Dr. G. Venkataraman’s delusions and cynical cover up

THIS IS THE CURRENT STATE OF DIVINE BEAUTY - OF THE NOW DOUR AND DEPRESSED SATHYA SAI BABA WHO VENKATARAMAN THINKS TO HAVE 'MATCHLESS BEAUTY' (!) AND WHO "SEEMS HE IS NOT AWARE OF ANY OF THE MYSTERIES IN THE UNIVERSE HE HAS CREATED" IS THIS NOT GULLIBILITY GONE MAD?

THIS IS THE CURRENT STATE OF DIVINE BEAUTY – OF THE NOW DOUR AND DEPRESSED SATHYA SAI BABA WHO VENKATARAMAN THINKS TO HAVE ‘MATCHLESS BEAUTY’ (!) AND WHO “SEEMS HE IS NOT AWARE OF ANY OF THE MYSTERIES IN THE UNIVERSE HE HAS CREATED” IS THIS NOT GULLIBILITY GONE MAD?

Dr G. VENKATARAMAN former adviser to India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (working in connection with nuclear weaponry, of all things), Deputy Chairman of the Prashanti Council currently teaches at the Institute and is Director of the Prashanti Digital Studio and Radio Sai Global Harmony.

He has deluded himself that Sathya Sai Baba created the entire Universe (even though he has studied physics – though clearly not the critical philosophy of science). He holds that Sai Baba created evolution itself! He has certainly not studied his Grayling nor neurophilosophy, nor even understood Dawkins’ ground-breaking popular book The Selfish Gene. Venkataraman suffers from typical Indian religious spiritualism with its in-built aversion to all genuine self-critical thinking. Believing in most Indian mythology as fact, he is wonder-struck by Sathya Sai Baba…

Dr. Venkataraman has taken upon himself the role as the principal official Sai Baba defender on the Internet of Sai Baba against the world-wide allegations of sexual abuse and being an accomplice to murders and their cover-up. He also endorses fraudulent claims of ‘materializations’ (many of which were definitively not such), plus many documented lies by Sai Baba, false promises and self-serving (mostly failed) prophesies and predictions and massive, ignorance of much of human knowledge plus unsurpassed, self-aggrandisement…

Not exactly a hard-up man by any measure having held top posts in India – Dr. G. Venkataraman has been given a brand new, expensive car by Sathya Sai Baba out of funds donated to help the poor and needy (NOTE SB claims to own nothing at all! (Click here to see the official website announcement of the gift of 5 cars to 5 fat cats). This is what devotees’ donations (including large sums by my wife and I)  – intended for the uplift of the poor and suffering – are evidently used for more and more, i.e. helping rich and influential Indians! Dr. Venkataraman should have been too ashamed to accept it or at least had the moral decency to give it to help the poor instead!

THE COVER-UP OF VERY WIDELY-TESTIFIED FACTS: Dr. G. Venkataraman claims he has never found any student who said he was sexually abused by Sathya Sai Baba. However, seeing he is the top VIP defending Sathya Sai Baba in every possible respect – and seeing that students have been brutally murdered at Prashanthi Nilayam in 1993 at the very least – one would not expect abused students to confide in this compromised person. Unlike Barry Pittard and myself, as we have stood forth to defend those abused by Sai Baba, including personal friends, and promised strict confidentiality to all who do not wish their names to be made public… with the result that numerous sexually abused young men and Sai students have confided in us.

Does UNESCO Really Protect the Young?

The Secret Swami’s Dr. Goebbels

Dr. G. Venkataraman, Slightly Visible

The following screen captures show two UNESCO pages [both incidentally still found archived on-line – click on the following links UNESCO’s Media Advisory concerning Sathya Sai Baba and UNESCO’s Note of Withdrawal from sponsorship of a Sathya Sai Baba arrangement for educationalists. It was not primarily the high-handed way the Sai officials decided to shunt UNESCO into the ashram instead of a less devotional setting that UNESCO complained about, it was the sexual abuses attributed to him and investigated by them sufficiently to take the remarkable step of announcing the fact (not done by such international bodies without very good reason!).

Dr. G. Venkarataman’s attempts to cover up the facts carefully checked by UNESCO with alleging victims of sexual abuse before issuing their advisory. He claimed these URLs were removed after intervention at top diplomatic levels, holding that they defame his Lord and Master, Sathya Sai Baba. However, the facts as stated by UNESCO to the BBC are that the removal was merely of the nature of a site renovation and that UNESCO does not regret having posted the two pages (screen capture are preserved below, in case Indian minister or their UN Sai-devotee diplomat, Deputy General Secretary Shashi Tharoor, applies to get the archived URLs removed too). Click on ‘To Know More’ above to view Notice of Withdrawal by UNESCO

The said pages are stored on the internet wayback archive, (but when the site is busy it can sometimes take some time to open)

Gerald Moreno – further inducted into the Sathya Sai Baba fold

Posted by robertpriddy on October 7, 2009

Earlier I have shown here how – due to a hallucination most likely caused by sleep paralysis – Gerald Moreno became deluded and was induced into the Sai Baba sect (see). He was led to India and soon acquired all the skills of self-indoctrination I have detailed on my website (see link at foot of blog)  which led him onwards into the deceptive and illusory world from which he is incapable of liberating himself. One of the incidents which helped convince him that Sathya Sai Baba has miraculous powers, he described as follows:-

“Pratima gave me some blessed vibuthi (ash) from Baba’s Ashram. She told me to eat it. I had never eaten ash before! I felt quite embarrassed at the thought, but ate some anyway. No sooner did the ash touch my tongue when my stomach pain literally disappeared! An instantaneous healing.”

The eating of “holy ash” said to be a ‘miraculous healing agent’ – often claimed to be materialised by the hand of Sai Baba himself – can have a strong placebo effect – an upset stomach is often caused by anxiety, and so Moreno’s thinks he has been miraculously healed! The healing furore around Sai Baba – as around many other charismatics – is a complex phenomenon, with a large amount of leeway for self-delusion, not least. (See here)

Moreno describes another step which led him further into the maze of carefully constructed indoctrination by Sathya Sai Baba (in the handed-down tradition of power-seeking Hindu gurus through the millennia in India):-

There are two Darshan times. One is in the morning, and the other in the afternoon. In the afternoon, as I was waiting for Baba to come out, a man sitting next to me suddenly said, very loudly and without any shame, “Of all the thousands of people here, Baba has inspired me to give YOU these books.” The man handed me two books and he did not say another word to me. One book was a small book that described some miracles Baba had done. The other book had a picture of Shirdi Sai Baba on one side and a picture of Sathya Sai Baba on the other side. The title was, “Shirdi Sai and Sathya Sai are one and the same.” In that book, it described how Shirdi Sai and Sathya Sai would both appear to people all around the world. I found out then, that Shirdi Sai had left his body in 1918. And I realized the oneness of Shirdi and Sathya in that moment. All along, Baba had a plan that unfolded, unknown to me, exactly as he had willed. A seamless plan that left me and still leaves me in awe.

A seamless plan indeed? There are many persons who give pamphlets, books and other things to others they sit next to. Devotees are constantly telling others that they have been ‘inspired’ by Baba to do this or that. It is part of the Prashanthi culture. Moreno find it very meaningful – but remember that he has also stated in the same article that was rather desperately seeking God, and – having gone all the way to India in the hope that Sathya Sai baba is God Almighty Incarnate, he takes such otherwise commonplace – even trivial – incidents to have deep meaning for him personally!

Besides me, there was an Indian man with his sick son and an Indian family. Baba looked at the Indian man and said, “Australia.” The man nodded his head and said that he was, indeed, from Australia. I sure couldn’t tell. He looked Indian to me in dress and appearance.
Baba told them that they had been quarreling among themselves. Baba told them every detail of the quarrel, including who said what to whom, etc. The family was surprised and everyone kept nodding their heads. Baba said, “I know. I know.” Just before I left Baba, I had a beautiful dream of Baba. In the dream, Baba was wearing a white robe and Baba was holding my hand. I asked Baba, “When will I be back?” Baba said, “Very soon.” (Little did I know that “very soon” turned out to be 14 months!

This incident is not at all mysterious! Sai Baba’s staff  – who register many details about everyone when they arrive – are constantly reporting to him everything of note that occurs in the ashram, not least with a view to helping him recognise who is who, what they are like, what they do and say. His undercover staff includes a considerable number of plain clothes security people and informers. He even got information about people from his trusted and tested ‘Central Coordinators’ and other Sai-VIPs when he talked to them on the veranda daily. The monied people especially come in for close scrutiny. Baba is ever saying ‘I know, I know’ and people think he really does… what an easy con trick! People go away feeling they are blessed, that Sai Baba has all their concerns in hand… and they begin to read his will into everything that happens to them, good or ill. The good is from him, the bad is a lessons for them to learn. What pitiful self-delusions!

The ways in which one is inducted, partly self-programmed are many & subtle – see here
