V.J. Ram (aka Janakiram) recounts the events of June 6, 1993 when two of the intruders who were murdered briefed the others of their plan.
Note: The view of J.V. Ram that jealousy was the strongest motive is questionable… there is no clear evidence to suggest this. It was the propaganda of Sathya Sai Baba in his confused and vague discourse about the murders some weeks later. Others have claims that it was an attempt to get access to Sathya Sai Baba, not least to get rid of corruption in the ashram (in which Radhakrishna Murthy was supposedly deeply involved) but also to pressure Sai Baba into stopping his many reported sexual abuses of young boys and men. That a vendetta between opposing parties at the ashram existed seems very likely, since Vijay Prabhu was known to be a constant critic of many corrupt activities of the staff (and most rightly so), including their (secret) use of alcohol and Puttaparthi brothels. One brothel was widely reported as being owned by Janakiramiahah, the younger brothr of Sathya Sai Baba. Another organized undercover sex solicitation was conducted at the ayurvedic healing clinic ‘Nadakuduru Sai Ayurveda Hospitals Private Limited of one of the ‘veranda VIPs’, Dr. Samba Siva Rao.
