Sathya Sai Baba’s death – no miracles

Posted by robertpriddy on April 24, 2011

The death of Sathya Sai Baba was wrongly predicted by him, he did not live into his 90s as he prophesies on numerous occasions! Yet another false boast, and one which confounds all the devotees who blindly believed his words and in his divinity. He died a sick man, in more sense than one!  The BBC has announced his death, but adds that he has been accused of fraudulent miracle tricks and sexual abuses. This is an epitaph that will always follow him and, as researchers and historians collect and study the evidence, the accusations and the reason Sai Baba avoided prosecution will become evident and a permanent part of his otherwise largely bogus ‘story’.

How did he actually die? Ah! That is the multi-crore rupee question. The medical report states Cardio-respiratory failure. Now that is very neutral medical terminology, but what caused this breathing and heart failure? This happens if one is taken off vital life support. So did he jump or was he pushed? Your guess is as good as mine… those who really know will be tighter than clams if it was a deliberate act by those in charge. If he jumped, then it fitted in extremely well with all the massive planning of the authorities for a big screen send-off, new helicopter pads for VIPs all preparing to descend just today! A miracle of timing from Vishnu Baba, reclining on his serpent bed on the sea of milk? If there is any body one cannot trust in India (rhetorical) then it is certainly the Sathya Sai Central Trust and their minions!
See the legally invalid ‘death certificate’ issued by Dr. Safaya here (The Case of the Missing Death Certificate)  after which Dr. Safaya resigned his post due to undue pressures that had been put upon him! In fact, ‘heart failure’ is not itself a sufficient description of the cause of feath. That Sai Baba had lost weight (reportedly was only 28 lbs.) and suffered multiple organ failures is consistent with what most of his victims suspect, that he died of AIDS, hence the mighty cover-up of all details of his hospitalization, duration and nature of his illness and what a proper account would reveal!

As I suspected in my blog yesterday, his death is announced on the day that it is widely believed (imaginatively) that Jesus was resurrected – Easter Sunday – suspecting those in power around him to have kept him on support so they could disconnect him on just this day. It seems to make a bigger splash than the crashing fact that he has died and ‘prematurely’ (according to himself). However, he has died and no resurrection is reported! Still, one should not be surprised if some fantasists claim to have seen him risen and in the flesh… there are plenty of lunatics among the indoctrinated and deluded believers in his self-proclaimed divinity and even his most bizarre and beyond-all-credibility miracles!

Take the story that The Times of India put out yesterday as example of ‘fringe lunacy’! How could a major newspaper spread such preposterous rumours (under the cover of ‘reporting’) as “Baba said he would return stronger”? Answer: because it pulls in a mass of desperately hoping devotee readers and sells the paper very well. It may be also partly due to the shadow of Justice Bhagwati – a corrupt Supreme Court ex-judge who is involved with the Times of India and has for decades been a Sai Baba official too Here is the Times of India’s report:-

PUTTAPARTHI: Did Sathya Sai Baba have premonition 10 years ago that he would fall seriously ill? Yes, claim his followers. According to them, Sai Baba had predicted in 2000 that he would be indisposed for 40 days but would come back strong to give darshan to his devotees.
This was revealed in a book ‘Tapovanam — Bhagawan Sri Sathya Saibaba Satcharitra Nityaparaya-nam’ in which the author Jandhyala Venkateswara Sastry has written an essay on Baba’s ill-health. Sai Baba had told his students at his Sai Shruti ashram in Kodaikanal in 2000: ”Though most of my disciples fall at my feet, they don’t know my real value. A time would come when I would vanish and take a walk across the skies. During that phase, my body would face serious health problems and devotees would be desperately praying for my recovery.”

This Indian sastri lives in cloud-cuckoo land, which is well-populated with Sathya Sai worshippers, including a large number of Indian gurus and swamis. Only one or two have bravely spoken out against Sathya Sai Baba, for they mostly wanted to believe in India’s top dog avatar, while others dared not stand forth due to the extreme harassment that prominent critics have faced in India – especially the world-famous sceptic, Basava Premanand.

One of my correspondents just mailed me this perceptive comment: “Now after his death the inner circle will do all their best to protect his image of an avatar or at least a saint as it is a vital factor for the future donations and pilgrims attraction. On the other hand, it is a good point for journalists and historians to focus on SSB as he was with all his stuff. This is an opportunity for critical voices to be heard. But a real breakthrough in our knowledge of what happened in SSB’s kitchen is possible only if someone from the inner circle is deprived of its share in multi-billion dollar empire. Then we will have someone who is ready to speak out before he is killed.”

THIS AGAIN SHOWS THE FALSE PREDICTION AND INORDINATE BOASTING ABOUT HIMSELF. AND HOW THE MIGHTY HAS FALLEN!

Sathya Sai Baba to be ‘resurrected’ on Easter Day?

Posted by robertpriddy on April 23, 2011

UPDATE – on12 September to the original posting of 23 April: One sees here how I correctly predicted the day before the event that the Sathya Sai Central Trust would disconnect Sathya Sai Baba from his life support on Easter Sunday in a vain attempt to save his reputation as a divine figure. It is worth reviewing the events, for it looks most evident that Sathya Sai baba must have been brain dead long since – the body merely kept animate by the life support system. The huge dilemma the Trust members faced had to be solved and the actual cause of illness and actual cause of death covered up. This unresolved situation remains today. Meanwhile, the attempt to identify Sathya Sai Baba with Jesus Christ may convince some Hindus that he was also God to Christians, but it can only have a decidedly alienating effect on all Christian churches and communities… a direct shot in the foot for the Sai Trust!
_____________________________________________________________________________

From one of my Indian sources, a well known Indian who knows the inner working of the sb ashram and had been in the forefront of the sb expose for several years and known personally to me for years, I received this today: “As of 4 pm ( April 23rd)…the news coming through is the SB trust, the AP govt administration and members of the SB immediate family have been in an important meeting since 11 AM….to “discuss the health status of Sathya Sai , to decide future course of action and matters of the Sai Baba trust etc”…more than 20 members are said to have been in the meeting which had adjourned at 2PM for lunch and yet to reconvene. Significantly, Ratnakar was absent in the meeting, and the official reason is he had a “knee problem”. I am reliably informed that the compromise formula is not working out, and that Ratnakar has been legally advised by his counsel not to attend the meeting and be any party to any resolution passed…in view of the fact he can legally exercise his control over the trust at a later date, and should not be party to anything now either in his capacity of the legal heir of sb or as a SB trust member. I am informed that this is delaying any “announcement”….and a deadlock has been reached. Apparently, Ratnakar wants 2 trusts to be formed,  one dealing with the Ashram itself, the samadhi of Sai Baba and all activities there..and another dealing with the sb educational, medical and all other activities. He wants to be exclusively in charge of the Ashram/shrine/samadhi activities, while he is willing to concede the 2nd to other trust members, provided he still remains on the board. The SB trust is not inclined to accept this formula, and are trying for a compromise solution without dividing anything. Hence the deadlock. the SB trust has issued a message that they would address the media meet later today.”

One way or another, the living-deathly shell of Sathya Sai Baba has to be resurrected – some are confident this will happen most miraculously soon in the flesh (see below here), others are instead trying to ensure that his former (now deeply sullied) reputation will somehow rise again if he is given a major Indian-style send-off, with all his sycophantic politicians, judges, doctors, starts of stage, screen and sport present. Their problem is how to try to preserve some figment of his self-developed and self.trumpeted reputation as an omnipotent, omniscient, Incarnate Godhead and Deity of Deities while having to cut him off from his life support systems and get him into the ground somehow without making the much of India’s elite a yet more major world laughing stock than they already are.

Under the title: ‘Trust wavers on taking final call on Sai Baba’ the Times of India explained:- The Trust members went into a huddle at the hospital to discuss the next course of action. One of the members proposed that they announce Baba had attained ‘sajeeva samadhi’ (burial while still alive), said sources. But the proposal was shot down keeping in view the likely complications it could cause. Trust members seem clueless on how to deal with the inevitable, a source told TOI.

Meanwhile the inevitable is being planned for in a big way, and Easter Sunday (not Easter Monday, of course – as I mistakenly wrote here at first) – the day celebrated worldwide as that of the (alleged) resurrection of Jesus – looks like it may well be chosen for disconnecting Sai Baba from his life support:-
The Times of India Apl. 23 reports:

Among his many foot-worshippers devotees are numbered the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the President of India, Pratibha Patil, who will both attend what promises to be the inevitably pompous and spiritually grotesque burial showpiece. The surrealistic views of leading people in India – and a relative handful of minor celebrities from abroad – are a wonder to the educated and liberated wider world, as well – of course – to the billion plus followers of the other mainstream religions which cannot ever accept that Sathya Sai Baba is (or was) a living God and the Father who sent Jesus to earth (as he has claimed outright).

Self-resurrection by this ‘living god’? Times of India PUTTAPARTHI: A sense of surrealism pervades this small town with a population of 25,000. “He is god. He will overcome this phase and start giving darshans. That’s my belief, you may not believe this but I do,” asserted trust secretary and mover and shaker K Chakravarthi to TOI. “He has divine powers to heal himself,” he added emphatically. “We know he’s struggling hard inside the ICU. But he will pull through this traumatic phase. We have hundred per cent belief that it’s only a matter of time before our `living god’ resurrects himself,” said Hanumantha Rao, a staffer in the IT wing in Prasanthi Nilayam without a trace of doubt in his voice. Though Dr A N Safaya, director, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences (SSSIHMS), said that the medical team is making last-ditch efforts to bring Saibaba to life, his relatives are unfazed. “Doctors are doing their job. But Saibaba will come back. I am sure about that,” M Shankar Raju, son of Saibaba’s sister Venkamma, contended. Some of the followers even come out with absurd rationale. “Nothing will happen to Baba. He’s enduring the pain of a 106-year-old `muni’ (sage) in the Himalayas, who’s in his last stages. Once the sage is revived, the swami will automatically recover,” another staunch disciple and Sai Seva Dal volunteer Venkat Reddy claimed. Analysts said the fact of the matter is that those associated with the spiritual guru in one form or the other are his devotees first. “They are unable to forget this and take a rational point of view. Shockingly, even those in power, who are his strong disciples, refuse to acknowledge the gravity of his health. “Media is unnecessarily going overboard on his health. Lakhs of Issac Tigrett Burton, a staunch devotee who has donated huge sums for SSSIHMS, has the final say: “He’s immortal. I perceive him as a protector of the whole world.” Little wonder then that the trust itself released a two-page letter in the late hours of Thursday that Saibaba’s health would improve and that he would give discourses again.

Through the years there have been many (independently unconfirmed) stories circulating of Sathya Sai Baba recovering from amazing illnesses, heart attacks and so on, and two at least of his resurrecting devotees after they were clinically dead. The main resurrection story (of the US millionaire Walter Cowan) was investigated most thoroughly by psychology Professor Erlendur Haraldsson in the 1970s and he proved from the doctors own statements that it did not take place (See report on this here). Among those who were present throughout the episode who deny Cowan actually died or was brought back was US ex-follower Mark Roche, who figured in the BBC documentary ‘The Secret Swami’. As to Sai Baba’s ‘miraculous recoveries’ and supposedly taking on illnesses of dear devotees, the rational answer is that he was simulating those illnesses. This was no big problem for him to do as he was an actor since childhood, seems to have had yogic achievements in control of blood pressure, breath, metabolism etc. and – above all – being worshipped as an inscrutable God, no doctor dared to touch or examine him without his express permission. This he no doubt did at a much-vaunted self-healing in public where he used water to regain control of the paralysed half of his body (an easily-simulated condition). Insight into or controlled observation of any of his miracles have always been kept under careful wraps away from the scrutiny of investigators, scientists or the media. One thing is certain enough, though… he is not simulating now and cannot heal himself either, however many absurd claims to the contrary are made.

The Sathya Sai Baba mythology has been rooted in stories about his birth and his childhood, when he supposedly did ‘miracles’ for his schoolmates. The hagiographical ‘biographies’ of him present him in such glowing terms that his childhood spirituality would seem to surpass that of any worshipped deith in history or mythology. However, there is another and easily understandable explanation to the entire thing and the myth that has been built and manipulated – not least by Sai Baba himself. See Sathya Sai Baba – an enigma or a myth?

What Sathya Sai Baba has continually claimed about himself:-

Even if you believe only half you hear, you are in deep trouble with the following claims by Sai Baba. Will he go down in history as the Saviour of Mankind from global disaster (as he claims) and human evil? If so, he would necessarily displace Jesus Christ and Christianity, Jehova and Judaism, Buddha and Buddhism, Islam and Allah and Whoever and Whatever? One must certainly hope not – if only for the sake of human rationality and progress in empowering people to improve their lot and that of the world rather than become fixated in prayer to God and his traditional “teachings” about fate and the futility of worldly engagements. His many deceptions – so firmly demonstrated here and elsewhere – and his bogus “universal religion” are accepted by a long line of Indian Presidents and Prime Ministers – and also by those of today and much of the Indian Government! It is an enigma… for can they truly believe in the following words of Sathya Sai Baba? They must… or else they’d have to view him as a megalomaniac.

“I am all deities in one. You may endeavour your best for thousands of years and have all mankind with you in your search. But you cannot understand My Reality.”US ed. of Kasturi’s Sathyam Sivam Sundaram Vol 3 page 315)

“There was no one to understand Me until I created the whole world”(Official biographer N. Kasthuri’s direct quote in ‘Pathway to Peace’ p. 64.)

Sathya Sai Baba said in 1968: “This is a human form in which every Divine entity, every Divine principle, that is to say, all the names and forms ascribed by man to God, are manifest… You are very fortunate that you have the chance to experiences the bliss of the vision of the form, which is the form of all gods, now, in this life itself.”(Sathya Sai Speaks Volume VIII. page 99f)

“God can do anything. He has all power in the palm of His Hand. My Body, like all other bodies, is a temporary habitation; but, My Power is eternal, all-pervasive, ever-dominant.”Christmas Day Discourse, Bombay 1970. ed. of Kasturi’s Sathyam Sivam Sundaram Vol 3 page 136)

“On previous occasions when God incarnated on earth, the bliss of recognising Him in the incarnation was vouchsafed only after the physical embodiment had left the world, in spite of plenty of evidences of His Grace. But, ponder a moment on this Sathya Sai Manifestation; in this age of rampant materialism, aggressive disbelief and irreverence, what is it that brings to It the adoration of millions from all over the world? You will be convinced that the basic reason for this is the fact that this is the Supra-worldly Divinity in Human Form.” (Sathya Sai Baba 17/5/1968. Sathya Sai Speaks Vol. 8, p 100)

“If I had come as Narayana with four arms, they would have put me in a circus, charging money for people to see Me. If I had come only as a man, like any other man, who would listen to me? So I had to come in this human form but with more than the human power and wisdom.”(US ed. of Kasturi’s Sathyam Sivam Sundaram -Vol 3 page 309)

Further, on the task of the revival of dharma, he says “… who has to take it up? It was said that I have taken up this Form in answer to the prayers of sadhus (noble souls) and others… I have come, because I felt I had to come. I resolved upon this… This campaign will succeed, it will not fail. The welfare of the world will be ensured through the fostering of the Godly everywhere, and more particularly of these ancient reservoirs of the ancient wisdom of this land.”(Sathya Sai Speaks Vol. 3, page 205)

Sai Baba devotees and surreal death-bed scenarios

Posted by robertpriddy on April 23, 2011

Times of India PUTTAPARTHI: A sense of surrealism pervades this small town with a population of 25,000. “He is god. He will overcome this phase and start giving darshans. That’s my belief, you may not believe this but I do,” asserted trust secretary and mover and shaker K Chakravarthi to TOI. “He has divine powers to heal himself,” he added emphatically. “We know he’s struggling hard inside the ICU. Shockingly, even those in power, who are his strong disciples, refuse to acknowledge the gravity of his health. “Media is unnecessarily going overboard on his health. Lakhs of devotees are praying and doing bhajans. He often says that his devotees are his medicine,” industry minister J Geeta Reddy, an ardent devotee, observed.
Issac Tigrett Burton, a staunch devotee who has donated huge sums for SSSIHMS, has the final say: “He’s immortal. I perceive him as a protector of the whole world.”  Little wonder then that the trust itself released a two-page letter in the late hours of Thursday that Saibaba’s health would improve and that he would give discourses again.

In Puttaparthi, reports the Times of India, “a large number of devotees started crying inconsolably following reports that their `beloved’ Bhagawan’s health condition had deteriorated further. Several devotees, including foreigners, thronged the main gate of the hospital and offered harathis and poojas on the road seeking the `safe return’ of Baba from the hospital bed. A foreign devotee tried to gatecrash into the hospital but was prevented by the cops. He shouted at them and attacked the police outpost in anger.”
Also “Earlier, the devotees booed former TTD chairman D K Adikesavulu Naidu at the hospital when he came to see the Baba.” In another Times of India article we read:
“The Andhra Pradesh government stepped up security at Puttaparthi and its neighbouring areas on Friday. Barricades were set up in and around the super-speciality hospital where Sathya Sai Baba is being treated. Rayalseem inspector-general of police Santosh Mehra, supervising the security arrangement, said more forces are likely to be deployed to prevent any untoward incident.”

What all this tells of the quality of insight, self-discipline and imagined ‘spiritual maturity’ of many who remain Sai devotees (despite all the information available) is obvious – they are hysterical, mind-washed, guru-dependent and easily form into a mindless herd that causes huge problems for security and requires massive police presence. That foreigners are present is one thing, but their numbers have dwindled greatly during the last 10 years of exposures about Sathya Sai Baba’s abuses of diverse and despicable kinds. The world-wide testimony and the record of deaths, disappearances, executions – not to mention embezzlements, filmed fraudulent sleight-of-hand ‘materializations’ and a plethora of disinformation, false propaganda and outright lies will not be erased – for the moving finger hath writ!

Meanwhile, at long, long last, “A group of Baba’s family members was allowed into the ICU to see Baba on Friday evening, it is learnt. “Though he is very critical, Saibaba will come back in five days in normal condition,” a family member not wanting to be named told TOI. Bhajans were held on the road in front of the hospital, while Seva Dal volunteers and devotees prayed in Prasanthi Nilayam.”

Understandable that the family prophet did not want to be named… bound  to prove a false rumour so soon! As everyone who has spent any time at the ashrams of Sai Baba knows, rumours are always rife and factual information is made as sparse as possible by arrogant and officious Sai officials. Stories of miracles galore, the one exceeding the next in improbability, sheer impossibility with the most and bizarre explanation (and never any independent witnesses or investigation, which would inevitably scotch the matter soon). Devotees walking through doors drawn by Sai Baba’s fingers on walls to arrive immediately in Australia and Mecca, Sai Baba’s student drivers closing their eyes at his request to find the long journey they were beginning on was already over,

Sathya Sai Central Trust untrustworthy!

Posted by robertpriddy on April 22, 2011

After years of posting about the total unaccountability and basic untrustworthiness of the Sathya Sai Central Trust during which not a soul in India responded to my documented details or sound arguments, the authorities and the media there have at last taken the matter up, vindicating all my worst suspicions. Such well-founded articles as ‘Can We Trust the Central Trust’ by Serguei Badaev, the former leader of the Sathya Sai Organization in Moscow have been ignored by Indian newspaper editors of major newspapers there to whom they have been sent, and almost everyone else too! Devotees are indoctrinated and pressured to never think ill of anyone, or criticize anyone at all (as everyone is supposed to be God!) and especially not of Sathya Sai Baba or any of his officials! The current revelations about the total lack of external control or even filed information show just how damaging is this simplistic ‘three monkeys’ proverb that SB loves to reiterate (and devotees love yet more to parrot). As Barry Pittard had stated so pungently, this press cover-up or sheer laxity is a signal to most Indian media to buck up.

The Times of India continued:-.

“Official sources said that in 1980 the Sathya Sai Trust, which has Saibaba as its chairman, had requested the state government to grant exemption from statutory filing of reports to the endowments department, which was duly conceded by the then Congress government. As per the Indian Trust Act, trusts should submit a report to the state government concerned once at least every three years. However, thanks to the exemption granted by the state, the Sathya Sai Central Trust. a leading religious, educational and cultural organisation which receives large amounts of foreign donations, has been filing only the foreign contribution report under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act to the union home ministry every year.

According to the union home ministry sources, the Sathya Sai Trust filed its report for 2009 about three months back. As per the submissions, the Trust received Rs 95 crore as foreign contribution in 2003-04, Rs 47.7 crore In 1996-97, Rs 42.9 crore in 1997-98, Rs 39.8 crore in 1998-99 and Rs 50.2 crore in 1999-2000. In 2001-02, the trust received Rs 88.18 crore as foreign contributions.
Apart from this, the Trust also files income tax returns to the I-T department Since its inception in 1972, the Trust has been enjoying 100 per cent tax exemption. Another aspect of the Trust that the state government has been able o dig out during the last few days is that apart from the Sathya Sai Central Trust, there are several trusts floated by Saibaba to carry out various philanthropic activities. They include Shri Sathya Sai Health Trust, Kamataka, Shri Sathya Sai Trust, Karnataka, Sri Sathya Sai Books and Publication Trust, Mumbai, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning.”

NOTE! DR. JOHN HISLOP DIED IN THE 1990s Goldstein has never been listed as a director before, nor Tigrett but they may be.

Since it was first started, the Sathya Sai Central Trust has both gained and lost a number of members – referred to as ‘directors’. Those who have either been dismissed by Sai Baba (for embezzlement and other corruption) include Mr. Prasdad of Bangalore, Colonel Joga Rao (Sai Baba’s main engineer and accomplice, removed for taking too many kickbacks from contractors). Mr. Narayan (former head of the ashram – sacked for having built a luxury villa in Bangalore he reportedly financed by embezzlement of funds).

Sathya Sai Baba 96 years old?

Posted by robertpriddy on April 22, 2011

Scan of Sai Baba death predictionWhen the blog below was written he had not yet died. Since he died on Apl. 24th, an ‘explanatory rationalization’ was issued by the Sathya Sai official website claiming that he DID live to 96 years… umm well, not exactly, only to 94.4 years. These years they claim were ‘lunar years’, and that SB used to reckon in lunar years (nothing of the kind has ever been published before – he always used calendar years. However, to try to make the figures stack up somewhat (i.e. to 94.4 years) they used an entirely false premise – that the moon orbits the earth every 27 or so days, when in fact it is 29 or 30 (depending on timings of passage) When the lunar year are reckoned correctly, it turn out he had lived through 89 or 90 lunar years only. This ploy was obviously intended to pacify devotees who were distraught with tear etc., but also to limit the damage from people leaving and no longer donating, especially foreigners. So his last birthday – the 85th – was not the 85th? Make what you can of that and see the fuller analysis of the facts and bogus explanation here.

When will Sathya Sai Baba die – aged 96, or 92, or very shortly at 86?

The prophesy Sai Baba allegedly made about himself ‘leaving his body’ at the age of 96 was reported by several devotee writers as the age 95 and/or 96 (in some places in India a person who is 95, yet is in-the 96th year, is said to be 96 years old.) On various occasions Baba has reportedly said in private that his life would last 96 years [eg by S. Balu, ‘Living Divinity’ London: Sawbridge Enterprises, 1981, p. 29]. That he so said was not properly documented until he stated this finally in a discourse in 2000. Not, that is, unless one trusts the account of Mr. V. Balu of Bangalore, whose book ‘The Glory of Puttaparthi’ made the claim in the 1980s that Sai Baba had foretold this. The great majority of followers now still believe that he will live for 96 years.

However, according to Sai Baba’s previous published statements (see inset scan) he would leave the body at the age of 93 or 94 maximum. Since then Ratan Lal told our friend Anne Irene who knew her very well that Sai Baba had repeated the prediction of 96 years personally to Ratan Lal. Moreover, Sai Baba had also told him that it was nobody’s business when he would leave the body – he could even prolong his life if he deemed necessary! It certainly seems he was covering himself for whenever it actually happens, But not, as we now see, the present situation.

If that were not enough, the Norwegian journalist, Thorbjørn Færøvik, who visited Prashanthi Nilayam in 1998, reported the following statement from the organizer of the World Conference on the Future of Humanity:-

“He’s going to die on his 95-year anniversary, ” said Dr. A. Murthi, who sitting in the organizing committee for the World Conference and is a sworn devotee of Sai Baba.
– How can Sai Baba know?
– Because he is the son of God. Son of God knows everything.
– It will say that Sai Baba has a good 20 years left to live?
– Exactly. And during these 20 years we must solve a series of problems.
– What?
– We need to create complete peace and harmony”
” from ‘India, stevnemøte med skjebnen’ by Thorbjørn Færøvik. J.W. Cappelans Forlag. 1999)

So what about when his prophecies are so self-contradictory? Which age will it be? Ninety-two, Ninety-three, Ninety-five, Ninety-six? Or whenever he sees fit? It is interesting too that no Indian astrologer who has made predictions about Sathya Sai Baba is known to have given the date of his death… though most of them they do this with great confidence for anyone who wants!

Subsequently proof that Sai Baba did also state he would live until 96 years of age has been located:-

Mr/Mrs Ratan Lal

Apropos, Mr. Ratan Lal – now deceased – was one of Baba’s long-term close followers, a resident at PN who held lectures there (incidentally, on an self-defeating inconsistent amalgam of Sathya Sai Baba and Ramana Maharshi’s teachings, which can be seen for what it is in his published books of the same, edited heavily to make them better by none other than Anne Irene Larsen, now very much an ex-devotee of Sai Baba). Ratan Lal was short of stature and sometimes had a typical bossy manner on those who, like him, had donned the role of some kind of spiritual lecturer after retiring as a businessman. Our friend Anne-Irene Larsen also helped me with investigation about Sathya Sai Baba’s alleged sexual abuses when she stayed for a long period at Prashanthi Nilayam and other ashrams. These included the Ramana Maharshi ashram at Tiruvannamalai, where a Hungarian ex-Sai devotee lady was staying, having been at Prashanthi for four years. This lady told Anne-Irene that she had talked with several sexually abused students there and that this had been the last straw in her decision to leaves Sai Baba. Mr. Ratan Lal confirmed to Anne-Irene when asked that a formerly very prominent Greek devotee family there had immediately withdrawn their son (called Socrates) from the college when they learned he had been sexually abused by Sai Baba. However, Ratan Lal explained this away by saying the Greek father had too big an ego, so could not stand the proximity to the Lord! Anne-Irene also knew well the foreign lady called Veronica, who ran the foreigners’ canteen and who was known for reporting to the Sai officials young men who claimed they had been sexually molested, who were blacklisted and thrown out immediately without notice with police intervention. As also was Dr. Naresh Bhatia, among many others through the years.

Sai Baba’s failed treatment + undercover probes

Posted by robertpriddy on April 22, 2011

NOTE: The abbreviation TDP means ‘Telugu Desam Party’

While Sathya Sai Baba supposedly reclines eternally as the God Vishnu on his serpent bed on the sea of milk in Vaikunta (as they believe) down here he is almost a corpse and no doubt would be one, were it not for the tubes and machines keeping organs functioning peripherally. Despite all the prayers of however many devotees, it’s only a matter of time… and not long either, take note!

Meanwhile, there are increasing leaks from a major upheaval taking place behind the scenes in the ‘corridors of power’ and it all has to do with the heart of this “avatar’s” mission – the Sathya Sai Central Trust. Rumblings that reach me from insiders in India announce that the Indian and/or Andhra Pradesh governments have been snooping on its activities for years – probably with the aid of moles – for it is a major player in the foreign exchange earnings situation, having been the biggest single earner of foreign currency for India for decades.

With government sleuths knowing what they surely do, it was almost amusing to read that Ratnakara, the nephew of the blackmailing younger brother of Sathya Sai Baba – Janakiramiah – has threatened “suitable legal action at the appropriate time” against the Indian media which published reports he claimscontain absolutely false, unsubstantiated allegations imputing financial irregularities, defalcation of funds, commission of illegalities, violation of laws, denial of proper food and nutrition to Bhagawan Baba and wrongfully holding Him in confinement, etc.” of financial wrongdoing by the Central Trust (see http://www.saibabaofindia.com/Latest-Press-Release-by-Sri-Sathya-Sai-Central-Trust-21-April-2011.htm)
More laughably, Ratnakara concludes with the self-defeating statement:
“The trustees and the members of the council of management, including the Secretary of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust deeply appreciate and are gratified by the strong and vigorous support extended to, and the confidence expressed in them, by one and all.”  One and all? Which ‘all’?

The Times report states further, Referring to the allegation that Baba was under sedation for long, he said if that was the case then why was the government silent all these days and an inquiry not ordered into it. What is causing concern is why the government is showing more interest in the assets of Baba than his health ever since he was admitted to the hospital on March 28. The government did not even consider necessary to call for a team of expert doctors from AIIMS. What is also not clear is why the team of doctors, led by Dr Raviraj, was recalled. The government also needs to explain as to what happened to the earlier medical reports of Baba’s health, Rao said and demanded that the video footage of Baba’s health condition be made public immediately.”  (Note AIIMS = All India Institute of Medical Science).

Indeed, the treatment SB has received as reported seems – in view of the many rapidly changing and conflicting reports from doctors and/or minders – to have been below what one should expect from such a huge array of doctors and specialists as were stated to have had a hand. Knowing of the authoritarian methods of all Sai officials, and particularly  Dr. Safaya, I was once informed at length by one of his anaesthetists from Australia (Dr. Sara Pavan), it is likely that specialists from elsewhere have been kept at arms’ length from SB and used only as advisors at best. Add to this that there have through the years been diverse reports of bungling at the Sathya Sai “Super-speciality” hospitals – wrong injections and incorrect medications, not to mention disregard for professional hygiene.

Sai Baba’s tragedy: bones to be picked

Posted by robertpriddy on April 21, 2011

The Hindustan Times, 22nd Apl. states, “Doctors are making a last-minute effort to save the Baba.”

For the last 24 hours, the doctors involved have been stating what has been increasingly obvious to non-believers for days and even weeks now. He is near clinical death, some even say he seems to be brain-dead, but neurologists have not been consulted on this. (Why ever not? At this stage!) The big problem is how to dispose of him neatly without seeming to destroy the mythology of his ‘enlightenment’, and how to solve the problem of who will take over as pseudo-successor (i.e. hold the reins of power). This latter problem may well have caused the extreme intensiveness of the care by teams involving dozens or scores of doctors to keep his organs ticking somehow… to get time to fight it out and make all the necessary arrangements (also for a funeral or the heinous living entombment now proposed!). I feel sorry for what remains of Sai Baba and wish him a quick release.

Devotees will believe anything on trust, but that trust has been abused time and again by Sathya Sai Baba. Only a few who have become true believers can even admit this to themselves, so indoctrinated are they by his convenient (for him) talk of ‘look to yourself and leave me and my inscrutable mystery alone’. Now they believe he will survive and live into his 90s (die as he has predicted aged 92 or 96 – two contradictory prophecies!). When their trust is abused, there are many ways known to all inmates of Prashanthi Nilayam of rationalizing, explaining away, re-interpreting anything which is not as it should be with him, or simply by denying it as a fact (with quotations as their psychological defenses) I know this because for a time – too long – I participated… until I was despite myself virtually forced to recognise the ugly truth about him.

Meanwhile, the politicians of Andhra Pradesh State government are flocking there not at all unlike vultures, and it is openly admitted that they want as much of the cake as they can get. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Pratibha Patil are a disgrace to India in attending this degenerate who has abused devotees in many ways, including condoning their death in his bedroom. They are evidently both worshippers and seekers of all the spin-offs it gives them in votes and other connections within India. They will be remembered for it all, make no mistake. I know from contacts in London that the British Foreign Office is under no illusions about Sai Baba or them, for a start.

Visiting Puttaparthi is the secretary of AP finance, MV Subrahmanyam. Regarding this,The Hindustan Times article also states: “Subrahmanyam’s presence has led to speculation that the government may be planning to take over the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, invoking the powers under the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959.”The government reportedly denies this, but time will show. The law to do it exists, and who will not be tempted?

The many thousands of daily visitors to this website for the last month keep coming to hear what is not being told. A major campaign of enlightenment about all these revered criminals posing in monk’s robes is essential before India will gain the respect of people of stature in the world besides (and I am not talking about the Pope or his like!).

Sathya Sai Baba’s premature death?

Posted by robertpriddy on April 21, 2011

The Hindustan Times, 22nd Apl. states, “Doctors are making a last-minute effort to save the Baba.” The reports are getting more realistic, preparing for the announcement and all the arrangements that are being fought over, no doubt. Meanwhile the great myth about Sai Baba living into his 90s, as he has variously predicted (see here) – so “I can finish My Task” is no doubt to be blown apart, showing what a charlatan he was. See Sai Baba’s failed treatment + undercover probes

However, one of my Indian informants wrote (21st Apl):-

There are very strong , but unofficial and unconfirmed reports that Sai Baba died at 3.30pm yesterday India time ( wednesday…20th April )…most tv channels are reporting Sai Baba as “extremely critical”, and as ” all organs failed” and today morning’s medical bulletin has dropped the word “stable” and says “very critical”.

What my source did say is that there are a few strong indicators…4000 policemen and armed personnel deployed since yesterday evening in and around Puttaparthi, senior SB trust members Indulal Shah and PN Bhagavati rushed to Puttaparthi last evening, and the sb trust has asked 1000 seva dal volunteers to immediately rush to Puttaparthi…seemingly indicating something final has happened.

I also heard whispers that if at all possible, the SB trust would like to announce the event tomorrow as its Good Friday….so that the Jesus connect can be made and western devotees milked even further by turning PN into a world shrine…..meanwhile internal trust member squabbles are still at their peak…regarding who gets what, which could also be a reason an official announcement has not been made yet.

As zeenews.com explains today “Sajeeva Samadhi” is the practice of burying enlightened souls while they are still alive. The report about his Samadhi gains credence as members of the Sathya Sai Central Trust held a meeting today to discuss the Trust’s affairs in the wake of the Baba’s deteriorating health.” Knowing the clandestine and deceiving methods of the Sathya Sai Central Trust and most ashram officials, no possibility can be excluded.
That anyone can seriously even suggest that anyone should be buried ALIVE is so outrageous that one has to say “only in India” could this occur. The history of Indian ‘saints’, ‘godmen’ and other supposed holies apparently does actually recognize the value of such an event – the wilful interment of a living person by his own followers. That this is accepted without a public outrage in a democratic society which recognises human rights in theory, if all too poorly in practice, would amaze the world (should the world even notice it). The burial of Sai Baba will cause but a media ripple compared to the big waves that the Royal Wedding in UK is already building up. But Indian newspapers still promote the outdated idea that ‘millions of foreigners’ are devotees of Sai Baba. Perhaps there are a million of more-or-less devotees or ‘followers’, which is itself a very vague identification. To visit Sai Baba need not mean one ‘follows’ or even believes much in him, to take some interest neither so. The members of his organization abroad, though inflated purposely in every possible way, still only remains somewhere around the hundred thousand mark (see independent records).

It is reported widely that thousands of police are being drafted in to cope with the flood of devotees and the disturbances that are likely to occur (having already happened recently). This indicates that plans are well advanced for the announcement of the earthly end of Sai Baba, however this is done. That doctors are being rushed from the USA makes one ask, why not far, far sooner? The amount of money expended and dozens of top doctors and massive security was wasted on this controversial and widely-accused guru, and it is disgusting when one considers how most of the poor have hardly any health care or even the vital necessities of a proper living (other than the benefit of the sun’s warmth).

Express Buzz states: “The condition of the Baba has deteriorated. Most of his organs have suffered severe damage and stopped functioning. Doctors attending on him are making attempts to save the Baba. Let us pray,” state Revenue Minister N Raghuveera Reddy told reporters in Hyderabad after a high-level meeting with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in the Secretariat.”

Since most of his organs have stopped functions (including the liver) he would be clinically dead without intensive support. Does this not surely mean that the authorities are keeping him alive until such time as they consider it meet to disconnect him from all that ‘tricknology’ (as he calls it) and pronounce that he has ascended into wherever they choose to believe?

More desperate attempts at damage limitation? The attempt to save – at least in the eyes of Sathya Sai Baba believers – some kind of ‘spiritual credibility’ in events surrounding the death of the guru, it seems possible that a plan could have been devised by insiders earlier on that his death should take place on Good Friday so it might be seen by the indoctrinated to be a parallel to Jesus. The realization that he was dying does seem to have been gradually introduced, step by step, and it would not be impossible either to removed his life support on Good Friday – or in the event of his having deceased earlier, to keep him on ice (as it were) until about the time of the Crucifixion. If he dies tomorrow (Good Friday), the suspicion of manipulation will be increased. If not, we can write this off as a tentative conspiracy hypothesis which was not fulfilled!

The connection between Sathya Sai Baba and Jesus was established firmly by him in a discourse in 1972, where he declared that Jesus was his son, sent by himself to carry out the Christian mission – see full proof here.  There has been a relative trickle of believing Christian to Sathya Sai Baba, and nothing will serve to convince the mainstream Catholic and Protestant churches to accept Sai Baba’s preposterous claims, nor even the many warring Christian based and related sects and cults. It has hitherto had the opposite effect, if anything, and this will no doubt continue… deeply-held beliefs are very hard to change or stamp out. This will surely apply to the largely Indian following of Sai Baba, but his star is certainly not on in the ascendancy. He is unknown to billions and his name hardly ever occurs in any world media other than Indian outlets. What Sai followers simply do not understand one bit is how offensive Sai Baba’s claims about Jesus are deeply offensive to Christians (or would be had they known about them). The knife cuts both ways, for any unification of religions in this respect is entirely out of the question, despite Sai Baba’s attempts to capitalize on such an ideal.

Some of Sai Baba’s plethora of incorrect statements, gaffes, absurd howlers and supposed ‘omniscient’ insights into the life and times of Jesus and Christianity are found here:

(1) Sai Baba on the Birth date of Jesus

(2) Sai Baba’s on Jesus’ own words about himself
(3) Sai Baba about Jesus’s sufferings
(4) Sai Baba on the early years of Jesus
(5) Sai Baba on Birth of Jesus/and 3 kings from the East
(6) Sai Baba on the Status of Jesus
(7) Sai Baba about (St.) Paul and the closest devotees of Jesus
(8) Sai Baba on Romans and Jews
(9) Sai Baba on Jesus and the term Persona
(10) Sai Baba on Jesus and animal sacrifice
(11) Sai Baba on Jesus and his disciples
(12) Sai Baba on Moses love of Jesus!

Among the most laughable examples of Sathya Sai Baba’s complete ignorance of Christian history is his statement about Moses’ love for Jesus (he was actually ignorant of the famous Biblical fact that Moses lived many centuries before Jesus!):-

Sathya Sai Baba buried alive?

Posted by robertpriddy on April 20, 2011

LATEST – THE END IS NIGH?

The latest of a series of increasingly worried – but more realistic – reports seems that the great myth about Sai Baba living into his 90s, as he has predicted – so “I can finish My Task” is about to be blown apart.

FURTHER:  (April 20) “Speaking to Deccan Herald, Ananthpur District Collector Janardhan Reddy, admitting that the police have been put on an alert, said: “I have been regularly interacting with the doctors and they have expressed concerns over his condition. We are getting ready for any eventuality.”

Previously, the developing narrative about Sathya Sai Baba, in his critical condition of ‘living death’, took an incomprehensible grotesque twist. Several major Indian news outlets – like Indian Express, and India Today – consider this newsworthy enough to publish.

That anyone can seriously even suggest that anyone should be buried ALIVE is so outrageous that one has to say “only in India” could this occur. Yet the history of Indian ‘saints’, ‘godmen’ and other supposed holies apparently does actually recognize the value of such an event – the wilful interment of a living person by his own followers. As zeenews.com explains ““Sajeeva Samadhi” is the practice of burying enlightened souls while they are still alive.

What could be the possible motive of such a crime? One thought that springs to mind is that Sathya Sai Baba may already have expired and this is a way of disposing of the body while pretending he lives on. Rather far-fetched, but most of the Sai Baba story is like that. The background of all inventions by Sai Baba officials and followers are the demands of the guru that his every word must be fulfilled and his self-declared identity as God the incarnate Deity of all deities (any yet more extravagant statements) must be believed by all who wish the boons he may or may not give in an imagined afterlife. To have to admit that this self-proclaimed God Incarnate died of organ failure without being conscious would be a death-blow to the aspiration of many of his institutions, which rely on massive donations for their continuance. It is a matter of jobs and business too… the local areas around the ashrams have flourished while foreigners with fat purses have flocked to see the ‘living embodiment’. Could perhaps some think it would be best to entomb him before the government demand an autopsy on him or something, then he can continueue to inspire as some kind of once-living god idol who can then ‘speak from the grave’ to devotees and heal the unhealthy (as Sai Shirdi Baba supposedly does, accumulating vast funds from supplicants to this day)

The text of an article printed in two on-line news outlets

All this is impossible to sustain, for he has stated he would lift a range of mountains and fly unaided through the air (among many other preposterous things), yet devotees try to sustain some vestiges of his credibility, a most important issue being when he will die. He has predicted on two documented occasions that he will die aged 93, and on other likewise that he will live to be 96 (one must allow for the Indian method or reckoning age from inception, not birth – i.e. ca. one year different to the standard western way). But then he is almost certainly on his deathbed already. So to bury him alive, it has been mooted in the press, would mean he could live in his grave until the time of his predictions! It would be held that he had ‘ascended’, thereby reaching the state of mahasamadhi (in which it is believed one becomes unified with God). However, he has all along claimed that he was always entirely one with God at all times! Figure that those who have time to waste!

Fantastic as this will all seem to all but the deeply indoctrinated followers (and there are millions of such), no such wild speculation has ever crossed my mind, despite my knowing from 18 years leadership in the Sathya Sai Organization, how broad and deep is the truly lunatic fringe around the guru. As I have suggested earlier, some mythology, some ‘famous last words’ or the like would be invented to cover-up the fact that Sathya Sai Baba is now a dumb, semi-conscious ‘basket case’ whose life is on a thread without any of the powers or divine healing or miracle accomplishments so many have claimed he must possess. The preposterous ‘sanjeeva samadhi’ ploy illustrates the nature of much of the sick-minded doctrine with its weird speculations and simplistic Pollyanna moralizing that Sai Baba has used to attract most of his following.

Miracle in Puttaparthi? As to the much sought-after miracles to surround his death, one has already been produced in a handy location (Puttaparthi) – by what means no one can investigate (it stopped fairly soon). It has apparently brought crowds of devotees to thankful tears in their ‘sackcloth and ashes prayer’ routines… crowding the shop-owners’ locale to the point that police has to deploy. One can confidently expect more of the same kind of thing from now onwards.. and for many a long year to come!

India Today took up the story, as follows:-

Sathya Sai Baba critical, NOT stable, worries doctors

Posted by robertpriddy on April 19, 2011

The MOST RECENT (20TH APRIL) of a series of increasingly worried – but more realistic – reports seems that the great myth about Sai Baba living into his 90s, as he has predicted – so “I can finish My Task” is about to be blown apart.

____________________________________________________________________________________________
PREVIOUSLY

Satya Sai Baba remains in critical stage
Tuesday health status. Satya Sai Baba who is undergoing treatment at Sathya Sai Super Speciality Hospital at Puttaparthi in Anantapur district remains in critical stage. The doctors who are attending on him expressed their worries about his slow response to treatment. Baba is still remains only on the supporting system. His vital organs like lungs and liver are showing only a slow response to treatment. The medical bulletin issued on Tuesday says. A.N.Safya, the director of SSSSH said that Baba is still under support of ventilator and continuous renal replacement therapy of dialysis. The health statement added that Baba’s blood pressure is not constant and it is normalized by administering suitable medicines. Doctors are in vigil in attending him round the clock. The medical bulletin did not mention anywhere about his health as stable and which worries his thousands and thousands of devotees. Sathya Sai Baba is 85 years old and he was admitted to the hospital on March 28th and he entered the 23rd day of his treatment.

I pointed out over a day before this announcement that the reports that Sai Baba’s condition was stable were belied by the other information given… and now at last his medical minders have left out this very word! They are slowly learning, step by step… while anyone with an analytic capacity can see their confusion and how they express themselves contradictorily, all being ‘devotees of Sathya Sai Baba’! One thing they cannot do is rid themselves of the long and deep indoctrination that his supposed miracles induced in them  – never tested by independent observers or scientifically proven, of course, but often proved to be sleight-of-hand and mere rumours spread on purpose to enhance his self-claimed ‘inscrutable mystery’. It is no mystery to people who are experienced in these matters and who can see what his medical condition indicates… just as with any other aged and strongly-handicapped person who gets the same multiple organ dysfunctions over such a long period.

Sathya Sai Baba’s condition & his ‘minder’

Posted by robertpriddy on April 19, 2011

Sathya Sai Baba is now almost a corpse and no doubt would be one, were it not for the tubes and machines keeping organs functioning peripherally. Despite all the prayers of however many devotees, it’s only a matter of time… and not long either, take note! See Sai Baba’s failed treatment + undercover probes

LATEST REPORTS (Apl 20th)  THE END IS NIGH? The latest of a series of increasingly worried – but more realistic – reports seems that the great myth about Sai Baba living into his 90s, as he has predicted – so “I can finish My Task” is about to be blown apart.

Yesterday NDTV stated:
“His vital systems including liver are showing minimal response to treatment, which is a cause of worry to the treating doctors,” a medical bulletin issued this morning by the Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences said.

He continues to be on ventilator support and his blood pressure continues to show periodic fluctuation which is being corrected by appropriate drugs, it said.”

As ever, those who are in a position to report on the true state of affairs are not telling what lies behind the smoke and mirrors of the Central Trust and doctors’ pronouncements. One of my reliable ex-Sai-student Indian informants reports as follows:-

“I read this in a Telugu newspaper – Dr Safaya stated that without Sathyajit, treatment cannot take place as he is “close” to SB and therefore, has been allowed inside the ICU. Apparently, SB “likes” him a lot and Sathyajit is the only one who can decipher SB’s “body language”. This means Sathyajit has been allowed inside the ICU from day one.
This is in direct contrast to the earlier statement issued by SB’s medical team that immediate family members were the only ones allowed inside the ICU! Maybe the doctors were embarrassed to reveal that SB is pining for a young man unrelated to him!”
(See also from The Deccan Herald “Caretaker‘s access concerns devotees: One of Satya Sai Baba’s students has been allowed access to the ICU where the guru has been receiving treatment. The student, identified as Satyajit, has been alleged to have let the 85-year—old spiritual leader’s health to decline, though they have largely remained unfounded without evidence. Sathyajit, who has been ‘serving’ the godman for over half a decade now, has been accused by a prominent Andhra politician, among others, as ‘the reason for Baba’s bad health.“ However, Dr Safaya said: ‘He is the only person who is in a position to comprehend what Swami is communicating.“ Satyajit deciphers the gestures and articulates it to us so that we can administer better treatment.“)

Most residents well know Sathya Sai Baba’s favourite ‘boy’ has shared his bedroom and “served” him for long time. As have so many others have! This is a fact that Sai Baba himself has reported in discourses on two different occasions! (See excerpt from his discourse here)

In a startling development, devotees in Puttaparthi have lodged a complaint with the police there that the Sathya Sai Central Trust is a threat to the life of Sathya Sai Baba! Do they not know that the Puttaparthi police have long been entirely bought out and entrapped by the Central Trust? Obviously they have not hitherto wanted to ‘see, hear or speak ill’ as SB tells all to do (so simplistically and against all natural human and pressing social needs to reveal wrongdoing). But they are speaking up now, and some!

further excerpt from The Times article as above

Further: Allegations in the media have flourished against Mr. Ratnakar, nephew of Sathya Sai Baba’s deceased young brother Janakiramiah (who oversaw the executions of four devotees in Sai Baba’s bedroom 1994). Ratnakar was in the 1980s employed as a manager of the State Bank of India branch in Puttaparthi and has been handling financial transactions for Sai Baba. It was held that he had stashed away crores of ill-gotten gains in Swiss banks and other assets. This he has denied in public, as the following scanned excerpt from the Deccan Herald article shows:-

Baba kin denies charges of fraud April 19,2011 l DC Correpondent l Hyderabad/Anantapur/Puttaparthi
“Question of any diversion of funds or unauthorised expenditure does not arise as all projects have to be approved by Baba, who has the sole power to sign cheques,” Mr Ratnakar said‘ Foreign contributions were credited in a separate bank account as per home ministry’s Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, Baba’s nephew said‘ Trustees or oouncil members did not receive any remuneration or other benefits from the trust and rendered services for free after being inspired by Baba. he said.

However, this last is false, as ‘other benefits’ were definitely given in a large public and publicized ceremony – see proof:-
Donations to Sathya Sai Central Trust misused by/for directors etc. Five cars given to fat cat officials by Sai Baba from Sai Central Trust funds, where at least two of them are directors! So, where this fact is covered up – or lied about – one can fairly suspect that there are others. Sathya Sai Baba’s official journal editor, now deceased V.K. Narasimhan, knew of considerably corruption and embezzlement in the Sathya Sai Central Trust, about which he informed me privately on several occasions, not least when I asked him about how best to ensure that my donations of a book I wrote best could be ensured would go to the intended beneficiaries. See here also The very heavy burden I inherited.

What kind of service do his closest students or “form boys” provide? There are diverse kinds, as most of his close assistants have known for decades. Take Isaac Tigrett, for example, the Hard Rock ‘beefburger king’ and top Sai dog devotee and confounded mystic, who confirmed he believes that Sai Baba sexual abuse allegations are true – on the BBC film ‘The Secret Swami’!
Here is one glimpse from the massed evidence and testimony of what goes one behind the curtains and closed doors:-

Sathya Sai Baba life support problem

Posted by robertpriddy on April 18, 2011

April 20th: LATEST of a series of increasingly worried – but more realistic – reports from the doctors makes it appear that the great myth about Sai Baba living into his 90s, as he has predicted – so his reason “I can finish My Task” is about to be blown apart. The end is almost certainly closer and closer.

Earlier reports (Apl 19th) state that Sathya Sai Baba’s condition remains critical. NDTV states:
“His vital systems including liver are showing minimal response to treatment, which is a cause of worry to the treating doctors,” a medical bulletin issued this morning by the Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences said.
He continues to be on ventilator support and his blood pressure continues to show periodic fluctuation which is being corrected by appropriate drugs, it said.”

Repeated statements from Dr. Safaya and the Sathya Sai Central Trust – among others – are worded so as to reassure as far as possible the devotees of Sai Baba. The phrases “satisfied with the response”, “parameters continue to be nearly normal”, “his condition continues to be stable”  (if critical) make it seem that this critical condition is only just a little away from normal. However, the fact is, Sathya Sai Baba is on a life support system. This almost certainly means that, were all the supportive medical interventions removed, his life would not be supported. In short, he is being kept alive by the use of drugs and emergency clinical techniques. This is not the miraculous sankalpa of “His Divine Will” (except in the minds of devotees which are beyond cognitive repair so far as to think he is taking on the sufferings of his devotees or even the entire world).

Without the life-support system, independent medical opinion would surely expect him to die sooner than later. The malfunctioning of the chief body organs are like this:-

1) the heart (which stopped and had to be operated with a pacemaker) and which now shows fluctuating low blood pressure levels

2) the lungs (which are not muscularly strong enough to keep him breathing sufficiently and cannot expel mucus, so needing medication against spreading infection and a respirator)

3) the kidneys (which have been on more or less continuous dialysis because they cannot expel bodily waste materials which accumulate there as poison)

4) the liver (the very name of which indicates its vital importance to life), was and likely still is badly infected with jaundice and requires constant monitoring so it will not worsen.

5) Last but far from least, the digestive system – unable to eat food, Sai Baba is on intravenous sustenance.

The doctors do not spell things out like this, however, they are both devotees and therefore extra careful diplomats – not least considering the powerful emotions raging around the guru, the diverse accusations of misdeeds by SB’s minders and the litigation against those in charge of his assets and person.

Sathya Sai Baba relapses & deceits flourish -17/4

Posted by robertpriddy on April 17, 2011

LATEST ADMISSION BY SAI BABA DOCTORS: New doctors have caused a revision of the plans to move Sai Baba to his residence in 2 weeks. It is not possible because he needs to remain on life support and his condition has been worsening for the past three days, we are now informed (despite the usual assurances during that period). Not only that, but the fact that an unsigned announcement that Sathya Sai Baba would be able to be returned to his residence (i.e. palace) thickens the plot further! This is all actually fairly standard for the way information has always been handled by the ashram and Central Trust authorities… watch this space for news on more of the same deceits.

Sathya Sai Baba’s condition sets off crisis

Posted by robertpriddy on April 17, 2011

The minders of Sathya Sai Baba – those in control of him – stand accused of a series of inhumane acts from half-starving him to using drugs to affect him. Their motives are considered to be a dark chapter that devotees and some politicians – such as BJP leaders – want to get cleared up, not least through legal process. The battle over the ravaged body of this largely unconscious ‘Avatar’ (who claims not to be the body in any case, nor to be affected by anything worldly whatever, being omniscient and omnipotent) is an eye-opener as to the Indian religious belief system and its fantastic anomalies and throws more of the same light on the state of civil society and its endemic corruption, double-accounting and acceptance of fraud as a part of the natural order of life as do a long series of massive scams and deceptions that are rocking India’s credibility as a contender to role in civilized world affairs. (i.e the Commonwealth Games massive corruption and fiasco, the Telecom scam… just to mention some of the biggest and latest windows into Indian social culture.

Yesterday the Times of India included further details about how Sai Baba is believed to be treated by his minders:-

Sathya Sai Baba’s trillions of worshippers

Posted by robertpriddy on April 17, 2011

The continuing massive Indian furore about Sathya Sai Baba has not yet reached the international news media to any noticeable extent. The fact is, India’s richest godman is hardly known at all except to Indians and what amounts to a relative handful of foreigners! Despite this the Sai Baba fanatics, who abound in India and whose delusions are reproduced faithfully by the majority of the Indian press (since it is politically correct there to do so, and can have bad consequences if not done) make the most laughable claims about the extent of Sai Baba’s following, as the Google results here show.

How anyone in their right minds can talk about trillions of followers, when the entire humanity through all the ages does not amount to a dozen or so billions is a good question. Perhaps these devotees include as worshippers all the countless living beings that have existed? It is not foreign to Indian religious mythology (taken as gospel by vast numbers of them) to consider animals as worshipping God… even bees and ants sometimes!

Barry Pittard (former teacher at Sathya Sai Baba’s Brindavan College) comments amusingly on a recent news bulletin which stated: “the spontaneous upsurge of prayers, bhajans, namasmarana, candle light processions of millions and millions of His devotees all over the globe for His very early and total recovery”.

I invite my dear reader to use the simple expedient of sticking his or her head out the nearest window just to check whether they can see any of it ….. If you should enjoy processions, some you may have to wait for Saint Patrick’s Day in, say, New York, Chicago or Dublin, or the Carnival in Rio, or the Berlin Love Parade, or some such.

The fantasy statements about himself by Sathya Sai Baba far exceed those made by his followers, as one sees from a run through of several recent Pittard postings. Or one can also go to Wikiquotes for a small sample.

The Sathya Sai Organization, in which I served (with difficulty but hopes of improvements) as national leader of Norway for 18 years, always pressures its members to recruit more (which is largely unsuccessful as the huge majority of followers prefer mostly to stay outside and avoid its continual authoritarian demands, crass moralising and strong pressures to conform totally). Above all, the numbers must be inflated one way or another – it is a matter of prestige to most leaders (thinking they will get extra blessing and privileges). Thus, the cult of exaggeration – instituted and carefully sustained through decades by Sathya Sai Baba himself – is fully accepted. See Sai Baba’s exaggerations: The Numbers’ game – the wilful falsification of numbers by Sathya Sai Baba & his organization or also Sathya Sai Organization – False Propaganda

Now at last the Sathya Sai Central Trust – a double-accounting tax- and duty-free secret and clandestine power-broking body par excellence – is coming under some scrutiny by Indians themselves. Critics’ contention that it is totally unaccountable is now widely confirmed. Yet one has to doubt whether this is being done out of ethical principles or a desire to find out how to grasp a part of its assets when the patient eventually expires. See  Sathya Sai Baba fully silenced, even maltreated and imprisoned?
