The above libel is just one small example of Gerald Moreno’s fanatical personal attacks and character assassination attempts against me. I have only advocated visiting a forum where drugs are discussed, so as to obtain at least a minimum of knowledge about what their use can involve. Some entries are interesting! I have not endorsed the contents of the forum, nor do I advocate the use of LSD-25! But Moreno wants to make me seem to endorse whatever is written there! Absurd, but with malicious intent on his part, as ever against all who disagree with him about Sathya Sai Baba.

My involvement with LSD ended many decades ago, long before John Lennon’s or many other famous persons experiments or outright use of this psychedelic agent. I first took it (as provided for general experimentation by the Minister of Health, Norway) in 1963, and only repeated the experiment twice in subsequent years. I have never advocated the use of LSD! Moreno cannot prove it, and he should take much greater care in what he ‘recklessly’ asserts. He has been decisively confronted by Kevin R.D. WordPress.com informs of copy infringement by Gerald Moreno and deletes those pages

Moreno has illegally posted copyrighted articles of mine from 1987 which I removed from the Internet, and DMCA have accepted my copyright (in contradiction to what Moreno states, knowing full well that the DMCA notice caused wordpress to make him remove those articles from wordpress.com. `See notice from wordpress here:-

Moreno is patently very disturbed, being literally enraged (as his attacks show fully that he is), not least because it has been pointed out to him by Indian legal experts like Basava Premanand that he was, according to Indian law, sexually molested by Sathya Sai Baba when he was oiled “on the lower stomach” in a private interview, i.e. the technique of grooming reported by many young men and even admitted to take place by officials of the Sathya Sai Organization. I have simply reiterated these facts after Moreno has attacked me for having ‘homo-erotic fantasies’ about Sai Baba and similar obnoxious deceptions. Moreno, oil ‘anointing’ of genitals as sexual abuse Yet note the amazing fact that Moreno constantly defended Sathya Sai Baba for years while still believing him to be a sexual abuser! (See more) Further, he defends Swami Premananda, who was convicted of multiple rape and murder and is serving a double life sentence for this in India, as confirmed even after appeal to the highest court. There is evidently something very basically wrong with Moreno’s moral values, such as they are.

Moreno’s false claim, needlessly repeated –  – for he reported how he had been ‘oiled’ by SSB on the ‘lower stomach’, which is known as sexual molestation (unless by a doctor with patient consent) both in India and in most Western countries. Others have stated the same about Moreno, noting his confusion, his gullibility at haveing found God in person, and naivevity about what was done to him and ignorance of and why.

Gerald Moreno’s wildest attack so far?

For several years, Moreno wrote a mass of untruths and attacks about dozens of those who left Sathya Sai Baba because of the sex revelations. His main target at first was Sanjay Dadlani about whom he wrote the most disgusting things, sexual allegations of all kinds – not least naming him a proved pervert – and made very disgusting pictures using Dadlani’s face on a naked overweight woman and as a pig etc. He put up many defamatory web pages and several blogs entries attacking Dadlani. The distorted images Moreno made can be seen here (Equalizer is none other than Gerald Moreno, as he eventually had to admit). including entering Dadlani’s name and false information on numerous pornography sites! (see this). That blog expressed tremendous frustrated rage, but since Dadlani has withdrawn into his professional work and so he has another top target, guess who.

Increasingly he has directed his worst efforts against the two most important critics of Sai Baba, Robert Priddy and Barry Pittard. Moreno’s writings against Robert Priddy are amazing in the degree of madcap hate and name-calling… and what I find are perversions of the facts at every turn [to get this, you have got to compare what Moreno writes with what Priddy actually writes on his own web pages and blogs]

Moreno has often accused me of ‘blathering’, ‘frothing at the mouth’ and many other such irrelevant actions. There is no evidence that I do any such thing, and I do not. However, what is Moreno doing here:-The transparent attempt to invalidate in advance any clarifications I might give speaks for itself how deeply Moreno tried to avoid any facts penetrating to himself or his clientele. However, in every case my wife was present at what are called ‘private interviews’ with Sai Baba, I was never alone with him anywhere for a second. His attempt to twist facts by false interpretation fell flat here as usual. It is bizarre in the extreme, since he implies that one may implicate Sai Baba as a sexual abuser (of me)!  Further, I was 50 years old at the first interview (1986), and it is reported widely that Sai Baba only likes young men… no person ever alleged sexual abuse when they were over 35 years of age.

As my entire output shows, I was never involved in anything remotely like the interview Moreno describes that he had so I am entirely free of the perceptions that Moreno in the intensity of his rigid denial insists I must have! Moreno’s wrote so guardedly about the oiling experience which I asked him to describe that he gives a tangible impression of embarrassment to tell just how Sai Baba reached his lower stomach with a handful of oil… or any other details.

He was definitely still confused about it all long, long after when he wrote that he believed Sai Baba to be a sexual abuser, “mingling the miraculous with the mundane” in some accounts. And, amusingly to most no doubt, he calls me “sexually twisted”, while he was defending on the www tooth and nail a person who he for years saw as a ‘partly miraculous’ sexual abuser!

Gerald Moreno wrote :-

He then “materialized” oil and pulled down my underwear and applied the oil on my lower abdomen below my navel and above my penis. Basava Premanand replied: It is only after the person reacts passively to the request of pulling down his pants that SSB himself pulls down the underwear when he wants physical contact with the genitals, then massaging below navel up to the penis and watching the facial changes then only SSB moves to next and further manipulations sexually. This genital area oiling is not mentioned in any of the medical or religious texts from India. Oiling is not done in one part of the body but all over the body and massaging every part in Ayurveda, The massaging is done not only by hands but also by legs. This is believed as a rejuvenating therapy.

The very fact that Greg Gerson allowed SSB to make him pull down his underwear only indicates how much faith he then had on SSB as god on earth. David Paul states:”I was taken into the back room and subjected to one of the so called oilings that have so often been spoken of and I am not sure even today where I stand on that particular subject” This clearly refutes GM’s claim that Paul also stated “that what happened to him was not sexual abuse”. Here he is again attempting to deceive through inaccurate and tendentious presentation of the documented facts.

I know from a former friend, Michael Oliver, that Moreno had the same admiration for Sai Baba and therefore no doubt had his pants taken down, one way or another! The cardinal fact – that Moreno wishes in vain to deny – is that Sathya Sai Baba used oil on Gerald Moreno’s lower stomach (which is ‘in the genital region’) and this is classified as sexual molestation when carried out by other than a registered doctor, which Sai Baba definitively is not. It makes no difference in law whether the subject of the act experienced it as pleasant or otherwise! The act of genital oiling is known to the pathology of sexual deviation as a form of “grooming’ for possible sexual intercourse. Whether the perpetrator proceeds or not usually depends on how well it is received.

Finally, another lie and blustering threats by Moreno to conclude:-

I have never made a single legal threat against Gerald Moreno as he well knows. He has never received a letter from my lawyers.I have occasionally made a general warning about infringement of my copyright. Since Moreno is raring to go to court, let him sue me. My legal advisers see not a single point in which I am in jeopardy. I do know, however, that lawyers have been contacted by other offended parties to examine the options concerning Moreno. Note the vulgar fantasy in Moreno's anal threat above!

Further relevant instance of cover-up of genital nature of oiling, later admitted:
That I suggested that Moreno may not be telling the whole story due to embarrassment is not at all far-fetched nor in the least ‘perverted’ on my part as he so wildly protests! If that were so, then every charge of sexual molestation presented by anyone in any court, by Moreno’s standard, would be ‘perverted’! One case which illumines this is that of the British-Canadian author Paul William Roberts, who was clearly too embarrassed about what happened to him in a Sai Baba private interview to describe it for what it was. Roberts described in his book how he was oiled when in his early twenties ”on the chest”. (See last page but one of ‘Empire of the Soul’ Chapter 3 (p. 37 in original Canadian edition, 1994. US edition 1996) which is paraphrased and also directly quoted here:

Interview. P.W.Roberts feels Sai Baba’s love. B. tells him all about his life and gives a breakdown of his personality. Then B. circles his hand and “a white oily substance” appears “in his palm”. “Somehow, I knew what he wanted to do, so I lifted my shirt and let him rub this substance into my chest. I kept thanking him profusely.” The next few days are spent in a daze of happiness and are a blur to PWR.

Subsequent to this published account, however, this confirmed devotee of Sathya Sai Baba, Paul William Roberts circulated an e-mail to a number of devotees telling them that this was actually a full scale genital oiling! He backed this up in another e-mail in July 2004, and confirmed having written it and that it can be circulated to other devotees. These e-mails can be produced as required by any court). A quotation from that e-mail follows:-
”My experience does in fact include genital contact. Baba materialized some kind of white ointment and rubbed in onto my perineum. It was done in a very maternal manner. He looked away while he was doing it and made no actual contact with my penis or scrotum. It was not remotely sexual and reminded me of a nurse performing a routine procedure.”

(Note: the ‘perineum’ is the sensitive area between the genitals and the anus!). Seeing that a widely-respected journalist and author like P.W. Roberts completely misrepresented the nature of the oiling by Sai Baba in his book and let this stand for many years uncorrected (as it remains today), yet later confirmed in his widely-circulated e-mail to devotees how he had in fact covered up the embarrassing fact, you may imagine how difficult many find telling the true state of affairs. As to Roberts’ subjective belief about his not having been subjected to any sexual act, it is of similar kind to Moreno’s in his writing of his ‘not having a clue’.

The Gerald Moreno dossier – part 2

The calumnious Moreno and his agenda of total denial: Though Gerald Joe Moreno claims not to be a follower or devotee of Sathya Sai Baba, and states he does not believe the claims of omniscience and omnipotence or even that he is the avatar, he has rigorously defended him and his Organization through constantly attacking every critic, and not only them but any family members he can track down, any friends or associates he can find out about. He has heartlessly harassed most of those young men alleging sexual abuse by Sai Baba – through unsolicited e-mails, misrepresentation of their statements, naming them as liars all over the Internet. Further, anyone who disagrees with Moreno in any way is smeared by him in return and is often also harassed in several other ways, such as web stalking, e-mails to all known associates of the person involved and posting of personal details wherever possible on Internet services. The extent of his attacks and the and antipathy of his mentality to invent dirt about dissidents and ex-followers are sufficient to convince all but some blinded Sai devotees that he is suffering from a cognitive disorder… some symptoms being his obsessive harassment, persecution and dirty tricks based on ad hominem arguments and outright willful lies about critics and their assertions. He has never met those who he persecutes most of all. The way he sees others tells more about him than them! His entire antipathetic offensive is really but a storm in a teacup.

Joe Moreno is not a devotee but is the main defender of all Sathya Sai matters The major and unrepentant infringer of copyright – countless photos of critics and texts of mine – rails at length about ONE SINGLE photo which he for some reason is rather desperate to hide away.

He is given to over-heated and immoderate language, schoolyard jibes (eg. ageist, name-calling and comic book language like “nearly fell out of my chair laughing” and much more in that vein). His braggadoccio about his own cleverness is also highly visible.  So what is he trying to prove? That I and others who have spoken out about Sathya Sai Baba’s human excesses and faults are inveterate liars and smear merchants, That is a self-evident case of psychological projection of his own characteristics onto others. He can’t prove his case because my close associates and I are none of us liars. I report on testimonies, evidence, opinion, I explain and document, and nothing I have written is untrue to my best knowledge. I am willing to change any point on which I can be shown definitively to be mistaken. It is rather noteworthy, too, that not a single Sai Baba supporter has tried to disprove a single word of what I have written in a court of law!

Moreno’s obsession is patently connected in some degree to his intense denial of having being sexually molested by Sathya Sai Baba. Even by Indian law, it is a sexual molestation to interfere physically with another person in the way Moreno himself described – whether or not he later derived some kind of enjoyment from it as he wrote. (See Moreno and sexual abuse, denial and subterfuge) Though he believed for some years that Sathya Sai Baba is a sexual abuser, he changed his mind as soon as he found a pretext, having already developed a massive denial in defending to the hilt everything concerning Sathya Sai Baba’s goodness, purity, truthfulness and his organization. He has even developed a twisted narrative for himself in which he is the blameless victim of defamation and attacks, when it was he who began and sustained his massive harassment and web stalking of dissenters. The facts to show that this is not so are so profuse, well testified by a very wide range of persons since around 2000, that only those who cannot live without leaning on a guru and believing in the fantastic and fabulous. This explains his intense no-holds-barred antipathy towards critics of Sathya Sai Baba which now amounts to irrational but wilful hate.

Of the hundreds of critical points raised against Sathya Sai Baba, Gerald Moreno has only attempted to refute a relative handful of them, avoiding direct response to critics’ documented false and/or contradictory statements, outright lies, bogus prophecies, broken promises and other deceptions of Sathya Sai Baba himself. He does not contest these analyses, and it is evident that he is at a loss to do so. When he does contest allegations and facts, he very seldom even tries to present any independent evidence or even cogent arguments. He picks out any tiny unclear or questionable points he can magnify and re-post all over the web, or spin into a whole issue, seeing any small error as a ‘blatant’ or ‘bold’ lie or deception. He has complained loudly that there have for 4 years been hardly any replies to many of his accusations, for the work of refuting his constant stream of them in detailing the facts in each case would have diverted critics from their chief task, which is to expose the deceptions of Sathya Sai Baba. However, in the previous months some of us have responded to some of his worst allegations, just so he should not have a free run.

Gerald Moreno and “copyright blathering”

From one of Joe Moreno”s countless blogs trying to cloud the fact that he – and definitely not his critics – is a major copyright infringer.

Gerald Moreno has railed against what he childishly calls my “copyright blathering” and “whining”. He calls me and others who posted one single photo of him on-line “thieves of copyright material”. He thereby admits (no doubt unwittingly) that his major infringements of my copyright makes him a major thief of copyright! While none of us have ignored his copyright of anything else but this one photo, it is easily seen on his many sites that he has posted many copyright photos – including several of Conny Larsson, Reinier van der Sandt and myself along with extremely denigratory and/or outright hateful comments! More than that, he has manipulated the faces of some of us, and compared my image to an apish creature! Because of this, and because he has infringed my copyright on a very large scale – particularly texts and a whole website of mine, I have at last made his photo available so people can see who he is. He will be recognised during any ashram visits etc. Moreno was forced to remove some of this, but – seeing how Google and his server [lunarpages.com] simply ignore copyright infringements proved to them under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) much still remains on-line. In all this we see how Gerald Moreno suffers from the total lack of proportion, to an extent which marks him out as an unbalanced mentality and an angry hate-inspired person.

Moreno has written a lot more hairsplitting complaints which he presents in exacerbated terms, also openly inciting people to provide him with more photos of the many critics of Sai Baba whose photos he cannot find. Why? No doubt so he can infringe their copyright and disfigure their faces or bodies etc.! This is the level of debate at which he mostly operates – a degenerate deforming ‘satire’ in the place of absent rational argumentation or cogent thoughts.

The reason Gerald Moreno gives for this unintelligent piece of work is:- “Funny how those who poke fun others appearances look rather pathetic themselves. I say turnabout is fair play”

I have pointed out, however, that Sathya Sai Baba who claims his appearance will always remain youthful (just like Krishna who always was as a youth of 16 years of age), has deteriorated remarkably – and has a vacant state and a clearly aged facial  and neck features – besides being wheelchair bound due to his own fault in not following his doctors’ advice after his hip joint was shattered by a fall and operated by six doctors. This is the self-claimed Omniscient, Omnipotent Avatar, God Incarnate.

Moreno only makes a fool of himself in this, as he also does in his long ago having manipulated the face of Reinier van der Sandt and the body of Sanjay Dadlani – all with the same hateful purpose, see below on left:-

Sathya Sai’s Dato Jegathesan and smear campaigns

My principle in writing about the suicide of Datuk J. Jegathesan’s son, and the death of his former wife, is to help establish the truth for it is in the public interest to question and to pose awkward questions that still seek an answer – it is not malicious, as has been claimed. Journalists investigate and expose such matters of life and death in the public interest. It is most important to report the facts and question beliefs, especially where deaths of devotees under suspicious and inauspicious circumstances are involved because Sathya Sai Baba has given a totally false promise to all devotees that they are under his personal protection (“Why fear when I am here?”). A very good way to beguile desperate and suffering people – as well as many other who want to believe they have an infallible protector. It has led to truly vast donations. Dato Jegathesan Jegathesan was an extremely close follower who has devoted his life to Sai Baba, and is everywhere presented as such and as a public figure of importance and influence, which he uses to the utmost to increase the following and finances of Sathya Sai Baba. So he must take the flak that comes of his own actions.

The big lie is stated thus: ‘Victory to the Lord of the Universe, Lord Sathya Sai, who destroys grief, evil and the miseries of life and who guards and protects devotees’ (posted by sathyasaibaba August 21, 2008 by the anonymous Internet troll [actually Joe Moreno], who claims he is not even a follower of sathyasaibaba, but who defends Jegathesan). It is the right of the public to know the facts surrounding deaths which have already been publicised by their family in very widely-distributed and unsolicited e-mails.

That there is most likely a different, more complete and more truthful version of events to the one given by Jegathesan as there are many known cover-ups among top Sai officials, the Sathya Sai Organization and not least top politicians from Indian Presidents right down to countless official in the judiciary and the police. about every aspect of Sathya Sai Baba, who never reply to any actual or even putative facts put forward by the exposé.

I do not libel others, Jegathesan did in a widely-posted e-mail by calling the honest allegations by victims (of the many reported sexual abuses) “feces on the ground’. Datuk J. Jegathesan was informed of these  on Malaysian students  in 1980-81 and failed to practise any duty of care as leader of the Sathya Sai Organization in Malaysia. I have considerable documentation of this from a Malaysian former active promoter of Sai Baba who then carried out extensive investigations and had his worst suspicions confirmed by Malaysian and other students, not least at Prashanthi Nilayam where he visited them to find out whether there was any truth in their claims.

I have informed some of his family members who appealed to me months back, there are more piercing questions to me that I have not posted about on the matter, including some abusive e-mails from two of them which do them no service at all. They know I have already shown considerable restraint at their behest. Since at least one of them has already supported Moreno, now they should take great care not to support him further nor his massive smear and hate campaign against me [and against every other Sai critic].

Jegathesan characterised the many brave alleging victims of Sai Baba sexual abuses as “anti Sai forces”. The emotive term ‘forces’ implies that any justified criticisms of Sathya Sai Baba are organised by some large organised body, but they are definitely not! He wants to avoid ALL questioning and criticism – having also declared that all devotees should “plug their ears” as Ulysses did with wax! What kind of a mind does that? That of a fanaticical bigot who listens to nothing except praise and who believes he is a personal friend of the omnipotent God Incarnate.

Jegathesan says the critics to run a ‘vicious’ campaign. This includes many brave young men who – despite murders of devotees and massive persecutions of all critics of Sai Baba like David Bailey and others – have nonetheless stood forth with most credibly accurate and detailed accounts from all over the world about sexual abuse by Sathya Sai Baba! Jegathesan cannot discriminate between seekers of truth and justice and blind bigots involved in what is probably India’s greatest ever religious scam. Sathya Sai baba’s gigantic unfulfilled and unfulfillable promises to save his devotees, plus India and plus the entire world from immorality and corruption, wars and catastrophes are entirely bogus!

In his “Sathya Sai Baba – Life, Love and Spirituality” blog” Gerald Joe Moreno of Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA, makes a number of entirely false claims. In his very language and conduct he ceaselessly infracts the teachings of the one he defends. The is the constant use of name-calling, labelling, derision, sneering, demeaning, assuming the very worst of all those who criticize his idol Sathya Sai Baba and, indeed, amid the anarchy that resides within parts of the Internet, severely libeling one after another who stands forth to question him and his worldwide cult.

Among a plethora of sites, which he manipulates in such a way as to leap higher in Internet search engine results, Gerald Joe Moreno has a WordPress.com blogsite:  sathyasaibaba. It operates under the pseudonym Equalizer.

Gerald Moreno’s Galvanic Attacks on Broadcasters and other Critics

Whatever top class broadcaster (e.g., BBC, CBC, SBS, Channel NineMSN) or newspaper (e.g., Times of London, Telegraph, Guardian, India Today, Ottawa Times, The Age, etc.) investigates Sai Baba and his organisation is fair game for Gerald Joe Moreno’s attacks. Moreno always right. Critics always wrong.

Recently, a leading national broadcaster screened the Australian Current Affair report ‘Infiltrating a Cult’, February 2, 2009, on Channel NINEMSN. It showed an Australian Sathya Sai Baba cult leader, Moyia O’Brien, denying that the Sai Baba organisation is religious but only a social service organisation. Moyia O’Brien’s subterfuge recalls, for example, how the American Sathya Sai Organisation used a perverse technicality in the case in Orange County, California, USA, brought brought against the directors of the Sathya Sai Society of America by Alaya Rahm (with the support of his family who were longtime noted leaders): this multimillion dollar sect claimed via its lawyers that it was only a bookshop. Moreno is on a par with the Sai cult leaders round the world, including Ms O’Brien in the Australian television interview, who plays down – or rather wilfully deceives about  – her close affiliation with the Sathya Sai Organization.

In the Moyia O’Brien case, Moreno falsely leaps to the notion that Barry Pittard –  who has taken up the cause of the sacked manager and disabled clients – and myself were involved from the start as instigators of the revolt against SWARA (Sunshine Welfare and Remedial Centre) by staff, who were in perfectly good professional repute and clients (several staff were sacked).  However, one of the organisers completely unknown to us contacted and informed that the programme was due to be aired on national television. It was previewed for some days on TV on  the prime time Australian Current Affairs TV programme. It is furthermore the case that a number of well-respected Sai Baba devotees have themselves spoken up on behalf of the staff and clients, and courageously continue to do so. Yet again, Moreno’s proclivity for conspiracy-type ‘thinking’ and putting worst-case scenarios is exposed.
