands of devotees enter, this magnetism increases day-by-day. It will not decrease.
When a small iron piece is kept near a magnet, after a few days even that iron piece will become a magnet. So the individuals who enter into the temple and the things that they offer are all full of magnetism. Therefore, from where did the great powers of the temple arise? It comes from the magnetic power brought from the devotees. Hence, every individual fully has this magnetism.
It is this Divine power that arises in temples, attracts all individuals and also reveals all powers. This magnetism contains Divine power. It is said that magnetism is a temple’s nature. In science, they feel that it is pieces of magnet. They call it materialist magnet. This magnetism (Divine power) is shining in every single human being.”

“So when I put My foot down, the whole foot stuck to the ground. It is a little hard to lift a foot that is stuck. Wherever I walk, it sticks there. Whatever is held, it sticks to My hand. This magnet is not in everyone like this. This magnet is so powerful only in Divinity.” See Discourse on Shivarathri Day March 13

He has surely heard that the earth has a magnetic field with North and South magnetic poles? He seems to imagine this is what drags on his feet, or vice-versa. If this had been so, then his food would stick in his gullet and throughout his body. He says he lifts one foot by his ‘divine will (sankalpa)’ despite the massive force, but meanwhile the other one sticks to the ground. But it is unadvisable to lift both feet off the ground simultaneously. Well, this walking in a sea of tar is all entertaining comical Godswallop! The mystery is how apparently intelligent people can swallow it without losing faith in him!The magnetism got so powerful in May 2003 that it pulled him hard down to his bathroom floor and broke his apparently osteo-arthritic hip, so his will (i.e. ‘sankalpa‘) was not enough, it seems. He had to be operated by doctors in hospital and stop giving darshan!

Sai Baba: Prayer, not environmental awareness?

Posted by robertpriddy on August 16, 2007

Sai on ‘foolish’ scientists

If Indians do worship the earth, what effect does it have? It can’t be measured in any scientific way, of course. Everywhere across the globe, the earth is being over-exploited, and particularly in developing countries. Unfortunately, this is unlikely to be affected one iota by praying to the earth… that is a superstition prolonged by religionists like Sai Baba from the era when there was no natural science and one could only believe that deities like Indra ruled the rain and thunder… and so forth. It is the government and many Indian corporations which control of major industry, agriculture and the whole environment in India. They cannot be “worshipping the earth” in any appreciable way (or praying to the ‘earth mother’ (Bhoomidev), for the land is being raped and polluted on a huge scale by the activities under their regime. The situation has doubtless not improved since international companies were allowed to engage in the Indian economy, but then the economy has improved beyond recognition since the Narasimha Rao government opened the country up more. It is material need and corporate greed that drive over-exploitation and the destruction of eco-systems.

Sathya Sai Baba’s contribution to raising awareness of ecological issues is minimal and mostly as ill-informed as the above quotation – claiming that the inner significance is lost on “foolish scientists”. What kind of illumined inner significance has his vague prattle about “reflection, reaction and resound” and example of echoes in mountains? Sheer empty talk, compared to the knowledge science now has of the inner workings of genes, the origins and causes of nearly all natural phenomena, of stars billions of light years away. Science alone has traced ‘natural reactions’ in a comprehensible way… not Sai Baba, who continues to flaunt his ‘otherworldly’ vaguenesses and his ignorance of science, as already shown here (and more to come!).

GLOBAL WARMING OR GLOBAL WOBBLING?

Posted by robertpriddy on August 10, 2007

PAGE OF JOURNAL

More rubbishing of geophysical science by Sathya Sai Baba – the self-named “Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent Incarnation of God the Creator”. Since there are earthquakes, the earth is too heavy on one side, he implies? Who or what removes material from one side, though? Since Sai Baba has made crystal clear (see here) that earthquakes are due to human moral failings, then humans must be the culprits. [Perhaps he thinks it is because of the exporting of masses of raw materials? Who can tell?] But, then, there have been earthquakes for millions of years before humans walked the earth. As Spike Milligan and Peter Sellers used to say: “It’s all rather confusing really!”

So how is Sathya Sai Baba – who has stated that he alone has come now to save the world from disaster – going to right the balance and bring the earth back to normal, if that is the real problem? (If!). He is bound to his wheelchair or golf buggy all day, for a start. Aha! Do not be deceived (as he says) this little man is not what you see, for ‘He’ the One who keeps the planets in their orbits, and no doubt also the stars in their courses too, dontcha know? Now what I find REALLY amazing is that, after the exposure of all this repeated drivel, Indian Prime Ministers, Presidents, High Court judges and many Indian, US and even a few Danish professors, supposedly therefore of some level of learning, can continue to believe in Sai Baba! Above all, it is a disgrace that the Indian people should be told formally by their rulers that Sai bab – a widely-accused sex abuser, whose claim to be God is actually illegal by Indian law – is one of India’s ‘National Treasures’.
“The earth is spherical”, he reveals to us – now, not many people know that.

Creationism, God the Creator

Posted by robertpriddy on June 18, 2007

In the two-part film ‘The Aura of Divinity’ by Richard Bock (ca. 1976) about Sai Baba, he is there reported as having said: “Today evil is so widespread that humanity would be destroyed in a nuclear holocaust in the event of a world war.It is to prevent such a catastrophe that this avatar has come to raise human consciousness and save the world from disaster.” Aura of Divinity, Part One.

When Sai Baba was asked how the universe was created, he spoke of the eternal divine principle: “There was no one to know who I am till I created this world at my pleasure with one word. Immediately, mountains rose up. Immediately, rivers started running, earth below and sky overhead. Oceans, seas, land and watershed. Sun moon and desert sand came up from nowhere to prove My existence. Then came all forms of mankind, animals, birds… hearing, speaking and flying. The first place went to man and My knowledge was put into his mind.” from ‘The Aura of Divinity’ Part Two.

See also scan from Kasturi’s ‘Loving God’ where Sai Baba corrected his translator Kasturi claiming he was not just the creator of the world but was the Creator of the Universe

It so happens that the above words were voiced by Prof. N. Kasturi, Sathya Sai’s official biographer. They are actually a selectively edited (bastardised) version of an important part of the Veda, which are scriptures of great antiquity claimed by most Indian spiritual leaders to be at least 10,000 years old. If so they predate not only the Bible, but also the biblical (and the Kentucky Creationist Museum) account of the Creation (supposedly only 6,000 years ago).

That Sathya Sai Baba was a creationist, and held that he was the Creator Himself is beyond any question as it is published in the book of his official biographer, Professor N. Kasturi. The scan above on the right is from the biography of his close devotee. Kasturi, who summed up the extent of SB’s claims of Godhead.

…in a discourse, Baba said: “It is beyond you to know how or why I create things. The objects that I create, I create them by my will, the same way I created the universe.Quoted in ‘The Week’ 27th November, 20065. (NOTE: ‘Beyond you’ here referreds to Mr. H. Narasimhaiah, the former Vice Chancellor of the Bangalore University, who has requested for an interview so as to check the facts about how Sai Baba created things.)

Bt comparison, the world’s first creationist museum in Kentucky is small beer, but worth noting. It claims:
Remember, before the sin of Adam, the world was perfect. All creatures were vegetarian.” Yes, Tyrannosaurus rex was vegetarian and lived beside humans. Grand Canyon park guides state that the canyon took more than a million years to form and cuts through rocks that span more than a billion years. “Young Earth” creationists say no to that, saying the rocks were all left behind by flood waters at the time of Noah. Admitting the Bible does not mention dinosaurs as such, Ken Ham supposes that dinosaurs were still around at the time of the flood. He figures that two of each may have been taken onto the Ark (newly hatched ones which are fairly small). But he thinks Noah did not carry kangaroos to Australia because the flood waters caused the continents to drift apart very fast. Mr Marsh considers the fossilised remains of man’s ancestors to be falsifications: “There are no such things. Humans are basically as you see them today. Those skeletons they’ve found, what’s the word? They could have been deformed, diseased or something. I’ve seen people like that running round the streets of New York.”
