Puttaparthi Master Plan Pie in the Sky

Over the last couple of years we have reported several times about the grandiose Puttaparthi development plans proposed by various ardent devotees and dignitaries, some in positions of power. Now, yet again, news has emerged that, in spite of the auspicious tenth death day celebrations of Sathya Sai Baba, the development plans are going nowhere. Local reporter Ravi P Benjamin of The Hans India (an up and coming English-language daily newspaper, published in the Indian States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh as well as in New Delhi) voices serious doubt whether it will amount to much more than a bridge and some river beatification. Ouch! In a recent article, dated November 27 2021, Benjamin paints a rather dismal picture, in spite of the upbeat caption (Tourist potential of Puttaparthi township needs to be tapped). A few quotes:

“…the plan did not have any support from the state government nor was any serious effort made at the state level to take it up with the Union government…”

“…even the Union Ministry of Tourism had never viewed Puttaparthi as a potential tourist centre. Neither had it given substantial funds for its development during the past 40 years…”

“…misfortune is haunting the town and unless the Baba is reborn here, it is unlikely to change the fortunes of what appears to be a god-forsaken land…”

Anantapur: The beautiful spiritual township Puttaparthi shot to International fame when Sathya Sai Baba was alive. Hundreds of foreign devotees of Baba visited the town and as a result, a lot of infrastructure was developed both by the Sathya Sai Central Trust as well as private stakeholders, who viewed the town as having a great potential for tourism development.

Even though the town was a destination for Prime Ministers and Presidents of the country but neither the successive Central and state governments had ever evinced interest in taking advantage of town’s international stature. After the advent of new government in 2019 in the state, at the district collector’s level there was an initiative to make some beginning in this regard and several departments had been roped in and a committee was formed with the officers and MLA Sridhar with an announcement of Rs 1,000 crore development and investment plan with tourism and private parties stakes in it. At the outset the Rs 1,000 crore investment plan was a proposal sent to the Central government for its consideration. But the plan did not have any support from the state government nor was any serious effort made at the state level to take it up with the Union government.

Prime Ministers Atal Bihari Vajpay and P V Narasimha Rao and Manmohan Singh were visitors to Prashanthi Nilayam and top industrialists in the country were devotees of the Baba and they keep visiting the town but even the Union Ministry of Tourism had never viewed Puttaparthi as a potential tourist centre. Neither had it given substantial funds for its development during the past 40 years.

Except for the bridge built over Chitravati river at a cost of Rs 18 crore of late nothing really happened. Local MLA Sridhar said that the Piligrim town will be developed on the lines of Icon City in Mantralaya. Sathya Sai National Park, underground drainage and underground power cables and decent roads were proposed. An R&B circuit guest house, food park and Yoga Wellness Centre was proposed as part of a Rs 1,000 crore plus development project. APIIC promised to provide 100 acres of land for Food Park. Roads and Buildings department would invest Rs 350 crore on the 31.5 km ring road development covering Manillakunta Cross, Kothacheruvu, Puttaparthi and Bukkapatnam mandals. Already 60 acres had been identified for the Yoga Wellness Centre.

Of course, Chitravati riverbed beautification has been taken up and as part of the project, a bridge has been built.

Sathya Sai devotees and citizens of the town and hundreds of devotees who made Puttaparthi their home are a disappointed lot as scores of VVIPs and VIPs interest in the town too did not change the fate of the town with a promising destiny.

One devotee, Sharmila from the north India who made the town her home said, Kerala is fortunate to be called ‘God’s own Country’ but misfortune is haunting the town and unless the Baba is reborn here, it is unlikely to change the fortunes of what appears to be a god-forsaken land, she muttered.

Light At the End of the Tunnel?

So, is Benjamin right and is this plan another flight of fancy, based on the supposed worldwide attraction of the late Sathya Sai Baba? God knows the selfproclaimed avatar was wont to predict a golden future not only for the planet but for India and his abode, Prasanthi Nilayam, in particular and his alleged birthplace Puttaparthi (and himself) especially. The whole world would flock to him/it, no doubt about it. Yet, many of his predictions have long since proven to be false. Now, Benjamin is perhaps not the most discerning or independent journalist around, judging from his unquestioning stance in his interview with Rathnakar, Baba’s nephew, only 3 days earlier, on the occasion of SSB’s 96th birthday celebrations (Strange, as the man is dead for a decade already!)

Anantapur: Sathya Sai Trust continues service activities relentlessly (thehansindia.com) Still, Benjamin has the inside track, it seems. Which does not bode well for the overgrown hamlet in the middle of, well, nowhere. At least for now, neither Puttaparthi nor Prasanthi Nilayam figure in the Top 25 of tourist attractions in Andhra Pradesh on Holidify (Holidify Andhra Pradesh Top destinations Places-to-visit). God-forsaken, devotee Sharmila muttered. Abandoned by man, I would say.

Sathya Sai Baba birthday anniversary 23/11/2017

Sathya Sai Baba was almost certainly not born on November 23, 1926, which falsity has been spread throughout his life. Regardless of the only documentary evidence about his age, the authorities of Prashanthi Nilayam are now celebrating the anniversary of his false date of birth! An article in the Deccan Herald by E.S.L. Narasimhan – politician and governor of Andhra Pradesh, we read:  “If atomic knowledge is what a man pursues as his ultimate-goal, beyond his most subtle instincts, then the Vedas are the bedrock of this Atma Vidya and thus man’s best and most reliable ally. (E.S.L. Narasimhan -politician and governor of Andhra Pradesh)
That the Vedas has a shred of what we know today as “‘atomic knowledge” so this self-important dilettante with no academic or scientific qualifications is simply trying to increase tourism to Puttaparthi in which Andhra Pradesh has invested a lot in this since Sai Baba ceased to live.

This man is no relation of the erudite and famous journalist and editor V.K. Narasimhan who I knew very well indeed and who was very close to Sai Baba for about two decades. He wrote on. “The two-day event is witnessing mass recitation of Vedas by over 15,000 disciples of Sathya Sai Baba, among which 600 are those participating from 42 countries as a part of his 92nd birth anniversary.” (see http://www.saibaba-x.org.uk/10/AY.htm)
(Comment) 15,000 devotees for birthday sounds very small indeed compared to previous years when the fake ‘avatar’ was alive; but even sounds smaller when we consider that numbers are usually inflated by the powers-that-be! The 70th birthday was said to have had 3 million visitors but this was denied by the ashram engineer, Mr. Ashoka, who made clear that the total capacity of the Hillview Stadium was not more than 250,000. It was packed on the birthday, while most of the remainder of the ashram complex was almost deserted!

He continued: “Leading scientists from India and abroad who have done extensive research on Vedas are participating in this program as speakers. The relevance of the Vedas in modern times, within and outside of India and  Vedic science on agriculture & environment: a remedy to overcome food shortage was also discussed. Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan was the chief guest for the inaugural session and he exhorted everyone to understand the ultimate goal, that being liberation. “One has to respect different paths and faiths and recognise them as valid as long as they do not extinguish the flame of unity,” said the Governor quoting Bhagawan, and urged the people to work towards the greater need of the day, Unity.”
(Comment) Which truly leading scientist would bother to study the Vedas, none are named and therefore that they are ‘leading’ in any field must be highly doubtful.  Of course, Indian scientists can often be pro forma believers in all the supposed greatness of the primitive religious speculation, prescriptions and obeisances in the Vedas. So the rest is an attempt to make the vedas seem somewhat relevant to science (which was not developed until  long after the Vedas were written and then in Greece, not India).

‘The Secret Swami’: A resumé for latecomers to the exposé

The BBC film ‘Secret Swami’, shown to an audience of millions in Britain on June 17th, 2004, was seen on BBC World in over 225 million homes in almost every country (bar USA). It is a gripping documentary masterpiece, rated pick of the week by all UK national newspapers. Since 2000, Sai Baba followers have had no excuse for not investigating the truth about him. In 2003 Denmark’s national TV sent a documentary ‘Seduced by Sai Baba‘, seen by millions in Denmark, Norway and Australia, with testimonies on his sexual abuses. Top Sai Baba leaders in Denmark and Australia made unavailing threats of legal action in attempts to stop the airing.

Taking this matter further, BBC’s 1 hour film ‘The Secret Swami’ confined itself to four areas: 1) his alleged ‘materialisation miracles’. 1) accusations through many years of Sai Baba’s sexual molestation of young males. 2) his complicity in police executions in his private quarters on June 6, 1993. 4) Cover-ups by him and the leadership of his worldwide organization, and by successive Indian governments, of major criminal allegations. 

The film is most credible, revealing the many experiences with Sai Baba of a former long-term devotee family whose lives were ruined for many years by Sai Baba’s most despicable and threatening pedophile sexual abuse of their son (Alaya Rahm). One must see this to understand the authenticity of the accounts of this family and another ex-devotee who was pressured into oral sex in 1976 by this most unlikely ‘God Incarnate’. Even so, the BBC could only show a tiny fraction of their 80 hours of film footage with many persons, reportedly including other sexually abused young men and boys. This is the clear message left in the minds of sensible viewers who have not been indoctrinated with the insupportable avatar claims of perfection, purity and omnipotence.

It is remarkable how few devotees spoke out to defend Sai Baba from the many allegations of sexual abuse and the massive corroborative evidence available on the web. Sai Baba always insisted his devotees should ‘See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’, which was the perfect way of stopping them from investigating the facts about him. Most evidently did not make even the most superficial inquiries for many years, though a considerable fall off of members in his organization began and increased in time, showing that many grew convinced of their truth.

From 2004 onwards, Sai Baba gave far fewer interviews to followers, eventually deteriorating visibly until his 85th birthday celebration where he was wooden in appearance and movement, it since having been revealed that he was being drugged alternatively with sleeping pills and stimulants until his hospitalization and ignominious death in April 2011.

FAKING OF LINGAM ‘MATERIALIZATION’ FULLY EXPOSED

Sai Baba was filmed faking the ‘birth of a lingam’ (egg-like spheroid made of gold) from his stomach through his mouth. The clear BBC film showed that he only vomited water, and the lingam was held in a towel. He was evidently so poorly that he did not even pretend to bring it out of his mouth this time, and collapsed on camera after the trial of his obvious faking under the close-up TV camera. After this, no shadow of doubt can remain in the minds of sensible people (i.e. if not infected with the Sai belief mania) that Sai Baba was a major deceiver. He was also a very, very rich and politically influential one too. Murders that took place in his bedroom in 1993 were also investigated in the documentary.

A FORMER HOME MINISTER OF AP SUPPORTED REINVESTIGATION

The former Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh, V.P.B. Nair,  made it clear that the murders in 1993 in Sai Baba’s bedroom (while he stood by) were cold-blooded. He stated that the police reports about the four intruders they executed were all sheer lies. He intended to support the reopening of the quashed case. By rights, Sai Baba should have been called as a witness, but he formerly managed to avoid it through a Government made up largely of devotees, who quashed the CBI investigation before it could publish its findings. Sathya Sai Baba was under major suspicion of being an accomplice to the fact and active in the ensuing cover up. This was documented in great detail by his chief accuser in India, the skeptic B. Premanand, who made this evident in an interview with BBC. Before he died in 2009, Premanand had survived attempts on his life, several severe beatings and three recent burglaries by Sai Baba followers. It is know that he has an extremely compromising photograph (and the negative) of Sai Baba engaged in oral sex with a student. Protection for the student was to be sought in the Supreme Court in case lodged with the High Court.Due to governmental and judicial cover-up agents at top level, no further legal process of any kind involving Sai Baba could be instigated a coming case.

DUPED INTO DENIAL, THE PROPAGANDIST Dr. M. GOLDSTEIN

The top leader of the world-wide Sai Organisation and close associate of Sai Baba, Dr. Michael Goldstein from California, told the BBC interviewer, “We believe that Sri Sathya Sai Baba is Jesus Christ. Sri Sathya Sai Baba is Buddha. Sri Sathya Sai Baba is the founder of all of the world’s religions. Sri Sathya Sai Baba has always been God.”

A hidden camera was later used to film him since the BBC team were by then aware that Goldstein presides over hidden agendas and an organisation which is wholly unaccountable to anyone and actively covers-up anything that could cast a shadow on him and illustrates how he covers up for Sai Baba, a ‘secret swami’ from the viewpoint all but his inside circle. Dr. Goldstein came across very badly indeed as going back on his word and as a most distasteful ranting and finger-stabbing person – another comical performance of his blinded and hypocritical faith!

HARD ROCK TIGRETT’S SOFTENED BRAIN 

Isaac Tigrett is a multi-millionaire businessman (founder of the ‘Hard Rock Café meatburger empire) who donated US$39 million to Sai Baba in the 1990s for the hi-tech hospital near the ashram in Puttaparthi, South India. (But $19 million just disappeared’!) He performed on the BBC film as an egocentric fanatic, laughing quite out-of-place in a manic way and admitting firmly that he believes the sex abuse allegations are true and it makes no difference whatever to his faith! He stated, amazingly, that Sai Baba could go out and murder someone tomorrow without it affecting his faith! This seems to be how the “human values” which Sai Baba and his huge machinery propaganda to teach it turns out to be in practice. Tigrett Everyone with any conscience and decency who sees this must surely recoil in revulsion?

A SUPER-ARROGANT INDIAN MINISTER EXPOSED HIMSELF

The Indian ex-Minister of Human Resources and former Minister of Education, the Sai devotee Murali Manohar Joshi (who arranged for the Indian Government to finance Hindu astrology!), had agreed to a BBC interview. He had evidently not expected to be put any tough questions! His reaction was that of an arrogant and ignorant bully behaving as the threatening big shot he is towards the BBC’s young lady interviewer…. a great ‘example’ of what is behind the fronts of most Sai officials and leaders when questioned.

THE SAI MOVEMENT’S UNDERSIDE EXPOSED FOR WHAT IT REALLY IS

This the most hard-hitting, engaging and personalized study gets right behind the thick smoke-screen of secrecy and security… it would convince anyone (who has no investments or attachments to lose)! Sai Baba looks ghastly in many clips – we now realize him to be a sick and lying cheat seen with great and indisputable close-up clarity on the BBC film of the lingam scam!

Those young men with the courage to speak out about being sexually abused were constantly maligned on the Internet by various Sai followers (there are dozens of instances of this heartlessness to be found). Those who questioned Sai Baba as an omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent Godhead of perfect purity were thrown out of the Organisation without even a letter or phone call! From being a largely unquestioned guru movement, the Sai communities retracted into a narrowing and ever more secretive and censorious cult, yet one with such political and financial power in India that it was protected at the highest levels of society from any public investigation or legal proceedings. This changed after April 2011, when a huge fall from acceptance followed on his premature and closely guarded death, then with the the discoveries of huge hoarded treasures hidden in his very secure palatial apartment, even under his 5 by 5 meter bed, and subsequent police actions which caught out the Sai Trust while siphoning away large funds from the treasure trove.

Strong Sai Baba sex abuse testimony from ex-‘form boy’

Another communication from the Indian ex-student using the pen-name ‘Raman Sharma’ (whose full identity is known to us with certainty but who is in need of continued protection from aggressive Sai Baba devotees). This testimony makes it evident that the extent of Sathya Sai Baba’s reported sexual activities, and his true nature behind ‘the curtains and doors of shame’ is far worse than has generally been recognized.

Nice to receive your email. I do hope you are also forwarding them to Robert Priddy. In this email I wish to bring you some of the personal opinion Sai Baba had about preachers of other religions which I have heard him repeat many times to select few form boys (including myself, of course). Many times he did speak these opinions of his personally to us when he or his close servitors sodomized others.

Firstly, Swami was of the firm opinion that Jesus Christ was a homosexual and that he had sex frequently with other twelve disciples or amongst themselves.I have never heard him say anything about the controversy regarding Mary Magdalene as it is difficult for him to accept normal heterosexuality.

Secondly, Sai Baba held the view that lord Krishna had homosexual relations with Arjuna and they were therefore very close friends.

Thirdly, he brings the same associations to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba of whom he professes to be a reincarnation.

Fourthly, according to swami, Sri Aurobindo had sexual relations with Mother of the Aurobindo ashram and when Sai Baba visited them in the 1940s, he took Sri Aurobindo to task for leading such a life.
Similarly, he firmly believed that Swami Vivekananda had sexual relations with sister Nivedita and Yogananda had such relations with Daya Mata. He also blamed Iskon Prabhupada for bringing promiscuity in his kirtans and open mixing of men and women.

Since my eighth standard I had sex with few of his form boys and they all told me that swami called it ‘Love’ and only the “invisible Swami” knows and not the physical swami. I am ashamed of my life then. I always thought that I was a sinner, till my post graduation after becoming a form boy myself. Swami knew of my relations with one or two close form boys.

I remember one elder brother who used to hug me and kiss me a lot when I was in eighth at Parthi. He was very violent while having sex but i developed a feeling of attraction towards him. One day He pulled my organ very hard. It started to bleed and he ran away. I felt like fainting yet, I collected myself and went to Mr. Sooryanarayana, the office accountant and told him that I had fallen down while urinating and so was bleeding. He gave me an ointment and after some days of applying it, I became normal.  I really started enjoying this kind of sex in hostel after ninth Class.  Our batch had many form boys and one boy who was close to swami then opened his underwear in front of me,of course it was strange for I had considered him pure.  A teacher Mr. Shailesh Srivastava spoke many time in our class as parayana on Baba saying that Swami was beyond reproach even if he commits adultery or murder as he is God and we must have full faith in him always. Though I developed such habits, I still considered myself a sinner and thought myself purified whenever I got a chance to hand him a letter or to touch his feet.(it was only much later n my post graduation first year that i came to know that swami was doing all such things with close form boys and I started t feel the unnaturalness of the whole thing). Consequently, when after my own investigation and further knowledge it was made clear to me that I had come toot near fire and must go back. I was left all alone in the world…

Let me tell you I am ashamed of my past but I would like secrecy for the sake of my family and myself. Already I have had few problems with the members of the organisations. I will reveal further as I feel people must know what creature SB is but I do not wish to divulge my name or whereabouts for the sake of my family.

I had given up the dirty habit I developed at Parthi. I do visit the Shirdi Sai temple as I feel that Shri Shirdi Sai Baba must not be confused with Sathya (or should I say ASATHYA, FALSE Sai Baba of Puttaparthi). One fine day, I got the Inspiration in a Shirdi Baba temple. I had a very strong experience before that to burn this dirty habit in his dhuni and focus my thoughts on leading a good life.  I am sorry as I feel I will hurt many sentiments but truth is truth and must be made known.

The depth of self-examination of this unfortunate victim of Sai Baba’s terrible college regime is unrelenting and his admirable honesty is plain to see. It gives a taste of the personal problems with which so many former students of Sathya Sai Baba have to struggle – in similar ways to the countless victims of Roman Catholic and other sectarian sexual abuses on a major scale. There is no wonder that most of them are so far unready and unwilling to stand forth with their evidence, considering the current hateful climate against defectors and dissidents among so many remaining followers. Above all, since ex-students have been murdered, virtually under the nose of Sathya Sai Baba who knew all that was happening while they were relentlessly executed in his bedroom apartment, it is not safe to speak up in India and may not be so for a long time yet. We in the exposé have long known of such matters through this kind of testimony, only a portion of which has been posted previously. At some date in future the Sathya Sai Baba viper’s nest will be exposed to a much wider extent than today, and large-scale financial compensation may well be sought eventually.

It is, moreover, known from an impeccable research report into sexual and physical abuse in India that homosexual child abuse is rife in India. Study on Child Abuse: INDIA 2007  About this damning report, the BBC commented: “A study into child abuse in India has found that more than half the children questioned said they had been sexually abused. Researchers spoke to more than twelve thousand children. Two-thirds said they’d experienced physical abuse. India’s Minister for Child Development, Renuka Chowdury, called the findings disturbing and said it was time to end the conspiracy of silence surrounding child abuse.” (Damian Grammaticus) The extremely revealing research was commissioned by the Ministry of Women and Child Development of the Government of India and carried out by independent researchers. Fifty-three per cent of India’s forty million children claim to have been sexually abused, mostly by a person known to them! That is over 20 million child victims!. But most of the children never reported their trauma, such is the taboo around the subject. Two-thirds of the children said they’d suffered physical abuse, in most cases being beaten by a parent or teacher. The government is now drawing up a new child protection law, but too late for millions whose childhood has already been lost. Those engaged in bringing the facts to light about Sathya Sai Baba have long been pointing out the extreme taboo around the subject of child sex abuse, especially the many abuses so widely and credibly alleged by many of the injured parties about Sathya Sai Baba’s sexual use of boys and young men.

Dr. Naresh Bhatia was a very close devotee and servitor of Sai Baba through many years and told the Daily Telegraph reporter, Mick Brown – plus various others who contacted him after he was banned from the ashram – that he had been a sexual partner of Sathya Sai Baba for years. He stated that he knew well that Sathya Sai had the sexual use of at least several of his college boys daily through many years! But because the prestige of so many gullible and self-seeking Indian politicians and judges, they have done everything to cover up the facts and have quashed all investigations and even a Supreme Court petition. Even Dr. Bhatia has – after physical threats – fallen silent and has been ‘persuaded’ by Sai officials not to dare to speak out further.

Suicides for ‘not getting Sai darsan’ etc.

Deaths by accident, suicides and murders have occurred quite regularly at Sathya Sai Baba ashrams or in connection with his darshan (or lack of it). Even his closest servitors have suffered unnecessarily and died in great pain (Prof. Kasturi, V.K. Narasimhan, Kutumb Rao), while his biggest donor’s wife, Barbara Sinclair, died in a taxi crash on her way to see Sathya Sai Baba who had called her specifically from the US. A lady was slashed to death in her new room at Prashanthi Nilayam, and a number of foreigners have been reported as having disappeared without trace over the years. Three devotees died in an easily avoidable accident when the dome of the Spiritual Heritage Museum came crashing down on them. One of his favorite students died in a car wreck, another’s body was found burned in Puttaparti (see Cover-up of Murder at the Sathya Sai College, Puttaparthi, and so on and on. Not to forget the murder of two of his servitors and subsequent execution of the four devotees in his own bedroom in 1993! India’s government has spent billions of dollars (some – incl. the BBC – report  it may eventually amount to 50 billion) on the Commonwealth Games – wealth that should instead have been for the common people instead in this land of the greatest human calamities. The Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh and his minions (himself a devout follower – no less – of the self-proclaimed omnipotent God Incarnate Sathya Sai Baba), have constantly ignored calls to clean up the filth prevailing in the competitors’ quarters, and now are trying to save the games. Britain has decided to send its sportspeople there – despite the lawlessness, unsafe infrastructure, prevalent contagions and the constant mindless beating up in public by police of innocents (not excluding foreigners), not least because they do not want to lost valuable business contracts and alienate the Indian ‘brown sahibs’ further. Commonwealth countries should rather tell India to clean up their disastrously brutal police force, their corrupt and elitist judiciary and the sheer deceit practised by some Indian gurus they actually protect to the full (i.e. Sai Baba). His only concern is to bash and harass in every possible way every dissident of his admired gurus, Sathya Sai Baba, convicted murderer and rapist Swami Premananda, Ammachi the heavy-duty hugging matron, the long-expired Ramana Maharshi and such others.

Supreme Court of India cover-up: petition ad Sathya Sai Baba rejected

Evidence and documentary proof of failed petition to the Supreme Court of India. The attempt to prosecute Sathya Sai Baba a decade ago was rejected in a most corrupt manner by a Sai Baba worshipping judiciary:-

In what has been described by all observers as a “shocking” decision, the Supreme court refused to even hear the petition yesterday.
The Judge who heard it last week in the preliminary , Justice Agarwal (who said “these things have been going on for decades” ) was scheduled to be hearing the petition. In the last minute, he was suddenly transferred to another case by the Chief justice Anand, a Sai Baba folower, who appointed his right hand man, a corrupt judge called Lahoti to hear the case.

As soon as Kamini Jaiswal and Prashant Kumar started opening the case, this judge started posing all sorts of absolutely stupid questions, with NO LEGAL BASIS.

Here is what happened as recounted to me by Prashant Kumar.

Kamini Jaiswal : May I proceed with the case introduction ?

Judge Lahoti : Wait….there is a problem with the affidavit of the petitioner, I want it clarified.

Kamini : There is absolutely nothing wrong, the affidavit is perfectly fine.

Judge Lahoti : Why is the affidavit dated April 5th 2001 and you are coming up only now with the petition , in May ?

Kamini : The affidavit was signed by the petitioner and had to be mailed, along with his petition. The petition had to be mailed to him first so that he could sign it.

Judge Lahoti : How can that take more than a month ? This is an old affidavit , then.

Kamini : If you notice the address of the petitioner, he is in the United States, and mail takes a few days to reach there and then back here to India. We filed the petition more than 10 days back, citing reasons for urgent mention, and according to the court order, the case was posted for today. That is why we are here now.

Judge Lahoti : Well…it seems that the petitioner is in USA,it is my mistake. Anyway there are other reasons I want to clarify this petition. Why are you approaching the Supreme court ? We don’t want to hear this petition, please go to the High court in Andhra Pradesh.

Kamini : The reasons are clearly mentioned in the petition, and we are filing the petition under Article 32 of the constitution, which gives us the right to come to the Supreme court.

Judge Patnaik (second judge) : Why was the petition not filed in the Andhra High court under Article 226 ? Go to the High court.

Kamini : That is what I am coming to, Article 32 and Article 226, both grant the same rights in the Supreme court and High court respectively…..either option can be pursued. If I may proceed with my argument, I will explain why…

Judge Lahoti : No… go to the High court…

Kamini : Can I at least have a hearing ?

Judge Patnaik : ok.. go on…

(Kamini begins her arguments, and starts detailing all the media reports about Sai Baba, the statements of sexual molestation, etc….. when she reaches the point about UNESCO…. she is interrupted)

Judge Patnaik : This court doesn’t want to hear this petition, go to the Andhra High court.

Kamini : But I have not even come to the point explaining why we choose to file under Article 32 in Supreme court…

Judge Lahoti : You can do the same under Article 226 in Andhra Court…

Kamini : But that exactly is what I was going to say, about why I cannot do that there, can I please continue ?

Judge Patnaik : Why are you here, why don’t you go to Andhra ?

Kamini : It is clearly stated in the petition, and I am coming to that…

Judge Lahoti : what grounds ?

Kamini : The respondent Sai Baba has a 60,000 million rupee empire in Andhra Pradesh, with total control over the entire state government… how can we go there ? There are also lot of other political influences …

Judge Patnaik : No, we are not going to allow this petition here, go to the Andhra High court..

Kamini : But if this was the issue, we could have been informed 10 days back, we were asked to come today…

Judge Patnaik : We are going to dismiss the petition.

Kamini : On what grounds ?

Judge Lahoti : We do not have to cite any reason for dismissing it..

Kamini : Can you at least give a ruling “with liberty to go to Andhra High court” ?

Judge Patnaik : No I am not going to do that.

Kamini : But that is what you were saying all along , if you want us to go to the Andhra High court, and if that is the reason you are not hearing this petition, can you please put it in writing ? We can then take it to the Andhra High court .

Judge Patnaik : No , I just asked you why you are here, and said that you should be in the Andhra High court. I am not going to include that in the ruling.

Kamini : Can we at least withdraw the petition from this court, and approach the Andhra High court ?

Judge Lahoti : you could approach the Andhra High court if you want to, but we are going to call this petition “dismissed”, and not allow you to withdraw it.

Judge Patnaik : Petition dismissed, no reasons are given by this court. That is the ruling .

As we can clearly see, this “hearing” was rigged and blatantly violating all legal norms.

The whole proceeding took less than 10 min… with the judges constantly interrupting Kamini Jaiswal…. and repeatedly raising irrelevant questions, without giving her a chance to explain the legal reasons why she was representing in the supreme court.

That judge Lahoti is notorious as a “Chief justice Anand’s hit man”, who had been cleverly appointed at the last minute, replacing Justice Barucha and Justice Agarwal, who heard it last week.

It is very very obvious why they were so eager to “dismiss” the petition, without a complete hearing, and also not give a ruling that we could approach Andhra High court, although they stated it orally.

They want us to go to Andhra High court, and everybody knows what will happen there. There will not even be a formality of a hearing in Andhra.

The scan that proves definitively that Sathya Sai Baba was protected by the Supreme Court of India and could not be tried, let alone convicted.

Comment:
Worse yet, shortly after their rejection of the Petition lodged by Hari Sampath, the Supreme Court of India deleted all public documentation of it having been made. The British Ambassador to India attempted to get confirmation of the rejection by the Supreme Court but there was no record of it! Nonetheless, a copy of the formal rejection paper was preserved and a scan of that attested document is here:-

At that time, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh had once been none less than the private driver for Sathya Sai Baba ! One can imagine the chances of a petition to the AP High Court. In a mail from Basava Premanand to the Danish film director Øjvind Kyrø, who produced the Danish National TV Documentary ‘Seduced’ (by Sai Baba), he stated:

However, despite sustained efforts to re-open the case, Premanand’s petition was totally disregarded right up until his death last year. This shows the pull that Sathya Sai Baba and his minions had in the corridors of power in India, especially the top of the Indian Government (which they still have).

Sathya Sai Baba’s power

Sai Baba has gathered a culture around himself and his ashrams, a highly protective ‘charmed circle’ of servitors, officials and privileged devotees, within which his word is gospel. No one who remains within its social and mental confines ever ventures to doubt anything he says, for he is to be regarded as totally infallible, even if one does not understand what he means or why he says it.

These people willingly act as a ring of bulwarks against anyone who wishes to get near to question, challenge or investigate the simplest matter.  The Indian government has provided him with armed guards, in addition to the undercover security force he is known to employ at considerable expense. This full-blown personality cult has the full support of the Indian government and many authorities in India, including most of the press, which has gradually been warned off or bought off by his minions. Not only the police, but also the CID and CBI were unable even to question him about murders in his bedroom apartment due to protection by the Home and Prime Ministers at the time.., persons whose prestige had long been invested in their being long-term followers and worshippers of Sathya Sai Baba. ‘The Statesman’ reported”:-   “A 1993 incident in which police shot dead four of his followers and his attendants murdered two was hushed up with intervention from the top the then home minister, SB Chavan. In short, Sathya Sai Baba ruled the roost totally for decades in his independent, ‘township’ or fiefdom under his full legal and physical control. Though his word is still gospel to the blind believers, he no longer has the ability to control and manipulate, which powers have increasingly been usurped by those who run things while he is a partially senile invalid. His claim to be the Godhead of all Deities who is totally all-knowing – if remotely true – would mean that he could have stopped the murders and the police cold-blooded executions within his fiefdom. However, in his discourse some time afterward, he virtually justified them, and further told how he knew what would befall his attendants in advance, warning them (which he claimed they did not heed). The world will draw its own conclusions from this together with all the published facts… despite the massive campaign to confuse the issue and cover-up to an extent probably unparalleled in any democracy today.

How Sathya Sai Baba can avoid being accountable to anyone for anything

Sai Baba is virtually never held to account to his face for anything he says. Most people who qualify to get near him already have too much respect, awe or out-and-our fear to question anything he says or does in any but the most positive or else superficially questioning manner. This is not to say that there have been absolutely no exceptions. There are doubtless those who only pretend subservience, while being self-willed and devious. Most officials in his various institutions who are often in his presence have the ‘healthy respect’ for him, his will and his word that a schoolboy has for an unpredictably punishing headmaster. Now, is this not what one would expect of God too? In all major religions, God is not accountable for any kind of error or wrong doing. As long as one really believes that Sathya Sai is God Almighty himself on two feet, or something near to that, one thereby surrenders all chance of understanding anything about him. Add to this the indisputable fact that Sai Baba does not WANT anyone to be able to understand him… almost everything he says and does demonstrates this! He also is ever telling people in private interviews to keep things secret, which is a near paranoid precaution for controlling what is generally known about him.

Anything a follower does not understand about Sathya Sai Baba – especially anything untoward – is explained by any of a set of fall-back positions, such as: “We human beings cannot understand Swami’s Divine actions”, “The ways of God are inscrutable”, “It is Swami’s Divine Play”. “Swami is testing us to see if our faith in Him is sound” and other such excuses. This goes for everything he says which is recognisably untrue, vague, ambiguous, at odds with his own teachings, self-contradictory, improbable, nasty, disgusting or outright criminal. This is what makes the Sathya Sai ashrams and main movement an unmistakable cult run by a secretive and clandestine clique – many delude by others merely cynical.

Of course, one cannot understand what he says or why if one has given up the attempt to discover the truth of it beforehand, and this ‘giving up’ is to ‘surrender to his Divine will’. It implies that one never may question anything he says or does, without exception! Not even in the privacy of one’s thoughts! Sathya Sai Baba either ignores or fobs off anything remotely like a penetrating question that may still be put to him by some daring person who has slipped through the net into an interview but who is not yet fully obedient to the Divine Will.

Considerable investigation is required to remove or dispel mere appearances, the more so when tight secrecy and cover-up is a constant factor. No persons are able to observe Sathya Sai Baba’s behaviour all the time, which makes it all the harder  it is very hard to get to the true state of affairs in many matters. Sai Baba exhorts all to be unquestioning believers in him and had instituted throughout his institutions, organization and ashrams a blinkered self-programming and self-denigrating mentality to maintain the emotional dependence of his devotees. After some years under his aegis, the task is almost insuperable for persons without considerable personality resources to fall back upon. The figurative ‘smashing of the mirror’ of one’s own preconceptions and even a dear part of one’s self-image (i.e. that one could be deceived so long and so much) is simply too demanding for those who have devoted their lives to delusions.

The very close servitor – the editor of Baba’s journal for 20 years – V.K. Narasimhan told me that Sai Baba said to him one day: “One thing I cannot do is to make a person choose to do good.” That is part of the reason why Narasimhan – a pragmatist – did not reject or leave Sathya Sai Baba when the executions of the four intruding devotees were organised by Sathya Sai Baba ‘s younger brother, Janakiramiah (since deceased)! It seemed to Narasimhan – who had often told me that he was most certainly not omnipotent – that Baba could not even influence his own younger brother! This viewpoint was supposed to absolve Sathya Sai Baba from responsibility as accomplice to the murders, neither being able to dictate the actions of those Sai Central Trust members and ashram officials, nor those of his younger brother Janaki Ramiah, who blackmailed the police into shooting down the four young men – trapped and virtually unarmed intruders – in cold blood, one by one in a huge hail of bullets. Sathya Sai Baba’s power is worldly, arising from his protection by all those followers from his security servitors right up to Prime Minister, Presidents, Supreme and High Court judges and many others in India.

Comment: One sees here again the most doubtful role of the Puttaparthi police in this whole episode, which is why the investigation was soon taken entirely out of their hands and given to the CBI, which worked on the case effectively, Before the report was due, the two main officers conducting the investigation were suddenly posted away somewhere else… one can easily figure the reason. Because not log after that, the entire official investigation was quashed (by Home Minister S.B. Sathya Sai Baba exposed by German person

The dispute over the divinity of Sathya Sai Baba

No master of the Indian kind has aroused so much hope and expectation in such large crowds of people as has Sai Baba. With his “miracles” – materializations staged before thousands of supporters,- he binds in the psyche of the believing masses. The religious experiences can be impressive when so much captured spiritual energy and healing force from around him may be going on. Sai Baba is an authority for tens of thousands.

Probably, but no other master has disappointed so abysmally those who came to him, as seen in the report compiled by Faye and David Bailey – “The Findings”. The Bailey couple glorified Sai Baba in their earlier books. They later suffered traumatic experiences, and after many conversations with people who did so too, they collected reports and observations of the disillusioned. Their reports document harrowing experiences of the many victims who had thought they had “found God” – after a life of unquestioning devotion to that they were cheated.

The love of Sai Baba was rejected by most dissidents due to observation that Sai Baba’s “miracles” are pretty unprofessional tricks. From a distance, the trick difficult or impossible be to see  – as I experienced too.  The throng of the faithful wonder at every so-called materialization and acknowledge all the ashes created from nothing with applause. Many who get close to him  that he seem to see him to create ash from nothing (from his right hand). However, he clearly carries the ash in pill form in his left hand from which the. The ashes “materialise”.

What weighs heavier for devout disciples than these tricks are reports of the meeting with Sai Baba by some young male followers, who have told their own personal experiences. A tragic attack by former pupils of Sathya Sai Baba’s college in 1993 led to criticism by political observers who discussed Sai Baba’s ritual of ‘anointing’  of young men, relating it to homosexual inclinations. More recently, reports of sexual abuse by Western and Indian students of Sai Baba provided a broad documentation of the degradation and disappointment.  Western observers’ critical question is, why was Sathya Sai Baba not convicted by Indian courts.

While the management at Sai Baba so far managed to go a long way towards silencing some of the disaffected, the abused have  since begun to organize. Despite their heavy accusations tens of thousands still believe in the divinity of their Master, of his super-human and divine qualities and his miracles which they compare with the miracles of Jesus. Christians reject this comparison. The miracles of Jesus do not remind of the kind of circus where Sai Baba performs miracles almost to entertain the masses while Jesus would have done so for the relief of distressing hardships. All these objections contest the claim of Sai Baba to be the authoritative divine incarnation of our time. But they do not diminish the feeling of success  in Puttaparthi:  Sai Baba is still rallying an army of idealistic-minded and self-sacrificing people who really want only one thing: an encounter with God. But, given the present evidence, how long – we ask ourselves –  will it take to break down their hopes and expectations under the weight of the accusations?

The cover-up for this constantly self-proclaimed God Incarnate and world saviour is to protect the reputation of India’s five Prime Ministers, four Presidents, the judiciary and many top people in India others who had already worshipped this widely accused pedophile, sex abuser and proven ignoramus plus murder accomplice for decades before he was exposed.

Comment: Yet the “facts” were false and the authorities did not car to examine them!

In THE HINDU January 4, 2010  S. Viswanathan wrote: “What significantly differentiates the S.P.S. Rathore case from comparable atrocities of the past is the progressive and healthy shift it has caused in the attitude of the mainstream news media and people, particularly those drawn from the middle classes, to sex-related crimes against women and children. Unlike in the past, this activist concern goes beyond sympathy for the victims. It extends to more substantive and wide-ranging aspects such as the legal rights of the affected, the relevant laws, the law’s delays, the forms of judicial procedure, the adequacy of the sentence awarded to the perpetrators of the crime, and the compensation decreed to the victims or their families.

All this is reflected in the scores of letters from readers that can be read in newspapers, which published on December 22, 2009 a small report on the court verdict that sentenced Rathore to six months imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 1,000 for sexually molesting a 14-year-old girl at Panchkula in Haryana, 19 years ago. “At long last, justice, too little and too late, has seemingly been done to the girl, who was growing into a promising tennis player, when she chose to end her life,” a newspaper quoted a neighbour of the girl’s family as saying. (The sexual assault on the minor took place in 1990 and she committed suicide three years later, unable to bear the harassment and torture her father and brother had to suffer at the instance of the police official, abusing all the power at his command. All that the father and son did was to take the issue to court. The investigation and the proceedings in different courts prolonged the agony of the family for nearly two decades.)

In the weeks following the news report on the verdict thousands of articles, analyses, and pictures in print and online were generated by it. TV channels have vied with one another to take the message to even larger sections of people across the country.

The indifference and failure of Haryana Chief Ministers to get the culprit punished within a reasonable period have been widely deplored. S. Viswanathan”

Note: David Bailey, an accomplished concert pianist, was a very close favourite of Sathya Sai Baba for a number of years, having had more than 100 interviews with him. He and wife (who was chosen for him by Sai Baba) visited many Sai centres throughout the world holding talks at Sathya Sai Baba centres. He wrote books praising Sai Baba, until he learned from students at the Sai colleges – and subsequently from young men and some parents of Sai Baba’s widespread homosexual abuses and molestations which they testified had been forced upon them. Mrs. Faye Bailey had accepted from Peggy Mason of the U.K. to continue the Sai Baba magazine, which had been published for many years by Mason and Ron Laing. After a protracted period of awakening and investigation, Faye and David Bailey ceased to promote Sai Baba in the magazine and instead published a lengthy exposure of Sathya Sai Baba and many of his deceptions and failed or bogus works. This bombshell caused a major fall-off in membership of the Sathya Sai Organization and led to a large number of further allegations and revelations about Sai Baba, his organization, institutions and following. The long document “The Findings” summarized their intensive investigations of Sai Baba’s reported sexual activities and fraudulence claims and activities.

Here are some excerpts with surprising facts that came to light:-

David Bailey: Terry Gallagher was an Australian who spent five, six, seven years – and a (whole) day – with Swami. He was closer than I was with Swami. Then when he left, through having found out the truth of what is going on, I somehow became so close to Swami that for three years I was blind to what was going on… because I had been told what everybody else had been told. And then after our marriage we became even closer and became part of what it termed the inner circle. And when we saw for ourselves what was going on and realised what other people who had been close also had experienced and why they had left, then when we did our world tour last
year, it was disastrous… with so many things that we found.

We went back at Christmas to discover that everything that we had found was totally true; as soon as we got back to England, we had the fraud squad from Scotland Yard, the British Government’s Foreign Office and the Charity Commissioners waiting for us with major investigations, with proven fraud in some cases

..the other thing which we had discovered was this homosexual activity. You know, to start off with we believed (it) was only Swami – shall we say – raising the kundalini within the student. This is what we were told, but then when we realised that it was not… and it was definitely not just Swami – well I have to be open and honest – playing with the students… but asking the student to actually make sexual acts on Swami, including oral sex. It was just ridiculous. And then the students at the college turned to me for help, because this has been going on for years, it is why the assassination attempts occurred… because the students were absolutely sick of him making them do things they didn’t want to do. I am grown up in my attitudes and realistic to realise that around the world many things happen between consenting adults, but when you are in a position of power as headmaster or teacher or guru or whatever you like… to make your students do things they do not wish to do is not acceptable, and also in England – and I believe it is true in Sweden – it is illegal. And if Swami were in England he would be put in prison for twenty years… Now that is my problem because at one of England’s top preparatory schools for children from five to thirteen years old, the Royal family sent their children to this school… and I was suddenly made redundant. I lost my job and they asked me to continue with my job part time only to teach in the classroom – no work in the evenings… even we had performed one musical and they said you may not attend the rehearsals, you can only attend the performance.

I was seen – with Faye – to be going round speaking for Swami. From the police, from the authorities from many countries… they saw David and Faye – and other people too – going to speak for Swami. As a result families would go out to Swami… sons, the young men would be sexually approached and come back, there is even one person in England who has committed suicide and we have stopped another one, we pray, from doing so. But we were seen as agents… that we would be very charming, very nice, persuade people to go – because of my involvement with the college boys so closely they thought that I was just a provider of his sex toys. That has now ruined my career in England because I now have a record of being connected with him.
