Sai Baba’s 95th Birthday: Free Food and Political Balloons Take Center Stage

Posted by eileenweed on November 23, 2020

Politicians in Puttaparthi: an all too familiar sight. Not the big shots from yesteryear though
Sing along: happy birthday!

Crowds have gathered in Puttaparthi today to take advantage of the free food distribution. Politicians are also taking advantage – by advertising their devotion and hopefully to amass more votes. They have tied balloons around town with their pictures on one side, and pictures of the shamed guru on the other.

Of course, everyone with even half a brain knows this is no auspicious day by any account. Among Sathya Sai Baba’s many failed, self-aggrandizing predictions his assertion he would live and stay healthy at least until this very day in 2020 (or even 2021!) loomed large. One need only read this 2015 account to be in the clear: https://robertpriddy.wordpress.com/2015/04/23/sathya-sai-baba-anniversary-of-death-april-24-2011/.

Instead the unsaintly saint died an ignoble death more than nine years ago! (See https://robertpriddy.wordpress.com/2011/04/24/sathya-sai-babas-death-no-miracles/.)

Only those who are willfully uninformed or are blind faith devotees still believe this is a day to be celebrated. To every levelheaded person this gaudy spectacle is little more than hot air and make believe in this South Indian style Disney multi color Fairyland.

Why Wasn’t Sathya Sai Baba Honest?

Posted by eileenweed on September 29, 2020

There is a revealing video on YouTube, showing how some of Sathya Sai Baba’s miracles were faked and how some teachings were plagiarised – reused though others said them.

Why did he pretend to be someone he wasn’t? Why wasn’t he honest about himself? There is a brilliant comment on the video by “Easwaran R. B.” that asks those thought-provoking questions!

VIDEO ON YOUTUBE:

Chaitanya Jyothi Museum at Puttaparthi, Part 5 Faked Miracles & Plagiarised Teachings

Comment by Easwaran R. B.:

This is the first video that has beautifully and clearly exposed this Baba’s fake vibhuti “creation”!!! We knew from other videos that he brought with him a few pellets of vibhuti which he held in his left hand with which he used to hold the hem of his dress as he walked out for darshan area. He would collect a few envelops from devotees which would be held in his left hand. These envelops formed the cover as he transferred one pellet at a time under the covers from left to right hand and quickly transfered it between his first and middle fingers. Then he would hold his right hand fingers tightly together and waive, then crush the pellet with his thumb as he gave the vibhuti to devotees.

If Baba said I am going to do a magic and did this like PC Sorcar, I would never blame him. If he earned money by showing such magic and then used that money to build hospitals or do charity, I wouldn’t complain at all!! PC Sorcar the magician and his family also do lot of charity.

The problem with this Baba was that he cheated vulnerable devotees saying these were a display of his divine powers and it was believing in these fake claims that vulnerable people donated huge amounts of money to his Trust with which he did some charitable works.

Recently, during Covid-19 in Italy that took a heavy toll, many members of the famous Italian mafia helped corona patients with their ill-earned money!! Does it make the mafia a legal and ethical entity? Same with this fake baba. He gave very good speeches and advised his disciples to be honest, not to cheat, to serve others, etc. Question is was he honest?

Master Plan for Puttaparthi?

Posted by robertpriddy on October 7, 2019

A report in late September 2019 stated that Puttaparthi will be developed into an “International Tourist Spiritual destination”, a 1,000 crore project. This will apparently include a 100 acre land for a Food Park and 60 acres for a Yoga Wellness Center.

It is quite amusing to hear of the large wasteful investments in hope of a internationally recognised spiritual destination… the dwindling attraction of a dead and gone charlatan God. I wonder what the “R & B Circuit Guest House’” will be. Part of a showbiz circuit for Rhythm and Blues artists and their fans? Ha, ha!

Then, the 100 acre ‘Food Park’ intrigued me… will they be selling sought-after culinary delicacies as Parthi-pizza, coconut and/or vegetable rolls, PN canteen food? That will bring in the ’spiritual visitors’ in their hordes, no doubt.

A full sixty acres of Yoga wellness rather suggests the estimated ill health and degeneration of devotees. What will doubtless be the destruction of the already naturally beautiful Chitravati river bed and surroundings is a mindless shame.

Why can’t people leave good alone? I can’t imagine many people making a pilgrimage to see it all!

The ‘Abode of Peace’ ashram- the pivotal events

Posted by robertpriddy on August 11, 2010

V.J. Ram (aka Janakiram) was a senior Indian CID officer who received the President’s Police Medal for having solved many difficult cases. His book on ‘The Godmen of India’ is extremely revealing, especially as regards the long history of criminal incidents connected to Sathya Sai Baba and his coterie. His sensational book is about several ‘godmen’ in India into whom he has investigated and found to be bogus and surrounded by criminal allegations with much circumstantial evidence to uphold them.  ‘The Godmen of India’ can be ordered here – click
